The Alibi Bar located on 66th and Beloit in West Allis, WI is one of the most lively and up beat bars in the neighborhood. They have great service, clientele and awesome bartenders. They offer a happy hour you can't beat and nightly drink specials 7 days a week, 365 days a year. The shuttle bus runs to every brewer home game and pub crawls. They have yearly holiday parties to show their clientele appreciation. Without their locals and neighborhood regulars they wouldn't be the business they are today. Check The Alibi out!

Great classy corner bar (only because it's actually on a corner - but in no other way a typical corner bar). The entire bar is completely remodeled and fresh. Very welcoming and comfortable atmosphere. The prices on the food is more than reasonable - down right affordable. Highly recommend this place!
Great place to enjoy a nice relaxing drink. restrooms were very clean. The food was great and juicy. The game room was very nice and well lighted. Cant wait for warmer weather so i can enjoy the outside patio. The owners have done a great job to make you feel welcomed the workers are very friendly. I brought my children with me and it was very enjoyable for them they had a great time and loved the food. The portions of food are great and so are the prices. We will for sure to be coming here for our weekly out to eat. This is a very enjoyable atmosphere and you feel totally relaxed I truly enjoyed it. This is a great place for a nice cold one and great food. Thank you Dale you did a great job and am wishing you all the best.
Do you like wings? Do you REALLY like wings? If you said 'Hellyeah I like wings!!' then look no further than Papa's Pub on 60th St in West Allis. I love wings. I REALLY like wings, and Papa's are the best I have had in a long, long time. Large meaty wings done in an amazing Buffalo sauce or BBQ. Orders are by the dozen. Believe me when I tell you, a dozen will fill you up. Full bar, good tap selection of Sprecher beers with Spotted Cow, Leinies and Blue moon. Full bar and the most comfortable bar stools in the entire Milwaukee metro area. Large outdoor patio that I cannot wait for better weather to take advantage of. The owners are extremely freindly and treat you like family. Nicely decorated inside and out. Pool table, darts and internet Jukebox. If you haven't surmised by now, I really like this place. I have yet to try the burgers, but I am confident that i will be soon. Another review will be coming after the weather allows us to take advantage of the inviting patio. So until then, get up off your butts and get out to Papa's Pub!!!

Wisconsin State Fair

640 S 84th St
West Allis, 53214
Reviews:
Love the Fair, always. This year's best find...Reuben on a Stick....Jake's deli, in the Wisconsin Pavillion. Now that was worth the calories! Great corned beef and melted cheese on little rye rolls. Yes, there's a stick through the two little sandwiches, which you remove before you tackle the messy little sandwiches. No sauerkraut on them, which would have earned them five stars, but they were pretty darn good!
Because who doesn't appreciate the art of taking an already unhealthy food choice and elevating it to heart-attack status by coating it in batter and throwing it in the deep fryer?! It would be nearly impossible to walk more than a few feet without spotting one of the fair's neon-colored signs advertising "Deep Fried [fill in the blank]." Deep fried Oreos. Deep fried Snickers bars. Deep Fried Milky Way bars. Oh, and in case you thought that this deep frying business was limited to just bad-for-you foods - there's also a whole 'Veggie Stand' dedicated to serving up deep fried vegetables by the flimsy paper trayful. To be fair, there are some healthy options - you just have to be willing to dig a bit deeper. I did stumble upon a booth serving up freshly prepared salads (mixed greens, juicy heirloom tomatoes & refreshing cucumber topped with buffalo mozzarella and a light vinaigrette) that almost made me forget about the two deep-fried Oreos I devoured just hours before. Mind you, it was right across from the Usinger's booth (which smelled DIVINE), so I had to fight the urge to order a jumbo hot dog as a side dish. Amidst the fried foods, you'll also find an fabulously large selection of foods on a stick. There are your usual suspects - such as corn dogs (foot long!) and ice cream paddles. But the fair vendors really get creative with the awe-inspiring cheesecake on a stick, mac 'n cheese on a stick, even spaghetti and meatballs ON A STICK! Even foods that are convenient enough to eat in their regular form (such as pizza and sandwiches) are featured on a stick! Ahhh and the piece de resistance (for me, anyhow) - the kettle corn stand. I. L-O-V-E. Kettle Corn. And none is better than the freshly-made kind that you can only seem to purchase at fairs. My hubby watched in horror as I quickly made the leap from "Maybe I'll just get the little $2 bag" to "Well, the bigger bag is not really that big..." to "Oh look! Today's special - three large bags for $10!" And all that popcorn made for the perfect spectator food for our entertainment du jour - PIG RACING! Immediately followed by DOGGIE DIVING! After already petting an adorable calf, getting up close and personal with a huge turtle, and ogling the cutest baby chicks - I was in animal paradise (cuteness overload sure to ensue). Though we didn't exactly partake in any of the concerts (doing so would have required we cough up some extra dough - and most of my cash was earmarked for food!), the music was audible from outside the stage areas - so we did get to enjoy a little bit of country as we made our way around the fair. Friendly warning -- make sure to come prepared with a wad of cash, as most vendors do not except anything but. Parking is anywhere from $5-15 depending on how much you are willing to walk, admission on a regular day is $9 per adult, and each food item pretty much starts at around $5 (save for the DELICIOUS flavored milk booth - offering yummy glasses of flavored milk for just a quarter! Get the root beer flavor - it's like a better-for-you root beer float!). Keep your wallet happy and look out for two-for days (two adults for the price of one), take advantage of the 'Crazy Grazin' day where participating vendors offer menu items at reduced prices, and if you're going to be hanging out all day - splurge on the souvenir cup which lets you refill at participating booths around the fair for a reduced $2 price. High-five to those involved in the organization of the fair, as I was extremely impressed! Though there was no shortage of people in attendance, the walkways were wide enough to prevent that gross shoulder-to-shoulder action that always creeps me out at other outdoor events. Also, major bonus - running water and SOAP stations spread throughout the fair. Only my hubby (who has previously experienced the annoyance of paying $3 for a bottled water, only to pour it over my hands as I lathered up with my brought-from-home soap) can truly understand how much this means to me - though I suspect there are other clean-freaks out there who can appreciate. Bottom Line: Go for the above-average fair fare, and stay for the entertainment (be it of the animal or musical variety). No need to bring your own soap - they've got you covered.
I have been going to the WI state fair my whole life. Even though I live in Chicago now I still go once a year. Why do I give this 5 stars? Let me count the ways: 1. 25 cent flavored milk- I LOVE the cherry vanilla and rootbeer milk 2. Sundaes in the Agriculture building- strawberry and maple are best ( I know maple sounds good, but its amazing) 3. $2 grilled cheese- sooo good 4. The Nursing trailers- what a great idea. I was taking my 4 1/2 week old baby along and this made my day a lot easier. 5. Goats- I have always loved goats and seeing these little cuties always makes my day. 6. $2 admission with canned food donation on the first day- a great deal for everyone (cheap admission for me and food for those less fortunate)

I've left the area and I miss the ceviche and sangria. Especially that giant corn. Why is giant corn, onions, and fish swimming in lime juice so good? And that green sauce. I put it on everything. What is this place even doing in the middle of residential West Allis? I hope they continue to do well; I loved having this place in my old neighborhood.
Awesome food and excellent service. Lots of terrific menu choices all prepared fresh to-order. Food is presented as a work of art, which it truly is! Did you know that Chef Paz has an AYCE buffet one a month? Yep, it's true. Try all sorts of new dishes for just $12.99. Next date is April 21st; call for reservations.
Walking in, there is bit of confusion as no signs direct you to seat yourself, which is what you ultimately do. The staff was better than average. Service was fast. And the atmosphere, well it IS West Allis. THE FOOD: green tamal and beef empanada with a house made cilantro, jalapeño, lime, and mayo sauce (which is awesome) for an appetizer. Highly recommended. Entrées were Tacu Tacu and Beef stew with a cilantro sauce. The Tacu Tacu had a pile of tasteless bean and rice mixture reminiscent of baby food. The meat was decent. The beef stew (chunks of beef with beans and rice on the side) was super salty, but the beef was okay. Overall, I'd return to try again, and I hope my appetizer isn't the highlight of my meal like tonight.

Reviews:
Being from Michigan and new to West Allis, I was beyond thrilled to learn that there was a Jets Pizza in Wisconsin! And we just so happened to move into their delivery zone! We have ordered from this location a handful of times and have always been pleased with their service! But last night took the cake, the prize money and earned mad respect in my eyes! Having worked all week, we were not prepared for the snow storm ONE BIT! We tossed the idea of ordering out but didn't want to trouble anyone else with the snow either. But we were hungry!!! So I called in Jets knowing we were going to be waiting longer than normal for our order! They gave us an expected time of 90 mins! No problem! As the time neared the hour market we got a call from our delivery driver saying he was sorry he was running late and he had to get pushed out and would be right there! Remind you we are a mile away from Jets! 15 mins later the phone rings again. This time he is around the block stuck at another business. "I am walking to your house now, again I am sorry your order is late!" The driver told me! YOUR WALKING?!! Was all I heard! So we threw on our boots and coat and met the poor guy at the neighbors! Talk about service! We gave him what we thought to be a generous tip for his adventure to our house with our dinner! After all he WAS right on time and our food was still warm!! Ready to eat! We ordered a large deep dish pepperoni which was amazing! Not greasy at all. Thick cheese. Not too saucy. Decent amount of peps too! With our order also came cinnamon stix (THE BOMB!) Jets Bread; deep dish style with a mass amount of cheese baked to perfection. The antipasto salad, that was loaded with goodies. And a 2 liter of Pepsi. ((All of which the awesome guy who literally delivered our order on foot!)) We will always order from Jets!!!!
This is how I remember pizza as a kid! Deep dish and delicious! Get the turbo crust - it's free and AMAZING! If you're looking to pick up pizza, consider Jet's. I'm kinda snobby about my pizza and like Neapolitan style with goat cheese and all that ish. But this... THIS is good old fashioned greasy pizza AND I LOVE IT! Overall: nothing fancy. But it's replaced my former favorite, Toppers, in my non-uppity pizza category. Certainly beats The Hut, Dominos, and all the local "Papa" whatever pizza's. Just and FYI - This location does pick up only.
I'm reviewing the West Allis location. This place is wonderful! Typically not a huge fan of pizza places in Milwaukee; not bad, just not great, in a town with generally wonderful food. This place is great. Tried three types: hand tossed, 'bold n fold NY', and deep. Each was truly excellent. Good sauce, chewy but light crust (thickness differed on each), good amount and quality of toppings. (Milwaukee pizza is typically either cracker thin or deep and soft. This is traditional NY chewy crust... so hard to find here! The deep was also light and airy, not dense or heavy.) Agree with others that the free crust flavorings are also a nice addition. Several more plusses: the staff was wonderful, including a very pleasant delivery gal and a manager who called to check my order and offered a bonus for being a new customer! And... they deliver to me and I'm not very close to them (most places don't deliver to my neighborhood regardless... for whatever reason). Order to delivery was fast too. And... reasonably priced! What else can I ask? Will return!

I have been missing out, this place is an absolute gem!!!! I love it and would go back over and over again. I had a deli breakfast sandwich (special of the day) which had a gourmet twist and I also purchased a delicious Bloody Mary. Very casual and has a great local vibe.
Came here today for the first time with my daughter for lunch. I was excited to try their deli because I've heard good things. I told the young woman at the counter that it was my first time there and that I'd need some time making my selections but she didn't seem to care to acknowledge that or give me any suggestions, etc. After skimming the menu, I ordered the bratwurst on a pretzel bun and the liverwurst sandwich. I was really unimpressed with the brat. It was bland and tasted like it had been boiled in water for hours. The liverwurst had a generous amount of liver inside and I enjoyed the bread that it came on, however it was really dry. A few slices of cucumber and a very light spread of mayo would've done it some justice! The house made potato chips were good, a bit greasy for my liking. I was expecting to be blown away given all of the positive reviews but I left a bit disappointed. My rule is that I try a place at least three times before I completely cross it off of my "restaurants to frequent" list. On a brighter note, the gentleman in there seemed to be very accommodating. I don't know if he was the owner or not. I realllllly wanted to love this place. West Allis cheese and sausage shoppe, I'm not giving up on you yet! :-)
Rad cheese and meat selection. Really unique for the area. Stallis needs more specialty places like this!

Excellent. We choose many small plates - ceviche, guacamole, empanadas & plantains. All delicious. Best tapas we've had in awhile! Also, make sure to get a strong! sangria. Yum!
I have eaten here 10+ times and the food and service have always been excellent. The atmosphere is bright, cheery and clean. The food is Latin influenced and delivers an upscale experience in flavor. The shrimp dishes are fantastic and I have been satisfied with everything I have ordered.
Great food and awesome service! Finally! I mean, really great service! Lately, service has been sorely lacking at most other establishments, but Liz was great. Decor looks fresh and everything looked clean and new. Good portion sizes too, even for dessert! My husband and I highly recommend it!

Had the chicken tenders with fries. Everyone in my group liked their food. The only negative was after we got our drinks, we felt it was too long before they came back to take our order. Was wise it was a great time.
It is an applebees, but they keep it clean and the service has been good.
Ok, Applebee's. Yep. Applebee's. They are a giant chain. Yep. They aren't local. True. But..........I love this place! The Long Island Iced Tea's are delicious and the beer tap selection frequently changes and is usually quite good. Food menu changes often and have yet to eat a bad meal. The '2 for $20 or $25' meals are a great deal. With the meal deal you get 1 appetizer and 2 full entree's. Decent menu to pick from and of course there is the full menu to chose from if you wish. What makes me really like this place it the bar staff. They ALL have been very friendly and make you feel at home. Very attentive and always willing to chat and laugh with you. In fact, haven't run across an unfriendly staff member there yet. I cannot speak of the other locations around the area as we always go to the Hwy 100 location, but I am sure that you will find them all to be up to par. I say, go and find out for yourself and enjoy a Long Island Iced Tea and let the good times roll!

Fazoli’s

10833 W Greenfield Ave

Reviews:
Fast food Italian is a niche market that Fazoli's has cornered pretty well. Meals are typically ready a few minutes after ordering, with a variety of pizza, pasta, sandwiches, and salads available. Free breadsticks are available, very good though probably really bad for you. Fazoli's used to have an employee wander around periodically handing those out, now you have to go to the counter to get them. The food isn't fantastic, but it is really pretty good, especially considering that it is "fast food" Italian.
For the price I think this place is pretty good. Went in last Friday with my husband and got the cheese ravioli with meat sauce. It was was tasty. I also really enjoyed the breadsticks. The employees were friendly and the place was clean. For the amount of money we spent I was very happy.
When it comes to dining out, Fazoli's is the place to go for a great Italian food on a budget. When you are looking for something simple like a slice of pizza, or a bowl of spaghetti, you'll find that's Fazoli's provides just the right amount of food for the right price. Plus with the free breadsticks. It's hard to go wrong. They now serve the bread sticks to you at your table side, like they used to. On my most recent visit to Fazoli's, I was specially pleased. The staff was very courteous, nice and very helpful. From order taking to sitting down enjoying our meal, it was all around a good experience. Now with the table side service of more breadsticks, everything was as you expect from Fazoli's like years ago.
