The food here is pretty good but the service is SLOW. I have been here many times and the service has been slow every time. The chicken salad is very tasty.

There are many choices around Cabellas now, fortunately since the food at the sports store is marginal. This is a solid chain restaurant just serving food . I'd eat here again on my next trip through the area. The interior is nice includng the aquarium and fireplace.

Food was delicious. I got the Chicken Alfredo Pasta and husband got Asian Salad. The only issue was we ordered an appetizer and gave him food order at same time and after 20 minutes had to ask about appetizer.

Cheddars has always been one of our favorites. I will say the past year or so it has gone SO FAR DOWNHILL. The food isn't what it was, the servers are generally less than adequate except for a rare few that we request when we eat there. Not sure what is happening there, but we don't go as much at all anymore.

Cheddar's is really great. I love the fish tacos and philly cheese steak. And the coleslaw? Amazing. The chips and queso and onion rings are an amazing appetizer. Yes, there is a wait, but it's worth it. The prices are very good and the food is so worth it.

Ordered chicken alfredo.... I found a broken piece of tooth pick in my first dish and sent it back. The manager came out and explained they use these to mark special orders which I didnt have.... the second dish had hairs in it.... Never again.

I have been to Cheddars several times in both Triadelphia and Morgantown. The wait staff is always friendly and the reasonable prices don't represent the upscale décor of the restaurant. This last time I got Cajun catfish, macaroni and cheese, and broccoli cheese casserole and it only came to $7.79! The only complaint I have ever had is that their meats tend to be a little on the salty side. The Shepherd's pie I had in Morgantown was almost inedible it was so salty.

Never had a bad meal here. The place is pretty dim inside and could use some brighter lights, though. Prices are very reasonable. Go for the chicken tenders or buffalo chicken wrap or chicken and waffles.

I was traveling and when I saw Cheddar's, I decided to make a stop! I know they serve Monte Cristo sandwiches here and there are no Cheddar's where I live. The sandwich was great - as I remember. The service was not. Impatient waitress ruined my mood. Thanks, Nicole D...

In summary - food was OK, the servers were pleasant but the kitchen was slow, and prices were very reasonable. Stopped by with the family late afternoon on Saturday. The restaurant looks really nice inside. There's a lot of brick, an impressive aquarium, and a neat paddle fan that rotates vertically to the floor like a full circle rowing machine. The menu was pretty standard American, but what caught my attention was how reasonable the prices were - half pound burgers between $7 and $8 after adding fries, and most traditional entrees were between $8 and $14. That included ribs, steaks, salmon, and combination entrees. The only items that were slightly overpriced were the kids meals at around $5 each. Everything to this point is trending towards 4 or 5 stars. After putting in our order we started noticing the flaws. I didn't time it, but the wait on food was longer than typical. I noticed folks who arrived and ordered well after us already being served. When our food did arrive the food was warm, but not hot. I had the baby-back hickory smoked ribs and fried shrimp combo with fries and broccoli. The ribs were decent: no noticeable smokey flavor and a tad under-seasoned but very tender. The fries were meh and the broccoli was a little overcooked and drab. The five fried shrimp in the combo were very good, to the point that my kids pilfered most of them. The wife and kids didn't complain about their meals, but didn't seem amazed either. I will say the kids meals I originally felt were overpriced were large enough to feed an adult.

Better than I expected. Ordered steamed broccoli as a side and had such a tiny order come out I was shocked. Burger fair. Complained about side and they brought more. Thought steamed broccoli was just broccoli. This was swimming in butter and garlic. Wife got lunch combo of half a sandwich and salad and loved it. Kids had pasta and enjoyed it.

Was better than expected! I read that this place is somewhere between an Eat N Park and a TGI Fridays. I'd say closer to the style of a TGIFridays. I ordered the steakhouse burger with Mac and cheese and broccoli casserole side and everything was great. Prices are cheap too. I'd go back of I were in the area.

Food was decent, but the service was comical. I actually wondered what they'd screw up next. - I ordered a Diet Dr Pepper, my friend ordered a Diet Coke. I received the Diet Coke, she received the Diet Dr Pepper; no effort was made by the server to help him distinguish one from the other - I ordered my drink without ice, it came with ice - I ordered my sandwich without tomato, it came with tomato - I asked for green beans with my sandwich, but received french fries - Neither my friend or I received a knife or napkins - We had to hunt down our server for drink refills My friend lives in Pittsburgh and I live in Columbus, so we thought this might be a good "half-way" place to meet and have lunch. We will choose a different establishment next time.

Ordered a cheeseburger with a fully loaded baked potato for lunch. The burger was awful. Cold and dry burger in addition to being very sloppy (mayo was very runny) potato awful and dry as well and waaaaaaay too salty.

Food was ok. Kitchen and waitstaff were slow and didn't seem to care that we were here.

Awesome dinner both times my family and I came here. The service is wonderful, the food is great, and it's very clean! Would definitely recommend this restaurant!

Friendly chain restaurant. Stopped on the way to Louisville, KY for work. Let me just start by saying this isn't the type of place I would choose to eat at, but I am happy to say it was a pleasant experience. The food was standard fare and not bad, I got the smokehouse burger and it was pretty darn good. The service was what shined though. The moment we stepped foot in the door we had friendly people making sure our time there, while brief, was good. No doubt about it, if I am passing through Wheeling and need a quick meal I'll be sure to stop back at Cheddar's.

They have a line 20 deep waiting every night. Then you finally get a table after waiting 20 minutes to find out their is 20 empty tables!!! Been their 3 times same thing .Slow staff food is average . Have to wait forever to get your check to get out of the place. Its either under staffing or a ploy to make people driving by to think wow they must have good food look at the line of waiting people!!!!

Edible at best. The sirloin was good, the shrimp were terrible (had a fishy taste). Asked if green beans were steamed or in a sauce. Told steamed and came out in a sauce and soggy like canned veggies. Service was overall very good. The waitress tried to correct the green beans by substituting broccoli. I can say I've tried Cheddar's, but doubt I will go back.

Never heard of this chain. We don't have any down in my area. We were on a road trip and wanted to have nice hour or so out of the car. We saw a sign on the highway and thought why not. It was Easter so there was not to many people eating out that night. We got a table right away. Our watercress was awesome. She was busy because of the holiday they were running on a short staff but that didn't cause her a bit of a problem. She made sure the drinks were out and full and that our food order was right. The food was way better than what I though it would be. Most of the time with a chain the food is just the same across the board. I would stop her again if I was passing through.

    I really feel like they're putting out a decent product here, and doing it well. Its a sit-down spot, very similar to an Applebees, but I feel like the atmosphere was nicer. It didn't have all of that kitschy nick-knack dust-collecting crap all over the place--I really hate that look! We've eaten here twice and both times were equally good! The service was good and the food was good! I ordered the ribs the first time, pretty safe choice, but it was delicious! Second time around, I got (I know... aim high) Chicken fingers, but seriously.... there were not typical at all! The guy next to us ordered them and they looked sooo good and I wasn't very hungry, so I gave it a shot and was not disappointed at all! Also, the Baked Potato Soup was AMAZING! If you like that soup, I'd tell you a thousand times to give it a shot here! PROS: Food has been consistently good; Menu consists of some pretty traditional comfort-food types; Pricing is perfect for a sit down of this type; Service has been good; Restrooms are CLEAN! :) CONS: On the weekend, expect upwards of a 45 minute wait (but it goes quickly); We wished the bar was bigger;

We love Cheddar's however this visit was not a great one. The food we ordered was not up to our expectations of Cheddar's. The Triple Treat Sampler appetizer was not as good as other Cheddar locations and The Sheppard's Pie was basically the ground meet mixture with a small scoop of mashed potatoes on top. This too was different than what we have had at other locations. The service was just OK... Not friendly, not nasty just robotic... Maybe an off day... :-(

15 bucks for a solid lunch for 2 is a great deal. Not that the burgers weren't great - the little salad with blue cheese was the highlight! That was a darned good little side salad. Quick service. Recommended.

Wow I really wish we had one of these in Columbus! Aside from the long wait to get seated (I figured this meant it was good) I really liked this place. I ordered a Monte Cristo sandwich, one of my favorite dishes and so hard to find! It was massive, indulgent, and delicious! Came with some pretty good cole slaw although not the best ever. My friend got a huge hunk of baked pasta that had a funky name. He polished it off in no time flat and attested to its good flavor. Service was good, and the food was out in what felt like an instant. Even better, the prices were very reasonable. If I ever stumble upon a Cheddar's in my travels again, I will be sure to visit.

My wife and I debated over whether this was 3 stars or 4. But based on service, plating, and the food I can barely give it 3. I ordered onion rings ($4) which was a huge plate of breaded rings. I like my rings thicker than their version plus they gave us very little sauce to go with it. And when the waitress doesn't check in until they bring out your meal, you forget about asking for it. I ordered the pick 2 ($6) of tortilla soup and half a club. This was cheaper than Panera but the Club was pathetic. I had looked at the burgers and sandwiches being laid out close to us and though half a club would be enough. It could have been enough if they placed meat, cheese, and bacon throughout the whole bread instead of piling on in the middle and forgetting about the edge. The soup must have spilled a little or been quickly dipped in because it was all over the sides of the bowl when it came to me. My wife ordered the chicken avocado sandwich ($6-8) which looked good with a huge piece of chicken on it. The chicken was sticking out on both ends but then it was more narrow than wide. She loved it while I wasn't into the honey flavored chicken. She loved it and compared to Applebees and Fridays, this place has some good price options for burgers and appetizers. The Burger are $4-$6 depending on what type but then fries are extra. I love this option since I prefer to order burgers without fries. I am not going out of my way to stop in here again but it is nice option compared to fast food with close to fast food prices. The Monte Cristo looked good albeit a little heavy and fried for my taste buds. The place is also huge and great for groups.

Good service. Decent food. Nice atmosphere. Place is always busy which is a good sign. Great value if you're on a budget.

You can just picture all the wide-eyed, pot-bellied locals salivating as they wait for 45 minutes to have slash-priced onion rings and greaseburgers. It's not hard to see the appeal here. In an era where Applebee's is charging ten dollars for a burger and fries, Cheddars offers the same burger at half the price hoping that you, elated at the savings, will buy a couple of their mixed drinks that will ultimately recoup the loss of food. The food? Nothing new. People eat here because it is "sit down" and "cheap". I get it. That's why I ate there.

The food is great! Excellent variety, though somewhat limited for vegetarians. (A few of the vegetables have meat in them and cannot be special ordered.) The mashed potatoes are meat free and phenomenal. The onion rings appetizer is well-worth the wait. Order them first then let the wait staff come back to take your entree order. I want to address the negative reviews about the service. Initially, Cheddar's was understaffed and overpopular. They have have long since resolved the problem. We regularly get friendly and efficient service. Keep in mind this is not fast food, however. This is a sit-down restaurant to enjoy a meal with family or friends.

Cheddar's is pretty good overall. The restaurant is nice and clean and the staff is friendly (but can be slow at times). The quality of food is really where Cheddar's shines.

Cheap version of Applebee's. Don't eat the fish taco's. This is why I try to avoid chain restaurants.

I lived in Wheeling for about 2 years and can honestly say this was one of the few places that was consistently good. It was not spectacular, but it was certainly above most of the surrounding restaurants. Ask for the honey butter glazed croissants and that alone would be 5 stars. If you take into account the really really long wait times on some nights, it knocks it down a bit. The decor is really nice, the place is clean, and they're good for a drink, if you can find a spot at the bar. I always liked their salmon and the hawaiian chicken wrap or salad. I know a lot of my local friends generally loved the buffalo chicken wrap. If you have some super refined palate, go to Oglebay and get ready to spend money. If you want a good lunch or dinner that is well made and will almost definitely leave you with an entire box to have for lunch the next day at a good price, go here.

I normally love Cheddars. I go with one of my friends to the one in Morgantown all the time. This one, however, well, at least the waitress we had was horrible. She acted like we were an inconvenience, on multiple occasions slammed glasses down on the table, never smiled and wouldn't respond when we even tried to be courteous and say thank you. Oh, and as a heads up if you ever go there, the girl looks nearly exactly like Celia from America's Next Top Model, so if you get her, ask for someone else.

I've been to this particular Cheddar's location 3 times. Each time I've received good service. The food is on par with something like Applebee's, but I think that Cheddar's is more reasonably priced. I've seen a lot of people waiting to be seated while I was leaving, so it seems like the wait would be shorter if you went at a non-regular meal time. Bottom line, the food and service are good and the prices are reasonable.
