This place is a hidden gem! Stopped on the drive back to Huntington from a camping trip on the Greenbrier River and we had high hopes when we saw the cute exterior and rustic interior. The food did not disappoint. My husband and I started with the fried green tomatoes. They were obviously hand battered and fried and they were so good. Our main dish was a pizza with pepperoni, sausage and banana peppers. Our dining companions ordered open faced roast beef, chicken tender basket and a Reuben. I questioned our judgement on the pizza, but it was so good. Crispy crust, fresh toppings and melty cheese. Yum. I tasted everybody's meals and they were all as good as our pizza. Highly recommended!

Mumsey's has good sandwiches & desserts. The staff is friendly and the outdoor deck is great. Their breakfasts are a particuarly good deal (The biscuits are large & tasty.) This is a must go anytime we are passing through the area.

I am a vegetarian(!) picky person who was taken here with a group and was prevented from ordering pizza... a bad situation ...HOWEVER, I did have a piece of the pineapple cake...I am also addicted to chocolate, but some little voice in my head told me to eat the pineapple cake. It was 4 or 5 fluffy layers with lots of pineapple and a vanilla (touch of sour cream? or buttermilk?) icing. It was extremely good. Some one at this restaurant is a good baker and the cornbread (which I had another day for breakfast) was also moist and tasty.

A real nice place to eat on the Cherry River. Not very big, but it has really good food. Best time to go is the summer & early fall so you can eat outside to enjoy the scenery.

I have yet to be impressed with their food. Some of its good, some of it I think depends on the cook. I'm giving it 4 stars for the chocolate cake though. Oh my is it wonderful! We'll drive from the Lewisburg area just to get it! It's a "death by chocolate" cake with moist layers and dark chocolate icing. An assortment of nuts grace the outside. It's not too sweet at all. But you better hurry, it sells pretty quick! I'd like to try the other desserts, but it's so hard to not have the chocolate cake!
