I have been here three times so far. It is packed during lunch hour so prepare to make your order to go if need be but its worth it.

Stopped in tonight for dinner after my fiance kept bringing it up since before they opened, Upon walking in it felt a lot like your local Panera bread.... Take that how you will. It's not a bad thing but it seemed familiar which isn't bad, Then 2 steps later i didn't understand where i was supposed to go also alot like Panera. then i realized the to order line is on the left side (Free tip). I looked at the paper menu and got confused, much like Panera yet again. I saw they offer a "combo" of a half sandwich and half pasta. So i decided to have the Mac & Cheese, the sandwich i wasn't sure at first i was set on some sort of turkey, by the time i got to order i froze and looked at the menu and said the first thing that looked good, "Spicy Asian Pulled PorK" Sounds good lets do that and Mac n Cheese. My Fiance got some Panini with turkey and Tomatoes, Those two and 2 drinks were $22 Whjich was a bit of a surprise... since they didn't list the prices anywhere. We went and sat down, Few minutes later food showed up. It was a bit undersized to be completely truthful. The Mac n Cheese was decent, but not the best i've had, actually i think i might skip the mac n cheese on my next visit. The Spicy Asian pulled pork was actually pretty good, Especially since i don't typically like jalapeno's, or coleslaw, or cucumbers, but somehow it all worked together very well. It reminded me alot like "Aporkalypse" at the Picnic Basket (which is much better btw) but it was not to bad. Overall, if i'm going to a place to spend $20-$25 on two people this won't be near the top of my list. Though if you like to spend a little more on a sandwich/soup/pasta, Or you like to be seen at the new hip place, or a place that makes you feel important i'm sure you'll like this place.

I drop my daughter off at school and head to Corner Bakery. I was beyond excited when I learned they were opening one here since I had to travel to Chicago to get my fix. The breakfast panini is fantastic and if you're in the mood for something heavier, I recommend the pancakes. I was one of the first people to visit on opening day and was lucky enough to win free coffee for a year. Great staff but you can tell they are new so sometimes they are a little slow.

Service was surprisingly quick for how busy they were. Some items are a little pricy, but you are getting very tasty and high quality food. In my person opinion, I would compare this to Panera, but better. It is probably worth a look at the menu online before you go in because there is a lot to choose from when there is a line of hungry people behind you. Update 1/10/2015 We went back for a second time and they were much busier. I deducted a star because during peak business, I realized how horribly this restaurant was designed. A woman with a stroller had to fight her way out because seating is so tight, they only have one of the double doors to enter unlocked, and the line and area for ordering is a total cluster. The food still tasted pretty good, but the presentation was pretty poor. My sandwich was a mess with half of the ingredients falling off and my cup of soup wasn't even full.

We def are fans in our house. My girls love the baby bunds cakes they sell and I love their salads and pasta. I like the menu and service here much better then paneras. I hope more of these open up in the milwaukee area.

Wonderful, tastes like homemade bakery!! Excellent food and awesome service!! So glad to have this new option in a convenient location!

Very good panini and chicken sandwich. Macaroni and cheese was not as good as I hoped, the cheese doesn't stick to the macaroni so you have a puddle at the bottom of the bowl, but that's ok because the sandwiches and panini was really good!

Great food with quality ingredients. You can taste the freshness. The staff is great and the atmosphere is perfect. I now go every week for lunch.

This is not going to be positive. It was SLOW(Monday and a holiday at that!) Purchased eggs & potatoes to go and a beverage. Just about finished the beverage while waiting for my food. The gal they had delivering the food, was slow and clueless... She wandered around with the to go order before she even asked a co worker, who THEN called out the name...oh gosh look, it was one of 2 people waiting by the coffee... could they be waiting for food? I told her next time, she may want to ask one of the people waiting if they were who she was looking for. So I get home with my food to find out, I don't have the potatoes for my order. So it was a complete annoyance and waste of money. I likely won't be back. If I want slow service and employees without a clue, I can go to Mickey D's on Burleigh. Geesh

Although the large selection of high quality bakery items are reason enough to go to this store, we have had two great breakfasts here. My favorite is their stack of 4 apple-cranberry pancakes. The menu items that you purchase are delivered to your table by an eager to please staff person. And the moderatly priced portions are in generous amounts; presented in an eye-pleasing way. I am very anxious to check them out for lunch in the near future. The dining area is spacious, not crowded, very clean, and surrounded by large windows.

Excellent food, staff, and value. Variety of menu items to try on future visits. Spinach Sweet Crisp salad is perfect in every way -- huge portion of dark green and tender spinach, an abundance of fresh fruit, feta cheese, green onions, and chunks of raisin/pecan sweet crisp and just the right amount of pomegranate vinaigrette -- NOT drowning in it. The deeply flavorful and authentically seasoned Tortilla Soup with chicken and beans was soooo much better than what I've had in local, Mexican restaurants. Very impressive! My daughter had a Grilled Chicken Pomodori Panini on toasted sourdough with basil, spinach, roasted tomatoes, pesto mayo, and melted Provolone. She said it was delicious, but couldn't spare any, so I have to take her word on that. This place was humming along... totally packed at 12:45 p.m. on opening day with no waiting, a pleasant and helpful crew, a totally spotless environment, and really good food for a modestly priced, chain restaurant. Unlike in downtown Milwaukee and Tosa Village, there's plenty of free and easy parking. We will return often.

Stopped in last night after shopping. Like many others have said it's a nicer version of Panera. Now while my food tasted good ( I ordered the Spicy Asian Pork) there was zero spice to it, which was unfortunate. Also, the slaw that comes on it was a ridiculous amount... half my plate was covered in it after I finished the sandwich...

Think of this chain as a little bit better version of Panera. The food is reasonably priced and consistent. They offer half sandwich and soup or salad specials which is a good way to try different menu items. The service was pretty quick considering how busy this place can get. My only knock was that they didn't drop off napkins with the food...just a small nit. For a buck or two more than fast food you can get a much better meal. If you are at the mall it isn't a bad place to stop for some shopping fuel.

The fire roasted tomato basil soup was so rich and delicious! Had it with the Uptown Turkey half sandwich, and the fresh bread made the sandwich! Kettle cooked chips were included. Hibiscus Lemonade was a perfect summer drink. Tip: there are 4 cash registers and no way to figure out if there are 4 lines or one. It would be nice to see directional signs.

I would give these guys four stars. It was really good! Good prices, very good food for a lunch. It has a Panera-esque feel to it. Their Asian Pork sandwich is delicious and a favorite! All in all, corner bakery is a great, affordable addition to the Mayfair collection.

Finally a nice cafe in the area. Great place to grab a bite while shopping The place gets pretty crowded and the staff seem to rush you through orders and serving

I was in line which I was the next person to get served but since I was in a wheelchair I was over looked. I business person came in after me and he got served. I asked is this custom for this business "last come first served?" I just wanted coffee but please don't discriminate ADA people. The lady felt bad and offered to pay for my coffee. I told her "no" I am getting used to people over looking me. I have a greater appreciation for Disability which I have been for a decade but since 2013 I have been using a wheelchair. FYI please treat everyone the same.

Complimentary reviews of chain establishments is not my forte, but I gotta step out of the box for this one. It's not that I have outright disdain for chains, it's just that, at most chains, you know what you're going to get: mediocre food, fair value, and service that's, well, serviceable. But every once in a while, a corporate restaurant arrives that's worth writing about. Today, that restaurant is the new-to-Wisconsin Corner Bakery Cafe. As I write this, the first CBC in the cheese state has only been open five days. If you've ever spent time in other major American metropolises, you'll immediately recognize the ubiquitous Corner Bakery Cafe. Seems like there's a thousand of them in Chicago's loop; Atlanta's not far behind. Corner Bakery Cafe mainly serves up breakfast and lunch fare. Paninis, pancakes, sandwiches, muffins, and salads are the main feed here--all of which are better than average. In fact, to me, what really makes CBC writing about is their bakery. Having filled me cheeks for much of the last decade with locally produced bakery from Alterra/Colectivo, I have to admit: Corner Bakery Cafe KILLS Colectivo in this department. Their bakery is fantastically fresh, often warm and right out of the oven. And it's infinitely better than Starbucks' offerings. For your coffee fix, however, you're still better off heading to one of Milwaukee's fine, local roasters. Corner Bakery Cafe's "hand roasted" (Roasted by hand? How is that possible? That's got to leave a mark!) leaves a lot to be desired. It's a little too weak for my caffeine-encrusted palate. I'm glad Corner Bakery Cafe finally made it to America's Dairyland. As chains go, this one appears quite promising. Just work on that coffee, guys. I gotta stay awake!!

After a busy afternoon of shopping at the Mayfair Collection shops, my friend and I decided to stop in here for lunch. This cafe is a very good addition to the shopping center. It is clean, the staff is great, and so is the food. They serve pasta, sandwiches, salads, soup and chili. They also serve breakfast all day, every day. For beverages, they serve soda, smoothies, lemonade, frappes, and coffee. For my meal, I had the Uptown Turkey sandwich. It is smoked turkey breast served with lettuce, tomato, avocado and smoked applewood bacon on toasted harvest wheat bread. It was a fabulous sandwich. I had the truffle mocha coffee as my beverage. If you are a coffee person, I highly recommend trying it. My friend had their chili. She said that it had a little kick to it, but was really good. I hope that this place is around for a long time to come. There are definitely return trips here in my future.

Corner Bakery is like a nicer, cleaner (much, much cleaner than the filthy Mayfair location) Panera. The concept is similar - order at the counter and they'll bring your food when it's ready. The menu is similar too - soups, salads, sandwiches and a few pastas thrown in for good measure. Like Panera, they clearly post calorie counts which I appreciate. The food is solid - I had a turkey sandwich that included fresh avocados and crisp bacon. I loved the toasted whole grain bread but felt the turkey was pretty poor quality (think Pick'N'Save deli counter). Sandwiches come with chips but you sub baby carrots to be healthier if you want. Corner Bakery staff seems to be friendly and enthusiastic - and they've done some good training. Food was coming out quickly, despite the restaurant being totally full and only open a few weeks. CB is a great spot for a quick and cheap bite after you discovered the cashmere sweater sale at Nordstrom Rack and spent all your money (true story).

Kind of reminded me of panera. I had a salad which was decently sized but I really should have gotten a pastry, because they really catch your eye as soon as you walk in the door.

I've visited several of these in the Chicago Loop, and when one opened in Tosa I thought I must try it. It was 9 AM on a Sunday morning so it wasn't packed. POSITIVES: Plenty of parking. Smallish, warm, and somewhat cozy. Friendly staff. Prices not too bad. Food delivery was very fast. NEGATIVES: Food items not very healthy. I was served the wrong entree. I requested the Anaheim Panini ($4.89) and a small coffee ($1.89). This panini includes avocado but no bacon. Mine came with no avocado, but had small bits of bacon in it. I didn't think the taste would be any different so I didn't call a staff person. The taste of the panini was dominated by the oil the bread was dipped in and eggs were cooked in. But the coffee was excellent for this type of cafe (it's not Peet's or Starbucks).

Yummy salads! A little over priced (reminds me of Panera) and not enough for your buck. Food is delicous though!

Good food and nice staff. Only downside is you do not get your money's worth. The portions are very little and more pricier than Panera by $3+ and you get more at Panera.

Stopped in last saturday around noon, first time visiting this chain. I was looking for something lower carb, so i went with the Anaheim Scrambler. At this point in the day, they could serve my breakfast item, but longer had the potatoes that come on the side in the morning. No problem with that! Fruit was substituted and the eggs were so filling i wasn't tempted to try the toast. It was odd, though, the the toast came dry with no butter/jelly on the side. Tomatoes, cheese, lots of bacon, green onion, and avocado were scrambled in with the eggs. The service was very friendly despite how busy they were. The place was packed and the floor plan is laid out weirdly and kind of cramped. As other reviewers have said, think slightly nicer panera. I avoid chain restaurants, but it was good enough that I'd consider stopping in again the next time I'm starving and don't have time to drive to a locally owned business.
