While listed as a hotel, I ate at the bar/restaurant. They do have an RV campground on the lake. Had the ribs, split a half rack with my mate. Yum. Moist with tasty. The waitress Pam, was helpful and fun - the kind with whom you'd want to go for a drink. If you're looking for a little 'Wisconsin Pub' this is it.

We've been going to the Chipmunk for a good number of years and the food here is consistently good. Whether you're there for a burger, a weekend dinner special or just some appetizers and a few drinks, you will not be disappointed. It's meticulously clean, the service is great and you'll never find a better patty melt anywhere. The atmosphere is comfortable and friendly, and we try to get there as often as we can.

Will not be back. Food was not good. The walleye fingers were overcooked and hard to identify as walleye, the New York Strip did not seem like that cut of meat at all, cooked and seasoned very poorly, tasted like a very cheap steak. BBQ Ribs seemed like ribs cooked in a crock pot, meat was mushy and grey and fat on the ribs was mushy and white, BBQ sauce was more like a glaze. Very unappetizing.

This is the place to be if you're in the area. My parents have a cabin on the lake and if we want good food, we always go here. When we came up snowmobiling a couple of weeks ago we came here for drinks. Their drinks are always cheap and plentiful. They were also doing a meat raffle which was fun as well. Go! You will love the food, drinks, and view.

Tried the ribs as suggested by our fantastic waitress and we were not disappointed. But the cocktails were very light.

This is just the kind of tavern you want to visit when hanging out "at the lake." Sit down at the bar and look out the window--check out the fantastic view! Want a beer? They've got almost every New Glarus product available. Want a cocktail? Expect a generous pour. Food is good if you keep to the bar basics: my BBQ ribs were only OK, but my burger was quite good. Don't forget the waffle fries. Staff and customers are friendly. Free wi-fi to boot! Well worth a visit.

Order the philly cheese and you will NOT be disappointed: piles of tasty beef, melty cheese over the cooked just right onions. The best philly I've ever had...okay I haven't been to Philadelphia for one but still...it's a huge sandwich so I don't order the fries as that makes too much food. The pepper burger is a scrumptious combo of peppers (not too hot/not too sweet) in perfectly cooked burger. New to the Chipmunk? The sign behind the bar spells out all the specialty beers (including a delightful misspelling of Leinenkugel that never gets fixed), there are four beers on tap or you can just gaze into the beer case looking for what you want. Sit at a table and you'll have a friendly waitress or sit at the bar and for more company. It's like any bar where everyone turns and looks but at this bar everyone is ready to visit if you are.
