Great family atmosphere...food is above average and service is excellent. Make sure you order the Wiggins spaghetti

Unseasoned Italian food with no real taste. I understand that this was a recipe that was passed down, but it really could use some garlic and herbs.

Yeesh. There was a party of approximately 14 the evening we went...this apparently brings the restaurant to a complete stand still. 10 minutes to be greeted and seated. 10 minutes to get drink orders. 20 minutes for salads (which by default consists of just ice berg lettuce, shredded mozz, and tangerines?). 1 hour for entrees (two freaking sandwiches). Our waiter (slash manager/cook/busser) was literally sprinting throughout the dining room. Sandwiches were ok. Sausage sandwich was definitely not home made or spectacular. Sauce was fair to good. Fries were okay. After nearly an hour and a half of ridiculously slow but polite but inappropriate (not appetizing to see people running and kicking their way through the dining room), there was no compensation offered for the check (I would have declined but it should have been offered). Would not visit again.

This is my least favorite restaurant in Huntington. It appears to be clean and the service is fair. I do not like the Wiggins sauce and it comes on nearly everything they serve. I ordered a grilled chicken breast with broccoli on one visit. It was mediocre. The next visit I ordered stuffed peppers much to my disgust they were filled with Wiggins sauce...YUCK!!!! I will not be returning!

Decent restaurant with an interesting "decades" theme. The restaurant itself was very clean, but surprisingly empty for a Friday night. We got the 2 for 20 dollars... butterfly shrimp and chicken you way then the appetizer of ravioli ole. Waiter brought us one of the wrong meals. We had to wait ten minutes for the other meal to come out. Over all food wasn't bad... until we got dessert. The "cheesecake" I was served had the texture and flavor of stale cardboard and it was 5 dollars!

I guess it's OK. They have the old Wiggin's spaghetti sauce and steak-che-burger recipes, for what that matters. The menu is huge, and the food is pretty good. The do prepare some salad dressings in-house, which is always a plus. The fries are definitely the Wiggin's fries -- thin and completely unseasoned. The nostalgic decor is a little overwhelming, but people seem to like it.

Sometimes a long menu isn't necessarily a good thing. Some things the restaurant does very well. Others, not so much. If you're looking for a family restaurant with friendly service in a convenient location that's usually not overcrowded, it is worth a visit.

Italian Cuisine

The immense popularity of Italian cuisine globally isn't unknown. You can find an Italian Pizzeria around every corner of almost every city in the United States. Not to forget that in every house, people enjoy mac and cheese as comfort food. But it would be wrong to believe that Italian food starts with pizza and ends with good pasta as this Mediterranean country has much more to offer other than these two dishes. In Italian Cuisine, there is a high use of fresh tomatoes, all kinds of herbs, great quality of cheese, all types of meat, seafood and fresh handmade pasta. Many find it hard to believe that Italians have been making noodles long back.

Italian and Greek cuisines are always mistaken to be same, but they are poles apart. The primary difference between the two cuisines is the use of cheese in most of the Italian dishes. Italians love to cultivate their own cheese and process them as per their food requirement. It is believed that some cheese is so expensive that cheese producers secure them in lockers.

If you are bored eating the same old pasta or pizza, you can try some of the authentic Italian dishes like Risotto, Polenta, Ribollita, Lasagna, Fiorentina Steak, Bottarga, Ossobuco, Carbonara, Focaccia, Arancini and Supplì. Another item which Italians love to relish every morning is a good cup of Italian Coffee. Once you taste a freshly brewed cup of Italian Coffee, you might not visit Starbucks ever again. Authentic Italian food is made with heart and soul, so go find a restaurant where you can relish Italian cuisine in your city.
