The food was ok, but definitely not for the price! I don't mind paying a higher price for a meal, but I left here feeling ripped off and dissatisfied. Service was adequate at best. Many other places in the area to spend less money for a MUCH better meal

Overpriced for the value and quality I received. Three in our group ordered a $30+ steak, and were each served a fatty, inferior cut of meet soaked in a bizarre sauce... I've had $10 steaks that were much better. Their pasta and specialty drinks, though also expensive, were very good, however. I realize Anthony's is in a tourist town, so I expected to pay a bit more, but I'm very disappointed overall with my experience, doubt I'd go back.

Recently stopped on for a light dinner and had the best salad and appetizer. The scallop bruschetta is excellent. The tuna appetizer was very generous and done perfectly. A table close to us ordered a steak that had my mouth watering. I can't wait to go back!

Four of had dinner here this week. Not very busy, but waited for the server to come and take our drink order in a timely manner. Once that was done, we were good. Food was good; my spinach pasta with butter and garlic was enjoyable. Salad only okay. My bill was $21.50 for pasta and a glass of wine plus tip. Not cheap, but not horrible, either. Decent place for dinner in Woodruff.

Anthony's is a secret Liason, an Amore, justly described by a previous review. We came to see for ourselves. It's simple exterior hides a woodsy log interior where dining is intimate and exceptional. I asked that the Walleye be skinless, and I was handsomely accommodated. We have been Wisconsin natives for five decades, and we simply didn't imagine a custom fine dining experience the likes of Anthony's existed near Woodruff. The charming couple that began this restaurant, Katy and Tony, served us barside (Katy) and grill side (Tony). It's clear from listening (eavesdropping at the bar) that they have their hearts on this little bistro, and the patronage on a Sunday was surprising, a day when Chicago patrons would have been gone. The Walleye was the finest I've had, and I've had a lot. Don't bring the kids, bring your date. It's a little pricey, but your date will find your knowledge of the Minocqua area's fine dining to your credit. Try Amthony's.

Anthony's is a great find! Right in Woodruff, but off the beat path, it's an adorable and charming place w/great food! We had walleye and tenderloin... both awesome! The tenderloin in the red wine reduction was absolutely outstanding! Sangria was yummy, too! Absolutely give Anthony's a try!!

Food here was fantastic!! All dishes were prepared with lots of care. Had walleye piccata, outstanding. Alson had scallop bruschetta which was so fresh and great portion size. Can't wait to get back here, maybe next week!!

Italian Cuisine

The immense popularity of Italian cuisine globally isn't unknown. You can find an Italian Pizzeria around every corner of almost every city in the United States. Not to forget that in every house, people enjoy mac and cheese as comfort food. But it would be wrong to believe that Italian food starts with pizza and ends with good pasta as this Mediterranean country has much more to offer other than these two dishes. In Italian Cuisine, there is a high use of fresh tomatoes, all kinds of herbs, great quality of cheese, all types of meat, seafood and fresh handmade pasta. Many find it hard to believe that Italians have been making noodles long back.

Italian and Greek cuisines are always mistaken to be same, but they are poles apart. The primary difference between the two cuisines is the use of cheese in most of the Italian dishes. Italians love to cultivate their own cheese and process them as per their food requirement. It is believed that some cheese is so expensive that cheese producers secure them in lockers.

If you are bored eating the same old pasta or pizza, you can try some of the authentic Italian dishes like Risotto, Polenta, Ribollita, Lasagna, Fiorentina Steak, Bottarga, Ossobuco, Carbonara, Focaccia, Arancini and Supplì. Another item which Italians love to relish every morning is a good cup of Italian Coffee. Once you taste a freshly brewed cup of Italian Coffee, you might not visit Starbucks ever again. Authentic Italian food is made with heart and soul, so go find a restaurant where you can relish Italian cuisine in your city.
