Maloney's is classic West Virginia. Good food, good people, good prices, and West Virginia University Mountaineers! It's a great place to come catch any game that's on. They have all the sports packages so if you can get the game in WV, it will be on at Maloneys. Their food is great. The Maloneys Burger and their BBQ wings are my favorites. The staff is very friendly and attentive. This place can get quite busy on the weekends but the bartenders and waitresses are always attentive and friendly.

Maloney's is a great place to grab a beer and watch the game. As out-of-towners from St. Louis, we were searching for a place to watch the Thursday night Rams/Cardinals game. From a referral in-town, we ended up at Maloney's because they were the only place in town that had the NFL network. We were immediately welcomed by the bartender and the locals. They had a great selection of beers and the prices were reasonable. Lots of TVs around the bar itself and around the tables, so everyone had a great view. We had dinner before we went to Maloney's, so I can't rate the food, but from what we saw it looked great. My favorite part was that everyone was friendly and welcoming, as opposed to another bar that we tried earlier that evening. The bar even stayed open until the game was over, even though we were 2 of the last 3 people there. If we're ever in the area again, we will definitely stop by Maloney's!

Solid food and good service. I've eaten there twice and was pleased both times. Beer was cold and food was fresh. Not a lot of dining options in summersville so this is one of the best.

On our 2d visit, it seemed as if we were in a different restaurant. After seating ourselves, we waited at least 5 mins. For a server (bar keep). It was obvious that even though there were 2 other servers, they were too busy talking. Bar keep was unfamiliar with menu. After placing drink & food order, we waited at least 30 mins. for a cheese burger & a shrimp poboy. Same as ordered on our first visit. Since the place is small, one can hear all that is said by the kitchen staff. Became very obvious that only one of the kitchen crew knew what was going on. He kept barking orders. I.e., onion rings 8 minutes. Fries..... Quality & presentation was no where as good as they were on our first visit. We will give them one more shot, but not anytime soon. Price? You judge. Cheese burger, fries; shrimp poboy, onion rings; 2 ice tea. $27.

This is why Yelp is great....we find ourselves driving from Canada back home to Charlotte and end up in Summersville to break up the trip. Naturally, we check with Yelp to find a place for dinner and find Maloney's. It was the only place with more than 1-2 reviews, so we knew it was probably a hidden gem. (it was pretty hidden, too) The outside is not much to look at, except for a cool lamp and a wooden side. Once we got inside there were TVs everywhere and an outrageous amount of WVU paraphernalia. Despite the decor, the interior was really nice and clean, and there was a pretty cool back deck. A nice bonus of Maloney's was the Summersville prices. (We got lucky and came on $.65 wing night) We had a few rounds of beer, chicken wings, and nachos, but the bill was only $30. The food was very good, too. I recommend the garlic sriracha wings. We had a great experience at Maloney's the food was great and the servers/clientele were extremely friendly and accommodating. (and they even had all of their teeth!) Definitely check this place out if you find yourself in Summersville, WV.....for some reason.

Nice clean bar. Very friendly staff. Food was over priced for the quality/quantity. On vacation at Summerville lake. Will check this place out again on next visit.

In town for business, and sick and tired of the Applebee's fare, my crew and I were very lucky to find this place. The food was top notch and the atmosphere and staff were very inviting. The back patio which looked out over the golf course was sadly packed with people each time we visited so we couldn't experience that, but otherwise, this will be our dinner place of choice the next time we visit Summersville.

Positives: clean, friendly, with a reasonable beer selection with some local brews on tap. Server was attentive. Plenty of napkins. Inside was well apportioned and had a nice sports bar feel. Negatives: even for bar food, food was just ok. Mobbed with children (Applebee's would have been a better option for the kids). Burgers overcooked and not that great. Should be more flexible with wing flavors in terms of getting multiple flavors per order. Not much to look at from outside. TV volume was very high... And when commercials were on, it was fairly annoying.

Exactly the reason why we use Yelp to "go local" when we travel. The food was good (I had the shrimp po' boy and my husband had the wings - loved the sauce) and the service was super friendly. AND they put the Sabres/Penguins game on for us! Score! Check them out!

Came here after finding this on yelp and definitely enjoyed it. Great place to watch the game and the sriracha cheese fries were delicious if you love heat like I do. Also tried the big 12 burger which had a great BBQ flavor. Nice restrooms too! Friendly owners that made us feel welcome even as kansas fans.

Awesome place to watch a game, relax, and have a good meal. The best Buffalo Chicken dip. Ribeye was great. Always a good time. Lots of sports pics to look at

Good local beer selection, friendly service and atmosphere. BBQ burger was dry but had the right amount of sauce to counter act it. Small town bar feel and it showed. Loved it.

Came here based on these few yelp reviews on our way back from Florida. The atmosphere was like a sports bar and had this cool covered wooden back patio where we chose to sit. I could definitely see myself drinking some beers watching football there. The service could have been better since we were the only ones in the restaurant. It took about 30 minutes to get our entrees. We ordered the nachos, chicken sandwich, lumberjack sandwich, and the little one got Mac n cheese. The nachos tasted like they had some canned chili meat tossed onto some stale chips then thrown into the microwave. Eww I had the lumberjack, which is "shaved" ribeye with Cajun seasoning, mild sauce, peppers, onions, and pepper jack cheese. It was surprisingly delicious. My fiancé had the chicken sandwich and it came out grilled when it was supposed to be fried. The server discounted our food so that was cool. I would def try it out again if I ever find myself in Summersville, Wv again.

I didn't have the pleasure of visiting pre-fire, so I can only talk about my experience over the Thanksgiving break. We went to watch the WVU game with some fellow crazies. My wife, brother, and I were able to snag 3 seats at the bar - SCORE! - and we had a great view of their multiple HD TVs. It was loud, but not too loud. They had a local craft beer on tap from Fayetteville - SCORE! - and the usual suspects of course. No liquor, but it wasn't missed. We tried a couple of their fried appetizers. They weren't super greasy and both baskets were pretty much empty after a few minutes. It was too cold to enjoy this day, but the real gem of this place is the back deck. It's huge and also has a nice TV and bar setup. Would be an awesome place to hang out on a nice spring day.
