    This place is good, but not great, as it can be hit or mess. On the good side their skillets are great, but offer almost too much food for one person to finish. Their pies are aways very good and they offer a free slice on Wednesday with any purchase. On the down side their service can be slow and depending on the cook some dishes can be great or not so great.

    Recently remodeled but always seems to be short on servers and cooks - expect to wait AFTER being seated. It would be nice if server warned you of short staffing and how long it will take for food to come, (45 mins. after ordering simple breakfast - about 25% of tables seated) but there is no communication and server got frustrated when we asked ETA of food.

    Extremely disappointing!! We didn't have a server, ever. The manager finally came over and took out order. We never heard from anyone after that. My waffle was painfully overcooked and near black when it was delivered. The extremely friendly lady at the front was the only positive.

    The first time we went, the food was good and the service was all right, but we saw another guest seat himself (and get subtly berated for it) because no one was watching the door. The second time we went, we received drinks from the hostess and then waited for at least 20 minutes for a server to come and take our order. We spent our money someplace else.

    The service was terrible, and the food was worse. I am still trying to figure out what kind of eggs they use to make the omelette. Must come out of a box or something. Weird texture and flavor. Then the syrup for the pancakes must be just brown sugar and water. Gross...

    Awful!!! I love the veggie omelette from village inn but NOT at this one. I've been here twice and sent my food back both times. The first time they didn't offer to take my meal off of the bill. The second time they did take off my meal but only after my request. Go to iHop down the street instead- much better!!

    This is a chain diner. Don't expect anything fantastic. Personally, I like this place enough to visit at least once a month. For a breakfast all day place (and I am a breakfast gal), they are leagues better than all the competition (IHOP included). They seem to have stepped up their game recently, so I'm going to update my review. I have had: + the strawberry crepes. I used to think these were delish, but either my taste buds changed or their sauce got sweeter. Now I find sickeningly sweet. + the french toast. I've tried the strawberry banana, which has that crepe sauce on it, but is otherwise good, and I've also ordered french toast with just fresh strawberries and blueberries on it. Their fruit is always very fresh. I love fruit but I'm picky and won't eat anything even remotely imperfect, but there isn't ever any less than stellar fruit on any of their items. And that is something I appreciate. Their french toast is good! It's pretty standard, but it's yummy. + the five cheese omelette. I've never had a problem with any of their eggs. They use cream cheese in their omelette and it really puts it a cut above the average diner omelette (or any other just cheese and egg omelette I've had). + the "grown up" grilled cheese (sans bacon). They use parmesan crusted bread for this and it really makes a difference in terms of flavor. My boyfriend, however, tried it with bacon and said that the bacon was so smoky that he didn't notice the parmesan. + the tomato soup. In case you were wondering, this has real chunks of tomato and herbs and things in it. It's not Campbell's variety. I used to like this also, but last time I had it, the flavor seemed off and I found it unappetizing. + the breakfast burrito, sans meat and chili. The first time I had it, it was meh. Inside was soggy (they use black beans which is a huge plus but I think they are canned and not drained) and not enough cheese. Last time was better. More eggs, so not soggy, more potatoes (yum), a healthy serving of cheese inside. Pretty standard. This is one of those places that will serve your sour cream on the side, though, so if you want sour cream be sure to ask for it inside. + the lemon supreme pie. Delicious! The crust isn't something you try to avoid, which rarely happens for me when it comes to pies. The filling stuff is tasty - enough lemon and enough sweetness, also. + the triple berry pie. I am a berry aficiando, and this isn't the standard, beloved strawberry-blueberry-raspberry combo. They replace blueberries with blackberries, if I remember correctly. Personally, it took me a few "meh" bites before this pie really grew on me and I realized it was pretty awesome. Service is usually good to great. Sometimes you get a weirdo, but I have had a lot of good experiences. One lady who works here regularly treats us to free pie because she frequents our work frequently. My most recent server didn't charge me for fries AND reduced my entree price because I didn't want meat. She also AUTOMATICALLY brought me ranch and ketchup, before I had a chance to ask. Now THAT is what I call some good customer service. And if you like quiet, soothing environments where most of the other patrons are sweet old people, then this place is pretty nice.
