Visiting family in the area and yelp says it was good... we were very impressed, love the butter compound they make for the bread.

We are a family of four who wanted a pizza and didn't want to go to our usual place. We hear tony maronis being advertised and lauded by Jerry Bott on WISN radio here in the Milwaukee area and we thought we'd give it a try. We were the only family in the restaurant. There were two tables that had not been cleared from previous patrons. We had to look at the mess for the entire stay. The food was just OK. We had to listen to the same five minute loop of Italian songs for the entire time. It made us want to run out of the place as it looped over and over. I went back to use the bathroom and discovered an overflowing trash can, a filthy bathroom, and made the mistake of glancing around the kitchen and work area. Filthy dirty is all I can say. This place has not been cleaned properly possibly EVER. Needless to say, our leftovers were tossed in the nearest trash can.

Saw favorable reviews and decided to make the trip to Sussex to check this place. Was definitely worth the trip. Waitstaff was very friendly. Ordered the garlic bread which was delicious. The pizza was wonderful. Pepperoni was crispy. Toppings were plentiful. Will definitely be back.

When I'm the second order of the day and I have limited time for a lunch break, I'm not thrilled that my order is just getting into the oven when I arrive exactly at the expected pickup time. Regardless of if that's only an estimated time or not, you shouldn't be running 10 minutes behind already on your second order.

Holy Meatballs! Stopped in today on the way home to pick up Lasagna & Cheesy garlic bread for take home dinner. Perfect portions; "personal" baked lasagna was out of this world and their bread was killer as always. Still outstanding guys! Keep up the great job.

This place has slid the last year or so. The last couple of times I've ordered pizza here it has been a soggy mess. I thought the first time was just bad luck, but the second time I called to complain and was told the ingredients I ordered caused the sogginess. Apparently mushrooms, olives, and a bunch of other common pizza ingredients result in a pile of slop that has to be eaten with a fork, because you can't pick it up. I haven't had this problem anywhere else I've ordered the same ingredients, nor here until recently. The spaghetti was also luke warm and the noodles were broken so you couldn't spin your fork to pick them up. Too bad, as this place used to be the best pizza in the area. You're better off ordering from a chain, at least it will cost a lot less.

Driving aimlessly around teeny Sussex, starving, have no idea where we are. The bowling alley looked like a sketch place to stop for food. And then we saw it. Tony's. A small pizza place, not as promising as we would hope, but pizza will always work in a pinch. We walked in, the take-away section to our left, the seating to our right. The decor is kitschy but cozy, there are very few tables and it became evident that this place is more popular for take-away dinner. Our waitress was sweet, attentive, and efficient. My dinner companion quickly decided on the Bacon Chicken Ranch pizza and I agreed. The bacon flavor, which I tend not to like, was perfect. Salty, bacon-y, but not overpowering of the pizza. The crust is the star here, which sounds strange as it's the least important part of pizza in my opinion. But it was crispy, thin, flavorful, smokey, things you didn't realize you NEED in pizza crust. I later found out that they make the crust and all food from scratch, and that quality really shows. This pizza is fantastic, and if I'm close to this area again I will definitely stop by.

This is our favorite pizza place! We especially like the meatball sliders. We mostly have pizza, but we'll have to try some of the pasta options based on the other reviews.

My husband and I moved into our home September of 2013 and we ordered pizza from Tony Maronni's the very first night we spent in our home. My parents had spent the entire day helping us move and we wanted to treat them to dinner. This was our first experience ordering from Tony Maronni's and it was nothing short of amazing. My parents and my husband & I were extremely impressed. My husband and I have never ordered or gone to pick up pizza from anywhere else in the area since. I think we have literally gotten 25 pizza slice magnets now from all the pizzas we have ordered (every 8 magnets you get a free pizza) and we won't be stopping anytime soon. So glad Tony Maronni's is about 2 minutes away from our house. :)

Food is overpriced and usually burned. The location and fact it delivers are the few perks of it.

Best pizza in town! If you are used to ordering pizza from a chain, please give this place a try...you won't go back. You can either take and bake or they will bake it for you (we always opt for the latter). Great crust, sauce, and toppings. One of the pizzas on the menu that is loved by all our friends/family is the New Yorker, but you can choose any topping combination. There is a small area if you want to dine in but most people either pick up or have it delivered (if you are lucky enough to live in the Sussex area). All of our neighbors swear by this place.

Love the hand tossed crust, yes I am a crust fan. Decided to go thick crust last night, and I don't know if they use a different sauce because it was spicy. I will stick to the hand tossed. Best I had next to Little Italy in NY.

Since August I have been hanging out at the Meetupery in Sussex and have been turned onto Tony Maronni's Pizza. We had visitor that asked where the closest pizza joint was and I said, I am not sure how close but the best is Tony Maronni's. When the delivery came it was Tony himself. What a nice man and what an excellent pizza. Today's choice was: Chicken Alfredo with rich creamy Alfredo sauce, grilled chicken breast, seasoned spinach, fresh onions. Magnifico! Thick crust was ordered however I am always a fan of thin crust. -MJ

Jesus, what incredibly good pizza here. The service was exceptional. Best pizza that I've had in Wisconsin. We weren't able to finish our meal when the place closed, and they didn't rush us, allowing us to remain for a good 20 minutes after closing. Great atmosphere! Highly recommended.

We were very pleased. The food was great and the place was quaint. Tony even came out to meet us and make sure everything was OK. I highly recommend Tony's.

The pizza here is amazing! I moved to Sussex a year ago, and was so happy to find such a great pizza place so close to my new home. The Tony Maronni and the Antipasta salad make a perfect meal. I usually do take-out since I like my pizza paired with a nice beer -- the restaurant does not serve beer or wine.

I live in the area and I hardly ever get pizza from anywhere else. One of the many downfalls of the pizza place is it's crust-sauce-toppings proportions. This place has the perfect balance of all of those things. It's clear that they use fresh ingredients and put a lot of care into their product. It's a little bit pricey, but if you get a couple of large pizzas for a crowd is worth it if you consider how much it costs to go out to eat with the group. There might be a better pizza in the area, but I haven't found it yet.

Tried their pizza at work, one our customers is a regular patron of Tony Maronni's, and suggested we try it. What a great suggestion, my co-workers and I thoroughly enjoyed it. The crust was yeasty and fresh, the sauce was flavorful, it did not taste like it came from a can, the pepperoni was a little crispy and the cheese was ooey gooey and yummy. All around deeelicious. I don't live near Tony's but I will surely make the trip!

Very good pizza and very friendly service. I love their thin crust for the pizza as it's not too thin but still is nice and crisp. My favorite items here are the bruschetta bread and the spaghetti and meatballs. They use a high quality mozzarella cheese and fresh basil for the pesto.

Best pizza you will get near lake country. I just went here for the first time and was shocked to hear this place had been open for 6 years. The chef/owner is very friendly and came out and talked to us. He told us all his sauces, crusts, dressings, are homemade from scratch. That attention to detail really comes through in the food. Please do not judge this place by its chaotic decor, the food is quality, even though the decor might not be...and in the long run...that is truely what matters. I like to do the "coffee test" for every restaurant I go to. I think you can tell a lot about the chef and his passion and attention to detail by the quality of coffee they serve. This coffee was spot on, fresh, smooth, and not even a hint of the dreaded burnt bitterness that you get at so many places. I now have a go-to pizza place in lake country, I am so thankful there are chefs still out there that cook for the love of food, as opposed to the dozen Papa Murphy's that are out there just to make money, with no love for the food at all.

Even though I have had better, I do like Toni Maronni's Pizza. The crust is nicely done with a pleasant mouth-feel, the sauce is nice and tangy, the cheese is a little on the thicker side, but compliments all other constituent toppings nicely. As for the dining areas, it is rather pit-ish. It is best to do a carry out.

Pizza is okay, but I cannot believe that they pass health inspections. I am no neat freak, but my frat house in college was far more sanitary. Lasagna was clearly just something they bought frozen and heated in the pre-packaged tray. If I wanted frozen food I would have gone to Pick-n-Save.

Best pizza in the area (not just Sussx)!! We actually tried Tony Maronni's because another local pizza place closed. I'm so glad we did...the pizza sauce is great, the crust is perfect and the owner is friendly/helpful. Better than any chain pizza place out there and reasonably priced too. Also, if you like spicy wings, try them here. Great blend of flavor and spice.

If you're in the Sussex area and are craving a slice of pizza, your options are limited. But that's okay because Tony Maronni's is as good as it gets. Serving a full menu of pizza, calzones, soup, salad and pasta, there's something for everyone. Their food is prepared fresh and available take and bake or fully cooked. Where Tony Maronni's really clinches the fifth star is in their customer service. Each order I've made has been taken in a friendly, fast and personable manner. On average, my food has been ready for pickup within 25 minutes of ordering and has been correct every time. Delivery is an option and a full menu is available online. Be sure to check out the barbecue chicken calzone. It's delicious.
