I honestly opened a yelp account just to give this "restaurant" a 1 star. I ordered a burger which honestly tasted like a cardboard patty with far to salty vegetables and a soggy bun. I am sure the burger was frozen. As a side they gave chips, which were stale, and a pickle, except there was no pickle! After I finished my food I walked to the bathroom cause I wasn't feeling well and I saw the cook rubbing her bare feet.....which didn't help how my stomach felt. However, on a bright side the server was fantastic! If you are a poor college kid or under 21 college kid, maybe you'll like it better.

no, the place isn't classy or unique. sometimes there is horrible hip hop music playing or whatever they let the college students play on the jukebox. but there are often great local bands and sometimes not-so-local bands, and these are the best nights to go. the place is often packed and full of energy. if you want to party hard, go here. if you want a more tame experience, go to the Meck. as a local, I always see at least 20 people I know at tony's on the weekend and the place gets wild. carrie makes the best tic-tacs and you can bet on seeing me and my friends share a few rounds of them. there's a great patio area outside when inside gets too crowded, sooo much space to spread out. there's a pool table if you're into that. basically it's a great place to get wasted and wil' out. and Mike C. really needs to stay out of west virginia. seriously, we're doing fine without your snobbery. he really thinks everyone here is inbred. does he know you can only legally marry your cousin in maryland, and not in west virginia? write a review on the establishment, not your opinion of the locals. that's just offensive.

I wish Yelp allowed for negative star-giving because this place would deserve it. One of the great ironies ( like West-by-God-Virgina needed more ) is that this bar/pizza place is right next to one of the best bars I have ever been to, while good ole Stonewalls is by far the worst. The pizza tastes like someone spit at you. The ID checking door-boys are consistent with years of inbreeding, only that someone has been feeding steroids to these animals and teaching them to read dates, albeit incorrectly...but wait you have not even gotten to the bar downstairs yet. The bar is a gorgeous red brick box with a red lit bar and a hole where someone has seen fit to AMPLIFY all the horrid dance music from a Walmart dollar bin of yesteryear. Why so much southern bounce I asked myself, are we in Hot-lanta? No but the chick my friend was dancing with did seem to have some issues undulating in time with the rest, which baffled me until I asked her friend who replied "she has a glass eye." Ahhh the Romance... The bar has an odd plasticy crystal meth smell, or maybe its the patrons, but it definitely reeked last time I was there. I would attend this bar more often if they had a trolley ride through like DisneyLand's Peter Pan to make me really enjoy coming back out of the tunnel to be dropped off in front of the Mecklenburg Inn.

Locals will tell you its the best pizza in town. I agree. They also have great subs and HUGE salads. Wings are great and a real value. They have a bar down stairs call Stonewalls pub that gets packed in the evenings. If you looking for Pizza subs, calzones or wings Tony's is a great choice in Shepherdstown

I love the wings, and their turkey+bacon+cheese subs, good cheap beer, but the place is just going downhill while prices keep going up. Pizza is meh. Service is hit or miss. Tony's used to be awesome. I hung out here more as a kid than now that I am of legal drinking age. Now, the place is falling apart and management seems completely indifferent. Fries are great when ordered crispy, the onion rings are good, but that pool table is shot which sucks because its the only thing to do in there besides drink or watch a college football game on mute. Still, the place can get packed on the right nights, and worth checking out if you are in Shepherdstown drinking or looking for some decent bar food.

We waited almost 1.5 hours for our pizza. I think the Bike Virginia folks over ran the place. The waiter avoided us, which may have had to do with my nasty looks. When our order finally came, they told us the reason was that they ran out of toppings. Had they told me that an hour earlier, I gladly would have changed the order to plain cheese. The pizza was good, though.

Great local place! Food was great as well as the service. I'd highly recommend the Antietam sandwich...I had it and it was absolutely delicious!!!

Terrible. It literally took an hour and a half to get our pizza (which wasn't even that good) the pizza was 80% crust and 20% toppings, plus it was burnt to a crisp. They only had one cook and one server working and the place was super busy. The place is poorly managed, understaffed, and the food takes forever and it tastes like crap. Avoid this place at all costs, I will never be back in here.

While the casual nature of this bar has it's attractiveness, the owners have gone a bit too far. The bar tender didn't know how to make a Manhattan! The cigarette smell permeates the whole place. We had pizza bread; the person who took our order had difficulty locating this on their rather limited menu, and it was really not that tasty. If you want a place to kick it without hassle and you don't mind smokey grunge and junk food, bad bartending but okay beer, this is the place for you.

Sweet staff and good deals on beer, but terrible pizza. Terrible. You're better served by continuing down German Street one more block and patronizing Tommy's Pizza!

God awful. I went in two Mondays ago. ~8pm. One other table in the restaurant. I ordered a cheesesteak. Took 15 min for the cook to tell the lone waitress that they were out of meat for cheesesteaks. So I ordered a meatball parm sandwich. Not too difficult right? 40 minutes later, my sandwich arrived. Each meatball was burnt - carefully placed in the roll & hidden by the cheese. What I COULD taste of the meatball I'd have to guess a frozen product. Inedible. The waitress was nice but the cook is not a cook.

Nothing like a California/DC bigot posting a review, that being Mike C. Hey Mike C., go craw back into the hole from which you came. That said, agree the Stonewalls Pub is not the best, though not as bad as the bigot says.

I love the way the recent reviewers can't spell. Tony's is what it is...the people that work there are cool and at least the students have a place to go for a small college town...and yes, the DJ is a beast...although he does have to cater to the tastes of the youngsters...
