2 stars is not me trying to say this place is bad - In fact, I eat here about once a week when I'm in town. 2 stars is me saying it's not very good... There's a good selection of meats, cheeses, and breads. But I;m pretty sure it's all pre-packaged stuff... I could do this at home, just not with the kind of selection they have. It would cost me a fortune to be able to keep it up at my place... That being said, the employees are very friendly, and the food is OK... It's a build your own sandwich with ingredients we bought at safeway, for you. Oh! I think the Red Chilli is homemade, and that's actually pretty good.

What a fantastic little place! I am in Casper for a few days for work, and I really try and stick to good, healthy, non-fried food... which when you travel for work.. can be very challenging. I tried this place due to some good Yelp reviews... and I was totally taken back! This place is awesome! Its a build your own place, whether that be a sandwich, wrap, or salad. I am not talking Subway style (Ill have this... More of that... Whoa way too much mayo... etc), you literally get tongs in the beginning of the line and pick your own ingredients. Now onto that... these toppings were REALLY high quality. You can tell everything is fresh, and they chop all ingredients every morning. I went with a wrap, but the bread really did look yummy and they have like 6 different types! They had a good selection of deli meats, plus egg, chicken, and tuna salad. I went with the peppercorn turkey and it was really good. They even have things like sprouts, mushrooms, cucumbers, and red and yellow bell peppers to go in your creation. There is also no shortage of condiment choices, from a few different types of mayo's, mustards, even pesto and hummus! The owner was at the front when I came in and he was so nice and friendly. I really enjoyed The Sandwich Bar! I will come back on every visit to Casper, and I recommend you visit too!

Traveling through Casper with three little kids and this was our best road trip lunch ever. Seriously fresh, seriously yummy and perfect for a family. We will come back.

Stopped at this place on my way through Casper and really enjoyed it. You get to make your own sandwiches with a plethora of ingredients. Then, they charge you by weight. It was efficient as people moved through the line and fun to make my own sandwich with tons if ingredients I wouldn't have around my house at one time. It's also in the cute downtown of Casper, which was a bonus. Also, one of the employees in particular was super welcoming and helpful. I'd definitely recommend this place for lunch if you're in Casper!

We stopped in for a quick breakfast and had our burritos in about three seconds! They were steamy hot, tasty, and has just enough spice. We were in and out in maybe 8 minutes and left very satisfied! Service was friendly and helpful.

Did I just pay to make my own sandwich? The staff is way friendly and try to help when you are new. This bumped up my rating, so don't set your expectations too high. I would definitely suggest having more original ingredients instead of things I can by myself at the grocery store. Maybe if they had home made bread and fresher meats it would work. The veggies were good but it was weird having so many people behind the counter and I had to make my own sandwich. I like wraps but I passed because the mission burrito shells were nothing special. They have soup specials that I did not try so that could be something that I missed. All in all they are very nice with a different concept. They may have something if they step it up to the next level and have fresh ingredients.

Was just looking for a quick breakfast treat, they throw together a breakfast burrito in a minute and out the door, sausage-egg-potato and leaves you feeling better than hitting up a drive through.

Great sandwhich shop. In a just world, this place would run Subways out of business. Build your own sandwhich for a reasonable price. Super nice owner and staff.

Excellent food! Great prices! ! Fresh salads, sandwiches and baked potatoes!! This is exactly what the name says..just like a salad bar but pretty much anything you could ever want to put on a sandwich, right at your figure tips. You pay by the pound so choose careful.

Stopped here on our way home to CO. So fresh and tasty! Super friendly staff, had variety of breads, meats, and toppings! Option to make a salad as well. Clean, cute environment. Will stop again!

This DYI sandwich bar is pretty straightforward: you walk in, grab a tray and a set of tongs and build your sandwich. They weigh it once you're done building it to determine the price. Meat lovers beware: if you load up on salami, ham, AND pastrami - you're sammie's gonna cost all the birthday money you got from your Grandma. Mine only rang up at $5.24. As soon as I walked in I was greeted by a staff member who told me how the process works. While I made my sandwich, this staff member and the owner crack jokes with me until I left: very friendly folks. They offer horseradish as a condiment, and fresh spinach and banana peppers as topping, so they are not lacking in variety. Everything was fresh - including the bread. Simple. Quick. Horseradish.

Been there a couple times now... had to give it a second chance.... Uninspired...breads I can get at Sam's club...same with meats but if I buy it myself I wouldn't have topay so damned much money for what I get.

My husband and I are from Portland: we're hard to impress with new food concepts. We're so spoiled with restaurants and options that we don't usually expect a sandwich joint to knock our socks off. Still, The Sandwich Bar surprised and delighted us: walk in, grab a tray and a pair of tongs, survey the options, and make your own sandwich. We don't get to do that in Portland! Downtown Casper has some delightful little places to eat, but this is easily one of my favorites for lunch. The process of creating your individual masterpiece is fun, and the ingredients are so fresh that the resulting sandwich is nothing less than perfect. The staff and owner are welcoming, friendly and helpful. Major thumbs up! We'll be back!

we are from all then way in san josé, California: we drove from SJ to Denver, up to Spokane, and back down. we were desperate for our native, organic, local, hippie-bullshit fare and found the "sandwich bar"... we were way into "hey! how are ya?!" when we came in. cheap, great choices, and NON-FAST FOOD.

Simple, fun, and small. Just the way I like it. This place rocks. The staff is always friendly, everything is ALWAYS fresh, and it's a fun environment to get a sandwich and sit and eat.

For what it's name is... a SANDWICH BAR... It's exactly that. It's kinda like a salad bar, but you make sandwiches instead. There is a whole selection of breads, meats, cheeses, fix-ins, sauces... I mean they got everything! First you select your cheese and bread, then meat, then fix-ins, and then your spread. After that you weigh it out. The prices are fixed by weight. I can't exactly remember what they were... What I do remember is this: if you make it weigh a lot, you will pay a lot. You really can't go wrong with a place like this, unless you don't expect your double decker, with extra meat and tomatoes to cost about eight dollars. That's what happened to me. I made a double decker with just about everything on it, and it weighed to a price of just over 8 bucks! I expected that I would pay 5 or so. (I thought it was going to be cheaper because they saved on labor to make it.) Any how, it was good. The meat was fresh. The bread to. And everything else I put on it. I was satisfied... :) I'll bet they buy the premo goods for these sandwiches because, IT WAS FRESH! (statement redefined: Fresh as in; That girl over there is fresh!) The guy who helped me with the run down about how it all worked was cool. He seemed as excited that it was my first time in there as I did. -I definitely recommend this place.

We used a "Seize the Deal" coupon that brought us here. What a great little find of a place in downtown Casper! Basically you make your own sandwich out of several different breads & rolls and loads of different cheeses and meats and sauces. At the end, they weigh it and you pay for what you created. The prices I felt were very reasonable- the sandwich YOU create is going to be in my opinion much better than what the high school kid at Subway creates for you. If you love spicy- you can load it up with peppers and spicy sauce to your own taste. The owner was very friendly and the place was clean and the food was FANTASTIC!!! Great hidden jewel amongst the chains in Casper!

It was okay. My husband ordered a reuban but they put the saurkraut on the side...it is better when you toast it with it on the flavors kind of meld. The russian dressing was on the side also. I had a club. I felt they were a little skimpy on the meat and it was cut to thick...I really love sandwiches with those thin almost shaved meat on it. In a sanwich place it would have been nice to have freshly roasted turkey on a club in stead of just deli meat...it was okay probably won;t go back because I can do this at subway if I want processed meat...
