Very weak. Came in on a Sunday evening (30% full) and sat at the bar. Ordered the ribeye, they were sold out. How do you run out of ribeye? Seriously? The bang bang shrimp appetizer was more like flop flop, and the sirloin tips were disappointing. Culver's would have been better.

EVERYTHING on the menu is frozen. NOTHING fresh. Ordered the club sandwich. Bacon wasn't all the way cooked, they forgot the lettuce, toast was soggy, and went WAY to crazy on the mayo! The fries were cold and stale. Service was OK. Waitress was nice though! The coke tastes good though!! Will never come back again!

Hot Sicilian was good the atmosphere was nice. Homemade potato chips were ok I would get the sandwich again. I would like to try something else again there before I can say if it's great or not.

A safe lunch spot with a wide-array of options despite an odd name for a restaurant. We stopped for lunch on our way home from Minnesota. Being a former favorite of my grandmother, I figured it would be a safe bet for everyone in the family. We all found something (fried) to order. Our server was worth all 3 stars. The food was meh.

We ate here on a Sunday afternoon, passing through Tomah for a vacation. Burger was okay (nothing special) and little overpriced for what you got. Generous amounts of good crispy fries!. I ordered the buffalo chicken wrap and one half of the wrap was okay, but it was served cold with very little chicken. The other half of the wrap had 1/2 cup of ranch and a 1/2 cup of buffalo sauce three pieces of lettuce and two very small cold bites of a frozen breaded chicken strip. It was disgusting Service was okay, waiter was new and nervous, but he tried hard. Talked to us way to much (lots of weird questions??). Should have went to Culvers

I go to the Ground Round at least once a month. The atmosphere is great with the TV's on every table in the lounge area. The drinks are great! But I do have to say that my favorite item on the menu is the Baja Shrimp Tacos! They are awesome!! There aren't a lot of choices in the Tomah area for good food. This is a great place to have a few drinks and dinner with some friends!

I dine regularly at the Ground Round and always have great service. Some of my faves on the menu are the Bruschetta Burger, the Fajitas and many of their salads. Really enjoy this restaurant.

We recently spent a weekend in Tomah and went here for dinner on a Friday night. We arrived around 6pm and kept getting told we would be seated right away but were not, it took about 10 min. to be seated and there were several visible tables open. The waitress took forever to take our drink order, forever to take our food order, the food took very long, and once we were finished it took forever for our bill. I would not recommend this restaurant and we will never go back, a very disappointing visit.

10/24/13 The space is newer and nicer compared to many Tomah restaurants/bars. If you want a cold and yellow stop in and catch the game. That said, this isn't a place I'd recommend for lunch or dinner. The food just isn't that good. As a chain restaurant it'd be better to drive to another town to find a Chilis or TGI Fridays. I'd even recommend the Taco Bell or Subway chains for something better/faster. All are close together just off the highway.

Great food. Great atmosphere. Stop here when around Tomah. Dinner seating or bar room area provides tables and a tv.

I've been to the Ground Round many times. The food is great, but I feel for the quality they're a little over priced. Think Applebee's only bigger portions and a third more pricier. The service is great, my drink has never gone dry. The salads however, and I've had a few, are just never worth it. The lettuce is almost always wilted and old, and if it's fresh, you're lucky, and that's sad. I've been disappointed with their salads every time I have gotten one. But I'm guessing it's because most of the people who dine here don't order a salad. It's a good place to dine. Burgers are great. It has a fun atmosphere. Definitely one of the better places in Tomah.

In my military unit, i'm the guy that gets put in charge of finding food places. I was happy this was right across our hotel so that made it easy. I'm brought my unit here and saw this place had a lot of Variety, their prices were great, and the atmosphere was fun and friendly. WHen ordering food, the service was quick to respond and always with a smile! Who'd have thought a place like this existed in wisconsin. If i ever get to return, i will definately be back.

This is like the most modern looking bar in town. The food was typical bar food. The staff is hit and miss. Some are more friendly than others. Otherwise, nothing special about this place. I'd probably won't be coming here again.

My family and I recently moved to the area from a much larger metropolitan area and were rather disappointed to find Tomah lacking in eat-in chain restaurants. We happened to notice the Ground Round when we were at Walmart and decided to give it a go. Boy, were we happy we did! We arrived, on our first trip, right after the lunch rush but before the dining room was closed. Our server was very nice and accommodating for our family with small children. I ordered a sandwich and my husband ordered a hamburger. We didn't walk away hungry. Portions were generous, to say the least. Everything tasted wonderful. I was also really impressed with the selection of menu items not just for the adults, but for the kids. My daughter really likes the dipping salad (cut fresh veggies with a small cup of dressing and a small cup of grapes). We were impressed enough with the food that we made two more trips over the next two days (we'd just moved here and didn't have our household goods yet). We did have an instance of slow service on one of our trips, but I think it can be explained by our arriving just before they were closing the dining room for bar-only service until dinner. It didn't ruin our day, though, and we still enjoyed the food.

Food was okay but when it takes an hour to get and the place is only 1/10 full, you have to wonder what's the problem. I will not give this place another try. Oh, and Yelp directions took me to the golf course. I should have taken the hint.

This is probably the most up to date restaurant in Tomah. It has a variety of different food, from steaks to Mexican food. It also has a large variety of drinks and drink specials. The wait staff are pretty good. I had the all you can eat ribs for $13.95. The ribs were pretty good and more were brought out before I even asked for them. Overall it was a good experience and would definetly eat there again.

I was out in Tomah on business and the Ground Round became a staple during my stay. 35 cent wing nights on Thursdays were decent, though the wings weren't great. The Bruschetta burger and the buffalo chicken tenderloins were good. The real draw though for me is the Buzztime Trivia setup. The OSO reigns supreme.

Well, over all the food was okay. I asked what drink the waitress would recommend for their drink spacial. So I had myself a long Island ice tea. I must say that I was not impressed. I felt like the amount that I had to pay for the drink that they should have at lest let me take the glass home with me. I don't think that I would take the time to wait for a table at this place. but you never know. You might have better luck then what I had to deal with... :-(

We stopped by for lunch on our way to a friend's wedding. Very friendly and pleasant staff. The food was also very tasty and cheap. Would definitely go again next time in Tomah.
