Looooove it here! I've never had anything I disliked. The new remodel is gorgeous, and I love the opportunity to purchase bulk teas, mixed in house. Cannot say enough positive about it!

The food was reasonable priced. I had the chicken and broccoli with fried rice. I went during lunch and the atmosphere was good. My only complaint is that while I was eating one of the server started to vacuum around the table. It was loud and I didn't care for that dust on my food.

Um, well.... I went to this restaurant because of yelp ratings, which I follow faithfully, and I am really shocked at what I have encountered. Maybe I have visited this place on an "off" day? Maybe I am not a fan of bland, dull food? My husband ordered almond chicken, and requested it spicy, it wasn't spicy, no spice at all in fact, bland and boring. I ordered vegetable lo mein, how the heck do you make this taste bad? It was bland and frankly, gross. I keep using that word, but that is the best word to describe these dishes we ordered, tasteless, I had 2 bites of the lo mein and threw the rest away. I am not a picky eater, one of many downfalls. I was very let down and feel like I wasted money on tasteless food, even spicy chili oil and Chinese mustard could not rectify the situation, uffda..... I'm thinking Arby's......

Had the crab rangoons with the spicy Szechuan beef. It was tender and perfectly seasoned, spicy yet not too hot. Would definitely recommend the restaurant.

Great food and service. Being very used to spicy food I have to make sure that I tell them extra spicy and put some kick in it to insure it's how I like it. Understamdable since most locals are not spicy eatiers.

As far as restaurants in Tomah, Wisconsin go, this is, by far, one of the best places to eat. It is on the main high street, the prices are CHEAP ($7 for a main dish), and the waitresses are really friendly. They are also open til 10, which is a bonus, cause most of the restaurants are only open until 9. The food was as "authentic" as I would imagine it would get in rural wisoncisin, but I give it 4 stars cause it was fairly tasty and the service was top noch! We got the orange chicken (way too sweat), but the beef and spring onlion was pretty good, conisdering our other options in the area. And yes... they use an entire onion as a garnish, and then ask us if we would like tot ake it home? That was pretty random, lol!

The staff was great. Maybe a little overwhelming at times actually. Decor nice. FOOD WAS JUST OVER SALTY, OFF FLAVOR, AND BRIGHT (HOT CHEETOS) RED. I WOULD AVOID THIS PLACE. I wont go back. The happy family had 1 shrimp, 2 pieces of mystery meat, 2 scallops, and couple of vegies and tons of liuid red salty sauce. The general Tso's chicken was just about the worst we've had anywhere. Breading was bad and the dish had no flavor other than salt. Yuk. I gave it 2 stars because the place was nice for chinese. I hate buffett, but they serve better chinese at a buffet than this place. YUK. Avoid. Seriously... sorry folks.

I really like this place! Kung Pao shrimp had lots of shrimp and plenty of fresh vegetables in a light but tasty sauce. Prices were very good and my Heineken was cold! Hot and sour soup was both, and delicious!

While the staff was very attentive and the amount of food was extreme, I was not impressed. I ordered the special plate, which came with A TON of food. Started with soup then it came with an eggroll, cooked chicken, a chicken wing, fried shrimp, fried wonton, and a beef kabob BEFORE the main course, which was Kung Pao Chicken and white rice. The plate of chicken was easily enough for two people. The problem? The food was extremely bland! The chicken did have some spiciness to it, but that did not take away from the blandness of it. The service was very good and the restaurant was busy. But I was not impressed.

Not bad, a little greesy and far from authentic. If you are stuck at Ft McCoy, they deliver. So its a change up from the chow hall.

Food is slightly above average for American-style Chinese. Lunch is a very good deal at about $5 for a lot of food (look for lunch specials). Egg drop soup was good. Atmosphere excellent. Nice, cheap spot in to stop while passing through. Service very friendly.

I have been going to this restaurant since I was in high school (20 years?, really?) and it has always been wonderful. The staff is so attentive and funny and personable. The last time I was there they were joking around with us and it is so great. The food is delicious and fresh and wonderful. The best food in Tomah (besides my Grandmother's :)

Excellent food, newly remodeled and expanded. Reasonable prices, beautiful presentation and wonderful service. Food is bumped from 2 stars I gave it last time.

I had soup and appetizers - the egg drop wonton combination soup was excellent, I actually hadn't had wonton soup before - probably would just go with egg drop next time as the crunchy noodles they served with the soup were delicious but the crispy noodles plus wonton was a lot of noodle, haha! The steamed dumplings were delicious and came out much faster than expected. The sauce that came with them was also very delicious, the waitress even remarked she often orders plain rice with the dumpling sauce - it is that good. The crab rangoons were good, as well. The hot tea was my favorite - a nice lilt of jasmine.

The atmosphere of the restaurant was pleasant and completely accommodated the restaurants theme. There was plenty to choose from on the menu, both food and drink, and the dishes had great implementations of culinary art. The service was outstanding; our waitress not only met our needs but had done so exceedingly. Overall, the experience was greatly enjoyed!

Very good. I ordered sweet and sour chicken Peking special dinner. Plenty of food and everything tasted good, perhaps a little salty but I personally like salt. The price was good and the staff was very efficient and friendly.

2.5 stars, but I'm bumping them up for one reason - ambiance. The decor, furniture and vibe of the place is nice Food on the other hand leaves more to be desired, but was decent... i guess. I hit up these out of the way Chinese places when traveling and the food was on the lower end of the spectrum. Service was friendly but lax.

The appetizers and soups were actually pretty good but the main dishes were pretty disappointing. I got the General's Tso Chicken and there was barely any breading on it and after a couple chews, the taste of the sauce drops and its like chewing on plain chicken. My boyfriend got shredded pork and garlic sauce which was a little better than mine but still disappointing. Not take home worthy. And I'm not a big hippie or freegian but I don't believe in wasting a whole onion as a garnish...

Chinese Cuisine

The popularity of Chinese food in America can be adjudicated by the appearance of China Town in many major cities in the United State of America. The popular trend of ordering or opting for Chinese take away food isn't unknown in America. Chinese take away food comes to rescue when you're too tired from work or too exhausted to cook. No one can resist the temptation of eating spicy noodles, shrimp, chicken, beef or pork cooked in the sweet and spicy sauce. The cooking method of authentic Chinese food is a lot different compared to what is served in America.

Generally, Chinese use dark meat small bones and organs to cook dishes but this changes when you are eating American-Chinese fusion food prepared using white boneless meat cooked with broccoli, carrots and onions. Back in China, the food is less spicy and oily as they favor steaming and braising method for cooking the most popular dishes. So, if you have a taste for authentic Chinese food, then try finding a real Chinese restaurant in the city. You can also try the most popular fusion Chinese food like Pecking Duck, Chicken Feet, Hot Pot, Shrimp Dumpling Soup, Mapo Tofu, Wontons, Chop Suey, Egg Rolls and not to forget Fortune Cookies.

There are not many restaurants in America serving authentic Chinese food. A little research on Restaurant Listings directory can help you locate the best Chinese restaurants in the city. Chinese cuisine is continuously evolving, and you can find a variety of dishes categorized as the food for lactose intolerant, gluten intolerant, vegan, vegetarian, and diabetic friendly. So, if you have a group of friends with different taste patterns, save the hassle and visit the nearest Chinese restaurant in your city.
