It's okay. You survived the previous night's epic party with your dignity intact. Your body successfully filtered enough white lightening and Natural Light to put you on the Guinness Book of World Records All Star List. But you need to refuel and recharge the batteries. Where in the world does one go to do that at a price point like no other? Biscuit World, my friends, Biscuit World. Look no further than this wonderful place. Skip McDonald's, Burger King, Wendy's, and all the other truck stops. Head. Straight. Here. Run red lights if you have to. The sheriff will understand completely. He may even give you an escort if you offer to buy him a biscuit. Service was fantastic. Food came quickly. Bacon, ham, eggs, hash browns, and a biscuit the size of a bagel floating in melted butter. All was gone in mere minutes, friends. It's THAT good. One suggestion: bloody marys and/or mimosas for the Sunday crowd. That would have made my review a five-star affair.

My first biscuit world ever! Ever since entering the great state of West Virginia I have been intrigued by these Biscuit World restaurants I have been seeing because I love biscuits! Finally the opportunity arose where I could stop and visit and all I can say is yum!! Okay, I can say a bit more. First let me say the staff was fantastic and patient (with my naïve indecisive self) and very passionate about their job. I finally decided on biscuits and gravy and yum it was good! I should've just gotten one biscuit instead of two though, because one would've been plenty! Just writing about it is making me hungry for more. I will be stopping at a Biscuit World again.

My favorite thing about traveling to or through West Virginia is knowing that there will be a Biscuit World close by! This is an official road trip stop when in W. Va. Just as the name states, this is a world of biscuits-everything biscuits. Tudor's main locations are in W.Va., (originated in Charleston) with a few in Virginia, Kentucky, and southern Ohio. Simple country/comfort food cooking in a fast food setting. You can dine in or go through the drive-thru. The menu offers a variety of down home items - country ham, sausage gravy, smothered chicken, beans..... You get it, good but not so much on the healthy side. Kind of has a fast food diner feel to it. This meal almost didn't happen, this was a Sunday afternoon, and apparently this is the place to eat. The place was loaded with senior citizens fresh out of church, well at least that's what they looked like to me. There literally was a line out the door, luckily the cashier was good at keeping it moving at a decent pace. I was determined to get my biscuit fix, so I was going to wait anyway. Finally, the main attraction, the biscuits! Truly delicious. Light and fluffy. They beat any other fast foods biscuits. The country ham was tasty too! Maybe a good percent of this rating is based on nostalgic memories of childhood trips to the "country" but a good portion is on the biscuits. I can't wait for my next trip! Beans and biscuits this time.

I stopped here mid-morning on a Friday on a road trip up to Pittsburgh. I wanted to compare Tudor's with Bojangles and Biscuitville. This place was hopping and there was a wait at the counter. One woman was taking orders and I think she was still new so that caused the service to slow down a bit. I was a bit surprised when both of the people in front of me ordered loaded hot dogs at 9:45am. . . I mean, I love a hot dog and I was tempted to try them but didn't think it would be the best "breakfast." I ordered a bacon, egg, & cheese biscuit, one biscuit w/ gravy and some potatoes. When my food was brought out everything was hot and looked tasty. The biscuit w/ gravy was HUGE and absolutely smothered with gravy. The biscuit had a nice crusty exterior which kept it from getting soggy under all the gravy. The gravy was good. I would appreciated more sausage bits and a touch more pepper. The bacon, egg, & cheese biscuit was good and big! The breakfast potatoes were really pretty forgettable. flavorless and bland. nothing special about these. I would return to a Tudor's next time I'm in WVa.

Great big biscuits and fluffy but I was hoping for homemade hash browns. All in all it was a typical good breakfast place with better biscuits.

Dirty, nasty, greasy, and freaking awesome. I'll admit it, I eat crap from time to time. This place ranks down low with the fast food world, and I'm talking bottom of the barrel. But it's the only place (outside of Biscuitville) that has embraced the biscuit as the the focus of a meal. For those of you not from West Virginia or the surrounding states(I myself hail from Ohio), this place is a mystery I am sure. Not only do they serve fast-food style sandwiches on a biscuit wrapped in paper out of a drive-thru window, they also offer full, southern-style, comfort food dinners. I'm talking fried chicken with mashed potatoes and gravy with green beans. Meatloaf. Brisket smothered in gravy. And it is all offered on ceramic plates with metal silverware. WHAT!? My family, who I dragged to this place, hated it. Some complained of stomach issues immediately afterward. Some had to run to the bathroom during their meal. But they are weaklings and made poor decisions. I only eat the biscuit sandwiches. Nothing else. And man are they good. The biscuits are flaky and buttery and have that awesome gritty sodium texture and they compliment meats like fried chicken oh-so-well. I gave this place 2-stars because it was actually the worst Biscuit World I've ever been to. That and my entire family now hates me for making them eat this. But if you occasionally eat Rally's and enjoy it (I'm not saying you choose Rally's first...) this place will not hurt your stomach any more than other fast food places. Just remember: only food between biscuits. Everything else is bad news.

I'm a huge fan of Tudor's in general. This is some GREAT breakfast. This particular location was great too, one of the quickest I've ever visited, despite also being the busiest. However, the parking lot is a bit of a challenge when the place is busy and the bathrooms make those on airplanes seem spacious. And compared to other locations they seemed to be a little stingier on the bacon for my Mary B.

Biscuits are good. Everything else is fair. Keep it simple. Get the biscuits and gravy.
