We stayed at the Occidental Hotel, which is attached to the Virginian restaurant. We wanted a classy and creative dining experience and were willing to pay extra. Though the atmosphere is nice, at best the appetizers, entrées and service were "average" and definitely not worth the high prices.

You will not be disappointed!! The food was outstanding and the service was with a smile. My wife and I each had a Lettuce Wedge, it was at the top,if not the best I have had. My wife had the Fettucine with Wild Mushrooms and I had the Pear with Gorgonzola Ravioli. Both were Outstanding. Keep in mind, this is a Steak place, it has got to be the Tops!!

Best Elk tenderloin I've ever had! Pricier place but well worth it for a special evening. I also highly recommend the potsticker appetizer. I do wish they had a few nicer selections of wine by the glass or bottle. Linger awhile next door in the Occidental Hotel Lobby. Beautiful antiques and there are tons of history and old photos on the hotel to read about.

Whew...this was an unfortunate dinner. Everything was lukewarm. The soup, the salad, the wine, the entrees...but the creme brûlée was delicious, so that's why they got two stars. It was absolutely not worth the price.

Admittedly, it's been several years since dining here but the recollection is strong. The lamb chops, not on the current menu, were absolutely delicious. Everything else we ordered was very good to excellent. Buffalo Wyoming, who woulda thunk it?

Amazing atmosphere, terrible food. From what I understand they go through cooks pretty often, so hopefully they get a new one soon.
