Parking in back of restaurant. Ordered Terry's steak sandwich, husband ordered Walleye, clam chowder and scallops appetizer. Very clean. Western decor. Bathrooms clean & cute "water pump" faucets. Scallops had a peppery kick, very good - lasted about 60 seconds! Walleye was delicious, thick flaky fish with light breading. Terry's sandwich had nice slices of juicy mushrooms and savory onions. Steak was cooked just right, medium rare. The baked beans and cole slaw with Walleye were ok. Splurged on blackberry pie. Don't even ask me how good that was! Very good meal glad we found this place. One bad thing, my feet barely touched the rung on the tall barstool seats!

Finding a good place to eat up north is a tricky business sometimes, expecially since service can vary so much from one to another. When we gave up on Gateway in Crivitz last year, we looked for alternate places to try. Going a little farther past Crivitz to Wausaukee, we found Newingham's. My wife's uncle (uncle-in-law??) recommended this place as one of his favorite dining establishments in the north woods of Wisconsin and the UP. The front of the building is rather plain and unimpressive. Once inside, you see how huge it is, with two separate areas. The main entrance leads you into the bar area, with multiple pool tables and some side seating of tall tables with bar stools. The restaurant is farther back. It's a spacious room with a fireplace and plenty of American West decor, featuring horses, saddles, and riding gear displayed. There's a definite cowboy theme throughout the restaurant. With this being Friday, the fish fry is always our first choice up north. And Newingham's didn't disappoint. I ordered the walleye. My wife got the seafood platter, which consisted of cod, perch, walleye and breaded shrimp. My walleye was delicious. Likewise, my wife loved her selection too. And the service is fast. Newingham's breading is very thin but flavorful. I honestly hate going to places where the fish fry seems to be more breading than fish. This is not the case with Newingham's. Their breading is pretty unique but excellent. We also got some fries and some red potatoes to share. My kids had chicken strips, which were good too. We took a picture by the cowboy wood carving in the front of the restaurant ont he way out. I know we'll be coming back here in August when we do our 2nd trip to the UP.

My family has been coming here for a long time. Previously known as Rollo's, it's been a good stop for Wausaukee visitors for decades. I hope to stop again in August when we're back in the vicinity. Food is normally good and they carry a micro or two from Black Husky Brewery (i.e. micro brew) out of Pembine, WI. Good support of the local micro brews! Keep it up!

The best dining Wausaukee has to offer. But, its Wausaukee Nice bar area, but rather bland dining room with strangely large 4 person tables. Food was just OK.

Had lunch here with a friend and we were so happy with such an awesome place! The food was fantastic, service excellent and now this is our favorite place.. We live in Abrams and will drive all this way to Wausaukee to dine here... Such a special place. Keep up the great work in such a great atmosphere and wonderful food! Thank You so much!

This is a tough one; nice atmosphere, server was very good, the Cajun scallops as an appetizer was very good, chicken on my Caesar salad was just inedible. They did try to make it right (good customer service) but it was just bad chicken. Would I eat here again? Yes probably but only because appetizer and service were both so good.

3 cheers for Newinghams! If you're driving up north on 141, be sure to cruise thru Crivitz when you're hungry. Another half hour and you find what's not available there: good food, cleanliness, nice atmosphere, friendly staff and a couple good microbrews. We had chili, baked potato soup, Reubenwiches, all tasty. Nice spicy bloody too! A happy find in an area with not too many dining choices.

We love this place. It's a classic supper club but cleaner and fresher than many we've tried. The owner raises his own beef and pork in nearby Dunbar so be sure to order steak or pork chops. A dinner includes bread and crackers and cheese, salad or soup and potatoes and servings are generous. The baked potato soup is hearty and delicious and a great quick lunch on a chilly day. Prices are great too.

This is a can't miss place. I've never had a bad meal here, nor a bad experience. The food is amazing. I've had different cuts of steak and they've all been cooked perfect. I'm not a fish person, but I can say that everything I've eaten here has been great - even the pasta dishes. The food is reasonably priced, especially for the portions. I always leave with a full stomach. I also like that it has two different atmospheres. You can choose to eat in the bar area if you want to check out sports on the tv, or listen to live bands, or just have a few cocktails with other people. If you want more of a formal dinner atmosphere you can choose to sit in the back room where it is much more formal and private. Can't go wrong with this place. It truly is as good as it gets in that area.

This is a pretty amazing find, for the area. Coming North from Greenbay, if you don't eat in Greenbay, then there is hardly anything in Crivitz, so eating on the way home is difficult. Newingham's is worth stopping at, when in Wausaukee. I agree with the last review, in that the building does not look like much of anything, unitl you go inside. The steaks are really good here, as well as the chocolate cake.
