Very very good Mexican restaurant! I recommend the chicken chimichangas! Also, I didn't behave one... But they offer a 60 oz margarita, which I would totally be all over on a different day. And the salsa IS SO DANG GOOD. Great service, awesome food, great find. I'm really glad I stopped here! :)

Stopped by today on the way home from visiting our grandsons. Very impressed with the food. Flavor awesome, portion size appropriate for lunch, wait staff efficient, and received our lunch quickly. Wish I had 2 stomachs because I want to eat more!! Yummy yummy! We shall return again and again!!

Listen... You're in Tomah. Tomah, Wisconsin. You're looking for even survivable Mexican food. Sounds depressing, right? Calm down. I'll get right to it: This place is great. Food was fantastic. The servers were stunningly attentive and the meal was prepared in amazingly quick. They also have a selection of tequila that goes beyond Jose Cuervo products. (Thank goodness!) In the words of Yoda, "Back indeed will we be! Burritos large, very good!" Okay, Yoda didn't say that, but he would have. You know I'm right. So, five stars. Because: Tomah.

Very good food. Favorable. Definitely worth it!! This is very close to authentic as you can get. Definitely not a taco bell place. Prices are decent and they have a good selection of beers. Worth the trip. The place doesn't look like much but the food is very good.

Last meal stop on our cross country trip from Minnesota to NYC and back again. Authentic Mexican for sure. Rice and beans always put Mexican over the top. Close to 94 and better than the chains near the highway. Women's bathroom was very clean. Men's, well you know. Exterior not much to look at and inside could use some sprucing up. Go local, not loco!

Crisp chips, mild to medium salsa, generous portions for lunch, tasty dishes. Met repeat customers in restaurant, and there were both anglo and latino customers present.

Really like this place. We went here not long after they opened and have been back a few times since. Yes the food is all good, never had anything bad. But the real reason we go is the pitchers of margarita. Cannot say for sure but these do not taste like a syrup laden mix from a bottle but rather they have a fresh squeezed lime taste. And the value of the pitcher at I think $16 is quite good as there are at least 4 or more drinks in there.

This restaurant is as authentic Spanish as you can get in this area. Service is fast and the Queso is delicious. So many food combinations to pick from.

Salsa kinda mild, guacamole tasted like it was store-bought Wholly Guacamole. The quesadilla vegetariana was literally SWIMMING in a creamy white cheese sauce - i can handle a little cheese, but this was ridiculous! I had to peel back the slimey tortilla & pick the mushrooms, spinach& onions out, let the awful sauce drip off & ate what I could of the rice & side vegetable, which luckily did not get covered in the cheese sauce... I guess they don't understand the concept of vegetarian...ugh...

At most Mexican restaurants they give you one tortilla shell per taco here they give you two and a hot sauce is really hot my nose started running

Decent service, decent food. Definitely not somewhere I'd frequent it we were in the area unless we were desperate for Mexican food. We were passing through the area and wanted Mexican food and went here based on reviews. We are from Southern California, so our standards are very high, but still. I had carne asada tacos, lots of meat, but not much flavor. Hubby had a combo with a chile relleno and a steak burrito, meh, kids had a quesadilla kids meal, small portion, and oldest kid had shredded beef nachos, best thing any of us ordered. Prices were normal for a Mexican place.

Mexican Cuisine

If you enjoy Taco Tuesday, then you have officially fallen in love with the Mexican Food. The main grain of Mexican cuisine is maize. Also known as corn, maize is grown for the past 9000 years after the crop was discovered by the people in Mayan civilization. Mexican empire flourished when they started growing beans, tomatoes, chili pepper, sweet potato and cactus. Till this date these ingredients are used in cooking authentic Mexican dishes and drinks.

Great use of spices, fresh chili pepper dishes like fajitas, tortilla chips, corn chips, salsa, chimichangas, burritos, nachos and quesadillas are invented in America. But when you are looking for authentic Mexican food then you must find a restaurant in the city that serves Rajas con Queso, Garbanzo in a Guajillo Chile Sauce, Pork Filled Chiles Rellenos, Chiles en Nogada, Molcajete Salsa, Pico de Gallo and Frijoles de la Olla. An eye-opening fact – Mexican don't like their food hot. They use fresh chili and other spices to create a flavor that lingers in your mouth.

Mexican food is great for those who are Gluten Intolerant as they use Corn instead of wheat in most of their dishes. Also, you can easily find many beans based Mexican dishes. Another dish which didn't get similar glory as tacos or nachos is the Mexican hot chocolate. If you love something hot on a chilly day, then go for Mexican Hot Chocolate. On merry days, you can enjoy the authentic Mexican Drinks like Tequila, Mezcal, Tecuí, Sotol, Bacanora, Charanda, Posh O Pox, Puebla and Pulque. Mexican Cuisine is for people who enjoy strong drinks and hearty meals.
