If you're a thrill seeker with a thirst for blood, look no further. This quaint murder shack is packed with adventures for you and your palate. It has everything: chairs, tables, trash cans, MTV's Dan Cortez, fish food, human waiters. And a homie atmosphere ;-] also very safe, as there is an attack cat on the premises! I left my infant* unattended for 2 hours while I played skeeball and It was "fine"!! *cell phone

Stopped for lunch nothing great. Had chicken fingers which were small and overcooked. Their signature potato soup was OK at best. Not a place I would return to. Got there at 12:15 no one else there another couple did come in while we were eating. You place your order from the menu, pay and they bring out you food. Person taking your order and taking money was pleasant she Also brings your food.

Horrible! My husband never got his sandwich. After the rest of the family finished eating, he went to the counter and asked about it. They said it was on its way. We waited another half an hour then went up to get a refund. The sandwich was sitting there ignored. They tried to give him the cold sandwich, but my husband asked for his money back. They wouldn't refund the money because the computer wasn't working. We probably should've stayed until this was resolved, but we just wanted out of there. Definitely won't be back.

Overall, we were really disappointed. We felt like the prices were high for the quality of food that we received. Their salad, which costs $2.99, was just some iceberg lettuce on a plate - no tomatoes, no carrots, no onion, just lettuce and some dressing. Even though there is an option for meatless spaghetti sauce, the person taking my order asked me three times, "So no meat?" And my meatless spaghetti wasn't delivered to my table until after everyone else had finished their meals. My husband ended up having to go back to the counter to ask about my order. The "home-made" sauce tasted a lot like a store bought variety. It's also a really loud place - You can hear the arcade games dinging and making noise no matter where you sit to eat. We were just really unimpressed. Take the extra time to drive into Davis and go somewhere else in town.

my husband and I went for dinner and was not happy to see it was not a restaurant but a kids arcade that sold food. the food was awful. we changed from plan of out for dinner to take out. the famou potatoe soup was cold and tasted like vinegar. the boiled meat sub tasted like bbq sauce but no meat taste and was heartburn city aftervthree bites. not hot just nasty. we will never suggest this place and will never return. worst meal for me in years. zero stars for sure. it u even think about this place dont.

Not great not horrible. You order at the counter and then they bring your food to your table. I think it would be a better set up if they just offered table service. It also isn't down home cooking. It's more pizza, wings, burgers, and a couple of Italian entrees.

We stopped at Big John's on our way out to Blackwater Falls. I'm glad I didn't check yelp prior to my stop because I would have been very mislead and missed out on a great place. The staff was EXTREMELY friendly and attentive. They went out of their way to make sure we were satisfied even though it isn't waiting service its counter service. The food was phenomenal. We had the fried catfish and chicken and dumplings. The prices are unbeatable and the quality is exactly what you'd expect if you know what true home cooking is. The green beans were just how they should be made in the South and the homemade Mac and cheese reminded me of my grandma's. It is somewhat loud inside with all of the arcade games, but thats evident as soon as you walk in the door. If you can't handle the noise then you should leave before ordering instead of bashing a great restaurant on yelp. It was a nice treat to play some ski ball after a great meal. Arcades are hard to come by these days. Overall, a great experience and a great place to go eat for under $10 a person EASILY.

Um... well... yeah. This place is not Big, and there are no "Fixin's" rather an eclectic menu of poorly executed crap. I've never seen a Steak "Philly" (how dare they call it that!) and a "roasted pork loin dinner" on the same menu... Service, well, you order at the cash register and then sit it a dusty, musty, dark forgotten dining room that is right next to an "Arcade" if you wanna call it that... The "Philly" was soggy from the grease, I'm guessing they heated it up in the microwave and put some cheese on it and threw it in the oven for a minute... I would have rather had a hot pocket. It would've tasted better. Man the Mountain Dew was great, ice cold, and free refills! Just keep driving past it and get to Davis (if you are traveling north) If you are hungry, go across the street to the convenience store... there is a Subway there.

Cramped chuck e cheese type dining, ordered a pizza and 2 orders of wings took around an hour to get our food and the wings were cold. This is NOT country food. You also have to order in line with people behind you and a huge menu not worth it just pay more and eat at timberline lodge.

Stopped here on a Friday evening in June. Service was rather slow. We were with a large group and took almost 45 minutes for all the food to make it out. The waitress would bring one item at a time. The group ordered pizzas, wings, and some had sandwiches. Pizza was sub par, poor taste and took doctoring with crushed red pepper and salt to make edible. Crust was not good. Reminded me of pizza you would get at a campground or community pool snack bar. Overall, I wanted to enjoy my dinner, but unfortunately would not recommend this place, even if hungry.

"Great food but terrible experience! One meal was brought right away the other three took an hour to arrive! They were not busy and we only had a party of four!! Food tasted good but not worth the wait!"

stopped here with a large group heading to nearby Timberline ski resort. It's a big place, you order at the counter then take a number to your table to have your food delivered. They have a mix of sandwiches, pasta dishes, salads, and pizzas. It's not gourmet, but the food was decent. Decor is nice, and the place is clean and well maintained, there's an arcade to keep the kids busy, and the owner/manager (not sure which) was incredibly nice to the kids allowing them to round their tickets from the arcade up to get a prize even if they were short a few tickets. Really a great place for groups heading to Timberline to grab a meal before checking in.

From the outside, the place looks nice. Theres a pond to the side of it where you could do some outside dining, weather permitting. Once you get inside, youll notice the loud noise from the arcade thats on your right. As you walk in, pick up the menu and to your left youll see where you can order ice cream and turn in your tickets for prizes from the arcade. Once you have decided on what you want, step up the the counter and place your order. The place is spacious, there is a second level for dining, but I believe its only for group events. For the most part, the place was clean. After we had sat down with our drinks, probably within 15 mins I got a headache. The arcades must have been on max volume. Our food took a good amount of time to get to us. I noticed some people running around with food on their hands, as if they worked there. They looked like the neighborhood bums. Our food came, and yes the bums brought it. I ordered a small pizza and this plate that came with a charbroiled chicken w/rice. Tasteless to say the least. Food was cold, as if it had been sitting where ever for about 10 mins. I was disappointed with what was served to me. I didnt even finish nor did I take the left overs home. I bet the dogs wouldnt even eat that garbage. On the way out, I decided to go to the restroom and urinate all over the floor, but to my surprise it was clean and smelled good. So I opted not to. I would have to say this place would be great for a birthday party. But if you are going out on a date, Id recommend eating at the gas station across the street.
