Lucky enough to find this place after a "back roads adventure" (#gettinglost) and also lucky enough to be there on a morning when they were serving their homemade corned beef hash! Best corned beef hash I've ever had, hands down! A little gem of a place in a cute little town. Not that there's much to chose from in this area, but it's nice that this place is actually good. Service is also as friendly as you'd expect from a small town in the middle of nowhere-awesome!

Fantastic gem of a small town restaurant! I love good food made from scratch and this place does not disappoint. Pancakes as big as hubcaps (can order a baby pancake for $2.25), big beautiful caramel roll (2.00), and then we ordered The Pile - hasbrowns, sausage, ham, bacon, 2 eggs covered in hollandaise ($9.00). My husband and I split everything and no way could we finish. My only complaint was the toast being pre-buttered and did not like the spread used. Service awesome. Highly recommend. Only open for breakfast and lunch. Saturday only serves breakfast. Cash or checks only.

This is your classic old men at the round table kind of place. Packed on the weekend so beware. I've only ever been for breakfast and mostly to eat the pancakes. They are huge-my girls get the baby cake and it's still as big as the plate. Last time grandma amd grandpa treated them to a pancake with chocolate chips and a scoop of ice cream on top. Ugh-that's what grandparents are for right?

My grandpa used to take me here at the crack of dawn, before we'd go fishing on Devil's Lake. I still like to go once in a while when I'm in the area. The food is basic but tasty. It has a vibe about it that just screams 'old fishermen eat here.' Maybe its just my nostalgia, but to me this place is down home in just the right way. Its dirt cheap, palatable, and full of mildy-crotchety-but-Wisconsin-Nice old men. Its great.

Good old small town cafe. Very popular with locals as well as tourists. If you like the small town feel you can't go wrong.

Small town diner with excellent breakfasts, local charm, and pancakes as big as your plate. Only order one!

What you'd expect from a small-town cafe. Surly waitness? check. Placemats with ads for local businesses? check. Old guys in overalls? check. Large portions of greasy, simple, filling food? check, check, check. I had the breakfast sandwich, which was pretty damn good: egg, cheese and bacon between two thick slices of french toast. A large hot chocolate came with a mountain of reddi-whip on top. Not too shabby.
