Since my first visit, we've been back a few times because my husband loves the wing special. After dealing with the crabby waitress a few times, we lucked out and started getting better servers. I've tried a few menu items, from burgers to pasta. Everything is decent..but I would stick to the basics with them. It is a nice place for a beer and a bite to eat. Don't expect something amazing and you'll walk away happy.

Great seafood place. Not many people know about this place. Katrina was a great waitress. Food was good hot and presented nicely. Really enjoyed ourselves.

Decent food, good drinks. They have all-you-can-eat crab legs one of the week nights and they were really good, however I have never had real crab meat before coming here.

We drove by this restaurant a few weeks ago and was anxious to try it out. The food prices seemed very reasonable with many delicious choices from the hamburger fan to the seafood lover. They had wonderful variety of appetizer choices as well as a full bar. we had the crab stuffed mushroom caps for an appetizer....AMAZING!! All of our dinners were generous and came with 2 sides and a choice of soup or salad. We were so pleasantly surprised that they offered Portabella mushrooms as a side...a real nice portion too!! For dinner my husband had the prime rib for $18.95....it was beautifully done medium rare and melted in your mouth. My friend crab stuffed talapia for $17.95 that was flaky and moist. I had 2 lbs of snow crab....for ONLY $19.99!! I have to say...they were the BEST crab legs I've had in a long time!! They were cooked perfectly....each leg"snapped" with easy and the meat pulled out in one piece!! The meat was sweat and moist!!! Our waitress was Katrina and was very attentive. She warned us politely that she would be slow due to she was the only waitress. We did not mind as we were not in a hurry. But we were pleasantly surprised how fast the service was!! She was apologetic at the end of the meal for how long the service took and we all told her that we thought it was an excellent dining experience and did not seem any longer and even shorter than most restaurants we go to. We will definitely come back!!!! VERY GOOD restaurant!!!! If you are traveling to or from Milwaukee it is well worth the trip and you won't be sorry!! It is on the west side of 94 and 20 next to the Travel Lodge.

Ambiance is American seafood restaurant, not surprisingly, nautical stuff strewed and hanging, interesting well maintained fish tanks. We didn't have any problems with the service, but I think it's funny that some Yelpers have had a "crabby" waitress here. I guess there's nothing fishy about that. We didn't order crab, but the fried and broiled fish choices were good enough to bring us back. Parking is easy, this place is right off of 94, so that's its biggest plus to us. If you're commuting long or short between Chicago and Milwaukee, coming or going from UW-Parkside, Racine or Kenosha, I recommend this place for a seafood lunch or dinner. I'm always leery of ordering anything but seafood at a seafood restaurant, so I just don't know about that other stuff on them menu.

Ugh this place has gone downhill! We used to LOVE the panko fish fry. Today it had no flavor, my baked potato had black mold and wasnt cooked, and I found what seemed to be a bone in my fish.. However cod doesnt have bones and it was way thicker than a fish bone. Completely disgusted. This place seemed to deteriorate a little each time I came recently but tonite was it for me- I wont be back.

When we pulled up I was a little leery because it looked like a bar attached to a hotel. Once inside I liked it. The ahi tuna was very good. The crab stuffed mushroom appetizer was a little oily for my taste, but flavorful. The coconut shrimp was very good. It came with a good blackberry sauce which was a nice change from the mango/pineapple run of the mill sauces. We sat at the bar and Julie did a great job. They ran out of Jameson, but did offer me a free drink of my choice. The only downside was that all the food was a bit overcooked. On the flip side it was hot. I'll come back.

I love the seafood at this restaurant, burgers too. Don't order steaks if your picky about how it's prepared. The service is always very slow. I don't know that I'll ever return because they pay there cooks cash, which is a little bit illegal.. That's ridiculous.

Conflicted. Went there with a few friends and enjoyed 25 cent wings on Monday night. About 10 delicious sauces to choose from. The only problem was the waitress and the service. She felt the need to correct us on everything (my friend ordering "parmesan garlic" was interrupted with "garlic parmesan" by the waitress correcting him with a glare that was quickly followed by an awkward silence). We had to wait about 30 minutes between visits from her which is strange because she would pass our centrally located table only not to return back. Its not a good sign when the most memorable thing of the night was poor service because the wings were tasty and a great bargain. For now the place receives 2 stars. UPDATE: My friends went the next week and got the same waitress again. She was still curt and difficult. We will not be returning there any time soon

We love the food here! The apps are all very good! My favorite is Panco crusted anything. This is a very family friendly place, however there is a bar in the middle of the dining areas. This place is a little off the path however I promise it will be worth it! There is also great specials each day.

When you are in the sticks on the road, you're lucky if you can find a Hooters. Even luckier if you can find Joes Crab Shack. But a fairly serious seafood grill with steaks and a bar with bigscreens? That's practically paradise. Captain's Cove is the coolest truckstop joint I've ever been in, because it's just barely above you basic cheesy wood interior. And they have a shark tank. That's what I said. There's a four foot shark in that huge aquarium over there, and you can sit right next to it and watch the game. It'll freak you out every minute or so when it comes into your peripheral vision. That's entertainment. I'm giving this one five stars. The food is good and cheap, and while the service ain't top notch, you don't deserve it in a truck stop. The joint is just nice enough to convince you that you should get better service, but. if you get airs, then maybe you should sit at the bar. That'll cool your jets.

My friends and I normally go for ayce crab legs on Wednesdays. We always seem to get the same waitress....who is a complete rude witch. After ordering our food, she responds with a "and what do you say?" as if we are supposed to say may we please have orders of crab? Or 2 orders of crab please? Just bring our food and do your job! Every time she is unbelievably rude. Never gotten a tip from us other than to get an attitude adjustment!

They have heard the reviews, and the service has gotten better. I went there after buying a restaurant.com certificate first, and then reading the reviews on Yelp. I admit, I was a little anxious. From the road, they looked closed, and when we walked in, all the customers were at the bar, and there were no servers in sight. It's much more of a sports bar than a truck stop, which one reviewer wrote. A hostess came from the back right away, and was very pleasant. The menu is complete, and based on a review, I went for the prime rib that they only have on Saturday and Sunday. It was a little dry, and the baked potato was served with butter in those little foil packets that don't quite soak into the potato. I got steamed veggies, which were pretty bland, until I dipped them in my sour cream. My friend got the portabella mushrooms as a side, and she said they were good. The food was okay, but the service was excellent. The shark in the tank looked sad. I'm just sayin'. Sharks are meant to be in the wild. But check this place out. It's worth the drive out from Racine.

The shark tank is about the only thing I'll remember about this place. I ordered a grilled salmon which wasn't bad but nothing special either. Looking at my coworkers plates, it was probably the most edible thing on the menu. If you find yourself in Racine, WI and are desperate for seafood at the same time, go ahead and stop in here. The beer's cold and the fish is fresh...err I mean ready.

Overall, extremely dissapointed. when i walked in there wasnt a hostess or anyone even paying attention so we stood around for a min before being seated. we then ordered drinks and an appetizer of oysters rockefeller, which i did not eat but my boyfriend did, and he said they were decent. we waited for about seven minutes to get my "double" captain and coke and his "double" jack and seven. the first drink i got was flat so i sent that back, not a big deal. and the second one i got was sooo strong it was not even enjoyable, probably because they use a very small glass for doubles. i believe double shot drinks should be served in a pint glass FULL of ice. there was about 8 cubes in my drink.so not only was my drink so strong and not enjoyable it was not very cold. not wanting to send another drink back i gagged it down throughout dinner. i ordered filet mignon and it was the toughest, fattiest filet i ever have had in my life. not to mention the outside was charred. my boyfriend got prime rib and set it was good and he would order it again. he ordered mixed veggies to go with his dinner and they looked like mush out of a frozen bag from the grocery. oh and i got salad bar and when i walked up there i thought it was a joke. there was like five bowls total and the tomatoes were yellow. and they only offered cheese and croutons to go with it. wow.i think mcdonalds side salad for a dollar is more presentable than that. silverware was dirty also. pretty pricey for the way they run. waitress was very pleasant. I will not be returning.

stopped in on a saturday night after not being able to find a parking spot at the olive garden. It was about 5:45pm, the place was not crowded at all which was nice but maybe a bit scary for a saturday night at the prime dinner hour. We walked in and stood there for a few minutes before being noticed, which was a turn off for me but figured we should give them a try seeing as they are so close to the house and never giving them a try, Server arrived at the table promptly, took our drink order and gave us the menus. We decided to try the scallops as an appitizer, opted for the pan seared. I believe they were about 8 bucks. I was a bit skeptical ordering them this way seeing as they need to be cooked perfectly as to not turn into a golf ball. They were cooked to perfection served with melted butter, very tasty but you only get 4 of them!!!! I ordered the prime rib specia,l king cut, about 20bucks medium rare of course!! with a baked potato. It was good, your standard prime rib cooked how I ordered it. Only complaint was it really needed to have a crust on the outside, it really had no flavor, but some salt and pepper quickly took care of that. My other half ordered the fajita combo, steak, chicken and shrimp, about 17bucks. The taste was ok, I have had better but hey it's a seafood place. I was expecting it to be served on a sizzle platter but it just came on a regular plate.. oh well. The portion of that dish was a joke, seriously! They could double the size and still make quite a nice profit, Again it wasn't the taste or cooking method that turned me off, just the amount you get. I am willing to pay good money for a decent amount of good food, and it was good, just not a decent amount. Overall I will return, maybe even for the prime rib, which was a decent cut of meat for the spend, but definately will try a few other menu items to see if the portions are any better.
