From the outside, the restaurant looks like it went out of business. I could actually see paint chips flying off the facade of the building. I hesitated and almost decided not to go inside, but all of the good reviews convinced me to continue on through the doors. The restaurant looks like it was decorated in 1973 and then was never updated. We sat away from the restroom because I could definitely smell something subtle and, not so fresh. I tried not to look too close at the busted lanterns hanging from the ceiling or the matted, red carpeting. I tried really hard to imagine this place as it was when they first opened their doors. It was probably a fancy place to be at one time. The food was pretty good. The food looked incredible and then after a couple of bites, not so much. The sesame chicken would have been really good, but they use dark meat, which has a lot of fat. I want to be able to eat a whole bite of food without having to pull knots of fat out of my mouth. The fried rice was super, as were the eggrolls. The hot and sour soup was way too sweet. The waitstaff seemed like they were working with family and they really seemed to appreciate our business and they were very attentive. The staff was so nice and I wish the overall experience was as good as the service. It looks like they have a setup for a weekday buffet. I could definitely see building a take out relationship with this restaurant, if only I lived closer. If the food was perfection, I could have looked past the ambience.

I was very disappointed with my experience at this restaurant. On the outside the place looks like it has been out of business for sometime. The service was pleasant enough at first but as soon as our appetizer came it was nothing but disappointment from that point on. The appetizers were crab rangoons and egg rolls. When I bit into my crab rangoon all I got was a mouthful of cream cheese, there was no crab to be found. I ripped open a few of the other rangoons and there was no crab in any of them. When confronted about this the waitress made an excuse that they dont put much crab in the mix because apparently some people would complain that they did not like crab or were vegetarians. I shouldn't have to explain why that is absurd. My party ate a total of 1 and 1/2 of the 6 rangoons from the order. The egg rolls tasted of soggy cabbage and not much else. When my friends entree came (Beef and broccoli) it looked nothing like expected and tasted very bland. My friend ate less than half of that and all three of us ended up sharing the one order that turned out okay (beef hunan). While getting ready to pay, one of my party again complained about the rangoons and beef and broccoli; not understanding that we at very least wanted a discount for the food we had to flat out say we didn't think it was reasonable to pay for something that wasn't what was promised. The waitress then got offended and spoke even less audible english and concluded that we ate 80% of the food (we didnt). We angrily agreed to pay and she walked away and sent the manager out and after more denying that we had cause to be upset about our food we just payed and left. I wouldn't recommend this restaurant to anyone.

This is one of our FAVORITE places for asian cuisine :). It is a small family restaurant which is well known in the area for great take out food. The inside could use some updates, but the quality of food and service definitely make up for the atmosphere. We make it a point to eat here at leats once a month. The eggrolls and fried rice are amazing! :)

This place is old! The booths are worn out, it's dark and dingy, and the food is average at best. Will definitely not return.

I don't know what the last reviewer was grumpy about... this place is beautiful! The shame is that hardly anyone is there to appreciate it. Don't let that scare you away - I think more people take out than dine in. But the inside is tastefully decorated with legitimate decorations, the way Chinese restaurants used to be decorated: elegant and unique - not cheesy fake stuff bought at a dollar store, or absolutely NOTHING ala mall Chinese shops. They obviously have invested a lot of time and money into their decor. It's not dark at all, although the decorations might make someone feel a little overwhelmed. Now, onto the food. This place is a hidden gem. It has the best orange chicken I've tasted, beating Jing's on Water Street, in my opinion. Unfortunately, that's the only thing I've really gotten here. I have eaten their $5.95 lunch buffet (which comes out more to like $10 with tax and tip), and they have a decent variety of different entrees and side dishes, but the price is not worth it in my opinion. Give this place a try - the staff is always friendly, the orange chicken delicious (and I'm sure their other dishes are too), and the inside is far from old and dingy - it's very tasteful and authentic. :)

The inside and the outside of east sun make it look pretty bad. The lunch buffet was less than impressive with very few choices and quality was lacking. I was the only customer in the entire restaurant and whenever I drive by the place there's never a car in the parking lot. This place needs an upgrade! It has some good food offerings but needs help!

I just ordered from there. The lady on the phone was pushy, and spoke poor english. The Mongolian dish had no rice stick noodles just stale overcooked rice on the side. Bamboo shoots and carrots in Mingolian? It tasted like funky watery hot mess in a plastic container. There was more onions than meat, and enough ginger to kill off something. The rest of the food was bad too.To top it off the driver had no change ? On top of a $3.50 delivery charge a $7 tip for a $20 meal? Learn your Cuisine ! Another kitchen nightmare in ozaukee Never again beware of this place eat at own risk !

Chinese Cuisine

The popularity of Chinese food in America can be adjudicated by the appearance of China Town in many major cities in the United State of America. The popular trend of ordering or opting for Chinese take away food isn't unknown in America. Chinese take away food comes to rescue when you're too tired from work or too exhausted to cook. No one can resist the temptation of eating spicy noodles, shrimp, chicken, beef or pork cooked in the sweet and spicy sauce. The cooking method of authentic Chinese food is a lot different compared to what is served in America.

Generally, Chinese use dark meat small bones and organs to cook dishes but this changes when you are eating American-Chinese fusion food prepared using white boneless meat cooked with broccoli, carrots and onions. Back in China, the food is less spicy and oily as they favor steaming and braising method for cooking the most popular dishes. So, if you have a taste for authentic Chinese food, then try finding a real Chinese restaurant in the city. You can also try the most popular fusion Chinese food like Pecking Duck, Chicken Feet, Hot Pot, Shrimp Dumpling Soup, Mapo Tofu, Wontons, Chop Suey, Egg Rolls and not to forget Fortune Cookies.

There are not many restaurants in America serving authentic Chinese food. A little research on Restaurant Listings directory can help you locate the best Chinese restaurants in the city. Chinese cuisine is continuously evolving, and you can find a variety of dishes categorized as the food for lactose intolerant, gluten intolerant, vegan, vegetarian, and diabetic friendly. So, if you have a group of friends with different taste patterns, save the hassle and visit the nearest Chinese restaurant in your city.
