I enjoy this spot. Good coffee, tea, etc. Also good sandwiches and soup. They also have free wifi. It is located on a corner north of downtown Spooner. Parking is mostly on the side street. Employees are friendly and helpful in answering questions about the menu. I highly recommend this spot for a coffee break or a lunch. I think you will enjoy it!

What a great find! Heading back to to the big city we wanted "fancy" coffee! What a cute little place with great mixed expresso drinks! Also grabbed some treats for the road! Very friendly service!

They offer gluten free bread for a dollar extra. However, the waitress said they do not clean off the grill so cross contamination is a huge problem. Then she proceeded to say "I don't know how anyone could possibly eat that stuff [gluten-free bread]." The insensitivity and lack of care for someone with celiac disease was very off putting and frustrating. The drinks are fine but I know I will never be eating at this place going forward. Especially since I couldn't even have a panini with the gluten free bread they offered, I had to order it without the bread.

What a great place on the north side of downtown. We needed some wifi to catch up on work and we were pleasantly surprised with Ally Cats Coffee. We have the loose leaf tea and a couple panini sandwiches. Both were fantastic and to go we grabbed a smoothie that was fantastic, Guava Passionfruit. I will be back here again anytime I'm in the Spooner area.

Alley Cats is like an oasis in a town where your only other option for a quick coffee is McDonalds. We paid $5 for a 16oz Carmel iced coffee and medium iced Mocha. Their soups and sandwiches are also awesome and the WiFi is great!

YUM! The 'Company B' was easily one of the best sandwiches I've ever had!!

Great place, friendly staff, good coffee, clean. Everything you want in a coffee shop. Free wifi makes Alley Cats a great place to work from. Spent the day here working on web design and had no issues with internet.

My family settled in NW Wisconsin and we've been just outside Spooner for literally, 4+ generations. We were badly in need of a real true espresso/bistro. The ambiance is very nice and it is a comfortable place to sit and work on the laptop. Fun and interesting art work to look at. Plus, the location is very convenient. Service is always friendly and the coffee is well done. Breakfast sandwiches are also very yummy. While I don't live in Spooner, I will certainly make a point to give these folks my business. Hint: They are closed on Sunday :(

Stopped in on way up north for camping-we were looking for anything besides burgers or bar food! This place was perfect. The cafe was very busy-in fact our waitress was quite flustered and rushed. The food was pretty good, not great. But service was quite fast despite how busy they were. Both panini's we ordered hit the spot. The beef soup was a joke though. I didn't have any beef in my cup and the not much flavor. I will add the prices are Very friendly here! For small town WI is nice to see joints like this.

Alley cats is like an oasis of wifi and good coffee in the northern WI woods. The coffee is very well made, as are the cappuccinos and paninis. Highly recommended if you're in need of quality java or an internet connection.

I came here to do some work because the cabin I'm at doesn't have wifi, and was pleasantly surprised to meet Robert (the owner) who made me a proper cappuccino with a good shot with great foam! I'm a stickler for that and when I travel in small towns I usually just default to iced coffee because you can't screw that up! Really nice people here and a great place to hang out. Outdoor seating too!

Great place! I found this place while staying at a relatives cabin. I need my espresso fix and searched for a coffee shop. I found this place! Great service, very tasty iced lattes, and yummy smoothies to boot. I love coffee shops (obsessed with them really), and if I lived in this area, I would frequent here often.

A great find in Spooner WI. Fresh homemade soup and grilled sandwiches hit the spot during a roadtrip from Arizona to Michigan. Good coffee, and great small town service. Dined on the front deck on a sunny day.

At least twice a month, my partner and I head up to Spooner/Hayward from The Cities to visit our friends and her family - Alley Cats is the stop for our caffeine fix. Fantastic coffee and home-made bake goods - their cinnamon rolls are a must-try. The owner is never not there and he makes the one of the creamiest lattes a barista has ever made me. They have great monthly themed drinks, like "The Nutty Irishman" in March, and their flavoring with syrup isn't overdone. My only hang up is that Alley Cats, like almost every other coffee shop in a skinny-latte world, doesn't carry whole milk. If they did, I might have to swing by Spooner on my morning commute to Saint Paul.

Fabulous mocha and panini breakfast sandwiches and great atmosphere! the staff was friendly and helpful. I found out after I finished my meal that credit cards aren't accepted and had to run to the ATM for cash to pay my bill. The staff was nice about it and it wasn't a problem, just unexpected.

Good coffee and lattes, super reasonably priced food, nice setting. Service was a bit slow, but they were crowded.

Good coffee and smoothies with a nice small menu featuring a variety of tasty paninis and breakfast options. The service is always excellent, this is a great stop while traveling through NW Wisconsin.

When I rate things on Yelp I take the location into consideration. For Spooner, which is two hours from a major city, this is as good as it gets. The sandwiches are very good. I'd take one of these over Panera any day. (I know, to some of you that's probably not saying much, but trust me, they're pretty good). Coffee is good as are the baked goods because they're not greasy like the mass produced stuff you might get at a big box grocery store. This is right about at the halfway point between the Twin Cities and Bayfield if you're taking the Hwy 8/63 route, too, so it's a great midway stopping point.

Great Coffee! Great selection and variety of drinks. The food menu is small but everything on it is prepared perfectly every time. The staff is friendly and the decor is pleasing.
