Harry’s Prohibition Bistro Pizzeria & Bar Menu

Sorry, We are updating this restaurant menu details.

This place isn't terrible but Italian restaurants and pizza joints are plentiful; and the prohibition era look, feel and costumes is more fun and family oriented than yuppie or hip. Overall it's great if you're out with your family but it's not really a young adult place.

I have been here 4 times now and I'm never disappointed. It is hard to find a really good restaurant in sheboygan but this one's a gem. Chicken gnocchi is fantastic. I have had the prosciutto pizza every time and have never been let down. My step son has the linguine with marinara sauce and always finishes it. The Huge selection of beer is very nice "I always get the beer flight". And the service is stellar. Jessica is or waitress and we would wait for her if we had to. Granted we have always had a different waitress and even a waiter but now we know who where most comfortable with. It's kind of like finding your first house the other houses are nice but you know when you have found the right one! And I have saved the best for last! LEMONCELLO!! Oh yeah if you don't get anything else stop here and sip on this. It is absolutely the best dessert drink I've ever had! I'm pretty sure Harry said he makes it there. This was long I know but this place is worth it!

So, so good. The waiter was very knowledgeable, the prices were good, the food was excellent. We ordered an appetizer, 3 pizzas, an Alfredo dish for the kid. It was so good that we had to try dessert to go. The Nutella pizza was amazing... what I got of it-the child claimed it. Also had tiramisu- which was equally awesome. We will totally be back.

Super experience at Prohibition Bistro tonight - my first! Prosciutto Pizza was fabulous, with truffle bisque to start, a fragrant truffle oil & mushroom cream soup. My date's house salad was a gorgeous mound of baby greens with high quality balsamic & olive oil, along with very nice steamed mussels in garlic cream - tender, sweet & NOT over cooked. Our waiter, Alex, gets very high marks for just the right amount of attention, super menu knowledge and overall sparkling personality. Bar menu is not massive but manageable, along with specialty cocktails like a beet ginger martini that was a hit! Interesting beers, like a bourbon aged ale, their house specialty, was excellent. It's clear the entire staff is devoted to seeing to a great experience for each and every diner, and I wish them much success!!

Went to dinner here last night for the first time and had a great experience. Ordered a pizza and a pasta dish to split. The food was delicious and arrived faster than expected. The chipotle sauce on the pasta was to die for and I will definitely be ordering it again. 4 out of 5 stars.

If you are looking for a family friendly, reasonably priced Italian dining experience, I highly recommend that you give HPBP a try. We visited on a Sunday night just as they opened, and I'm glad we got there early, because the place was packed by the time we left. We got a friendly greeting and were seated immediately. The wait staff are all decked out in suspenders and red fedoras, to resemble gangsters of the Prohibition era...pretty cool. Our server Jessica was friendly and knowledgable on the menu items. They have decent beer selection, so I started with a 3 Sheeps Rebel Kent, a malty (not too) sweet delight. My entree was linguine with marinara and Italian sausage. The marinara was as rich and flavorful as the best I've ever eaten and the sausage was savory and not overly spicy. Our pizza choices were Margherita, and the other, sausage. The toppings were just right, the sauce with a light tomato flavor and the thin crust was tasty. Another point I would like to make is that during our week in Sheboygan, we visited a number of restaurants, and Harry's was the ONLY restaurant at which (I'm assuming he was) the owner walked from table to table asking if patrons were enjoying their meal, and then thanked us on the way out...so kudos to them! Next time we are vacationing in Sheboygan, Harry's will be our first choice for Italian dining.

We had an unforgettable evening at Harry's Prohibition Bistro Friday night. The service, the food and the experience were all top notch (and I'm picky when it comes to great Italian fare). Despite arriving without a reservation, we were well taken care of. The staff was genuinely friendly. Even Al (the co-owner) personally checked in on us at the bar while we sipped on a delicious glass of (properly aerated) Sheriff of Buena Vista Red Blend wine. When our preference of a patio table opened up, we got to watch the sunset while savoring their absolutely incredible Burrata appetizer (the bufala mozzarella is out of this world)! Every bite of the Prosciutto and Grapes was fresh and flavorful. We ordered a few different pizzas because we couldn't choose just one. The Margherita DOC was my personal favorite. The Lemon pizza with arugula and basil was also delightfully (and surprisingly) refreshing on this warm summer evening. Our server commented that while she has another full time job, she still works at least one night a week here because she loves this place and the people. After eating here, we completely understand what she means. Thank you, staff at Prohibition Bistro, for a fantastic dinner. My family and I argued all the way home over which aspect of dinner was the best. I still say it's the Burrata. Bravo!

I have been here a few times. Every time has been amazing. The staff is extremely kind and the owner is the best guy ever! The food here is great too. The wine selection is big and wonderful. The food is also just WOW. The pizza is probably the best I have ever had 11/10!!

My girlfriend and I didn't even know this place existed until we walked past it on our way to South Pier Parlor. We decided to come back and give it a go, and we're definitely glad we did. The interior is really cute and is, as expected, prohibition themed. The waitstaff are in hats and suspenders, the lights are dimmed. It's a cool looking place. We opted to sit outside, so that we had a view of the river. Our waiter was really nice and made sure we knew all the specials, and checked on us often. The owner, Harry I presume, also came around and talked to all the tables, which I thought was a pretty cool touch. He's a nice guy and seemed to really care that our food was good and that we were comfortable. He ended up lowering our shade for us because we looked too much in the sun, which made us laugh a bit. We started off with two Stella Cidres ($4.50) and the Pomodoro appetizer, which appears to no longer be on their menu but was I believe about $8. It was bread, mozzarella, tomatoes, and oil and balsamic, and it was delicious. It was also a bigger portion than we had anticipated. Then came our entrees. I ordered a lemon pizza ($11) which comes with smoked mozzarella cheese, lemon, arugula, parmesan cheese and fresh basil. My girlfriend ordered the Chicken and Gnocchi ($18) which is (according to the menu) grilled chicken and potato gnocchi, onion and garlic sautéed in white wine reduction and fresh cream with sun-dried tomato butter topped with prosciutto crisp. My pizza was pretty good. The crust was thin but still soft, which I appreciated. The flavor was nice. The smokey cheese went well with the bitter lemon. My one issue is that I thought the arugula would be on the pizza like a normal topping. Instead it came in a weird, salad-like pile on top. I ended up just moving the pile off to the side to get my pizza. It was good, but I'd order a different pizza next time. My girlfriend's chicken and gnocchi however was fantastic. The chicken was well-cooked and juicy. The gnocchi were cooked perfectly. The sauce it was in was absolutely delicious, creamy but not to heavy and full of flavor. Admittedly, I kept shoving my pizza crusts in her bowl to dip them in the sauce, it was that good. I'd order that again and again. For dessert, we decided to split one so we didn't feel guilty about going to South Pier later. We opted for the vanilla Panna Cotta ($4) French style, that is, with the burnt sugar layer on top like you'd find on a creme brulee. It was really good. It was the right consistency and texture, it had a nice creamy flavor, and I mean, who doesn't love that moment when you get to tap your spoon against the sugar? We're sad we waited so long to come here, but we'll definitely be back. There's a great, relaxed atmosphere, friendly workers, and good food, all with a view of the river.

Having again recently returned to Harry's this past Friday night (though we've been back a few times between my first review and this one) I was pleased to see they continue to out-do themselves. We ordered the corn pizza again (with extra 'everything' bc sometimes it seems a little scant) and it was fan-tas-tic!!! We also ordered the new 'mezza luna' pizza, because it seemed rather intriguing. It is half a margarita pizza, and half a stuffed pizza (stuffed with mascarpone, garlic, sausage) and it comes with a small side salad. Not only was that pizza fun, it was also delicious! Harry brought us a complimentary mascarpone dessert that was to die for! With fantastic cherries and a crunchy cylindrical piece of chocolate, even I (who am not a dessert lover) couldn't get enough of this delicious delicacy! The only drawbacks were: ordering wine by the bottle (there are at least 4 Zinfandels on the menu) - I asked the waitress about one, but it wasn't so much to my liking. Also at times service seemed slightly off. Then again, our waitress seemed quite busy, but Harry checked on us and made us feel at home. Can't wait to go back :)

This place is by far one of the best restaurants for Italian Food and we are from Chicago . The owner and staff are so polite . Food was outstanding !!!! Braised beef was so good and tender. Outstanding pizza! Reminded us of pizza we had in Europe. Standard and also creative pizza options. Friendly and knowledgable staff. A few local beers on tap. Family friendly but still with a casually sophisticated feel. Open kitchen with the wood fire stove. Got the sausage pizza and the prosciutto. Both were excellent! Also the olive appetizer. Yum! We will definitely be back!

I absolutely LOVED the Burrata appetizer! It was melt in your mouth delicious. I tried the Margarita DOC and the Lemon Wood Fired Pizza. The wine selection was fantastic, the service was fantastic and the view from the patio was fantastic. I was not expecting the gourmet dining selections that we were met with when I walked in but we are so so glad we choose Harry's!

We walked in with 12 people and half our group was already seated at a table. One of the people in our group had 2 oz left in a Starbucks drink and they tried to take it away from her saying she was not allowed to carry in anything and continued to tell her that it was rude that she even tried. Their manager was very unprofessional. So we walked out.

Dined here twice during our stay at Blue Harbor and loved it! Sat outside on the patio which overlooks the water and boat area. I had the marguerita pizza which was simply delicious. The pizza crust is pillowy and perfect, and you can tell they use high quality ingredients. Very fast service, and Hannah was a great waitress. I highly recommend this place!

This place is as good as it gets. There's nothing more you could expect or want in a restaurant. Sitting right on the riverwalk with beautiful outdoor dining spot, you'd think this place would solely have to sell it self on location. But this joint could be in the heart of Gary, Indiana and you'd still want to go there. The prohibition theme runs genuinely throughout the restaurant, from giant menus to servers in suspenders and old school driving caps. The menu is extensive with a variety of pizzas, wines, and my favorite - a long list of craft beers I've never heard of. I tried the 8.2% Southern Pier IPA, and it was only $5.50. There are several different unique types of pizzas to choose from. A lot of the ingredients including the mozzarella are made in house at the restaurant. There are pizzas with Italian meats you've never heard of such as Coppa or Hot Sopressata. Or a pizza that splits into fourths and each 1/4 of the pizza is a different pizza. They even have a pizza with corn. We decided to go with the Coppa. The pizza came relatively quick. We opted for plenty of fresh graded parmasean cheese on top. Upon our first bite, we both thought the pizza was amazing. The parmasean was soo good, the homemade mozzarela was a perfect texture and the coppa was a perfect salty spice. The owner of the restaurant came by before our meal to thank us and after to ask us if everything was perfect. Sometimes you say yes in a situation like that knowing that's not the case, but I confidently was 100% honest when I said yes, it was perfect. The owner then again thanked us for coming once we left. The meal was under $30 with 3 drinks and a pizza. The service was spectacular. The ambiance was incredible. The pizza would make Pizza Man taste like Papa Johns. I must return.

I'll be honest; I wasn't sure if it deserves 3 or 4 stars. The food: There are, unfortunatly, a lot of eurpean style pizza places in town, and this one is right down the middle. It was tasty, quick, and fresh. It wasn't bad, however it didn't jump out. The Staff: They were attentive, polite, and quick. Our waitress knew the menu, could answer all the questions, and was happy to joke around. It was appreciated. The atmosphere: This is where I think it deserved 3 stars. The actual building is in a great location, with views of the river and lake, and the inside had nice decor. The downside is the overly-cheesy and "we tried to hard" prohibition outfits. It's hard to determine exactly the clientele they are trying to focus on. It's not really aimed to the hip our younger crowd, it isn't aimed at families - it truly is a style all their own. The takeaway - I would recommend it. It's not terribly pricey, the food and drinks were good, and the service was excellent. If you can see past the weird suspenders and hats, you're golden.

Excellent service from Robert! Pizza has a thin crisp crust with fresh ingredients! The campfire pizza was a perfect dessert. The owner was also attentive and kind. We'll be back!

Cool place with kind of a speakeasy theme going. No too long of a wait. Just long enough to relax and settle in with a cocktail. Had the margarita pizza which was prepared well and delicious. This was our first stop and will plan to visit again. Cheers.

Just got into town. First time in Sheboygan. The food here is just as perfect as the setting. I had a scrumptious sweet pea soup and a very solid sausage pizza. Lovely staff! I would definitely suggest sitting outside if the weather is good. Oldies playing while the light glimmers off the water.

Always a great experience whenever we come here. I had the chicken and gnocchi and my friend had the leek and sausage pizza. Both were delicious! I forget the name of the wine that was recommended but it paired really well with my dish. I'll have to ask the server next time. They always make you feel welcome. I love the atmosphere and the era theme. Great job! 5 stars

We've tried this place twice with a group of 8. The staff can not handle large groups, we ordered appetizers and each ordered a pizza. They missed one appetizer and two pizzas both times. The last time they charged us for two pizzas we never got and accused us of eating them. We will not go back and warn you if you am have a group, go some place else.

Very good Pizza!! Crust is very light with a good amount of chew, toppings are plentiful, & the cheese is very tasty!! It's a bit expensive for pizza and I don't get the whole outfit thing, but all-in-all a good experience.

The salads were delicious. Fresh, tasty mixed greens and flavorful dressing. The pizzas were exceptional. Traditional Neopolitan style baked in a wood-fired oven. Of the sixteen different types, we tried: Margherita, Four Cheese, Grilled Vegetable, Lemon, and Corn. All were perfectly executed with fresh ingredients and inventive flavor profiles. We also tried the Balsamic Pasta which was amazing. They have an extensive beer and wine selection with pairing suggestions on the menu. The Prohibition theme is fun and friendly (and tastefully done). The location along the riverwalk is fabulous. When we come back we will have a dilemma: get the same again or try the rest of the menu? We look forward to both!

I am updating my review because I have revisited Prohibition many times since my first review. I have to admit that I am now a fan. In fact, it has become one of my favorite places to dine in Sheboygan. Maybe my first experience was an off night because every visit since then has been very good! The pizzas are great. I love some of their new appetizers. I have tried a few of their pasta dishes and they are all very good. We have had the same server a couple of times and he (Alex) is excellent and very personable. The owner has, without fail, approached our table and asked how our meal is. Glad we gave this place another chance.

To start off the Host is rude. Outside seating is limited. Interior has a prohibition bar atmosphere. Pizzas take awhile, and despite the gourmet sounding flavors, it was just ok. Seemed to be a good place perhaps for couples later in the evening.

Nice spot with good food and friendly service dressed in period attire. Antipasti plate had good variety and great bread came with it. Tried three pizzas - all good, but sausage and leek was a little soggy. Pasta also good. Kid friendly. Nice deck outside.

Went here with a reservation and was left standing in a packed crowd arm to arm for 45 mins. But food wise expect out of comfort stuff so anything you order is like a shot in the dark. If you play your cards right you get a very good high end meal!

Would have liked to write a review about how the food was at this establishment but ended up leaving after poor treatment from the host. I can only assume why we were treated with such disrespect but it all began as we entered the restaurant and given a look of disgust, for having a 5 year old in tow; for being a young looking couple (37 & 38) don't know. We certainly were not dressed inappropriately (jeans and button down) as patrons who exited as we entered were dressed very casually (shorts and t-shirts). After greeting us the host proceeded to have a lengthy conversation with an older couple also waiting to be seated which is fine but when they offered to the host to seat us first the host response was "that's okay, you were here first, besides they don't mind waiting. They are young." He went further to offer us a seat outside despite a temperature in the mid fifties. We were not welcome and the host did an excellent job letting us know. Needless to say I do not recommend this restaurant. If you're in Sheboygan and looking for some good pizza Il Ritrovo offers better food in a classier setting (no mannequins dressed up in prohibition era clothing) and is family friendly.

Went here on a Sunday evening for dinner. Staff was friendly and attentive, owner visited each table at least once. Wood-fired pizza was great. Many different topping choices available. Also had a nice beer selection, some local and some from all over the world. Also had a tomato/mozzarella appetizer that was good. Even bought some of their cool glasses at only $2 each! I'd go back next time I'm in the area.

Pizza

Pizza is a famous Italian dish savored around the world. The entire credit for the popularity of Pizza in the United States goes to the chain of pizzerias all over the country. While the base and the texture of Pizza remains same across the globe, it's the toppings that differs from country to country. In the United States, you will find the top pizzerias serving pizzas with the toppings of mainly beef, bacon, chicken, ham, and sausage for the non-vegetarians. Other than these famous meat options, Pizzas with veg toppings such as mushrooms, pepperonis, garlic, tomatoes, spinach, etc. are also famous in most restaurants in the United States.

Irrespective of your locality, you will find a variety of different restaurants in your cities offering pizzas of all different types. Pizza is hot favorite among people of all ages in the United States. A large size pizza is enough to feed a family of 3 or 4 at large. Pizza is also the most preferred food whenever a group of friends is hanging out together. Pizza gained popularity in the United States after the American soldiers stationed in Italy returned from World War II.

Over the years, different pizzerias in the United States have developed their own respective regional variations. Pizza gained popularity as the iconic dish in the United States in the second half of the 20th century. Whether you prefer thin or thick crust pizza, you can find a pizza of your preference at the best pizza restaurants in your city.

Italian Cuisine

The immense popularity of Italian cuisine globally isn't unknown. You can find an Italian Pizzeria around every corner of almost every city in the United States. Not to forget that in every house, people enjoy mac and cheese as comfort food. But it would be wrong to believe that Italian food starts with pizza and ends with good pasta as this Mediterranean country has much more to offer other than these two dishes. In Italian Cuisine, there is a high use of fresh tomatoes, all kinds of herbs, great quality of cheese, all types of meat, seafood and fresh handmade pasta. Many find it hard to believe that Italians have been making noodles long back.

Italian and Greek cuisines are always mistaken to be same, but they are poles apart. The primary difference between the two cuisines is the use of cheese in most of the Italian dishes. Italians love to cultivate their own cheese and process them as per their food requirement. It is believed that some cheese is so expensive that cheese producers secure them in lockers.

If you are bored eating the same old pasta or pizza, you can try some of the authentic Italian dishes like Risotto, Polenta, Ribollita, Lasagna, Fiorentina Steak, Bottarga, Ossobuco, Carbonara, Focaccia, Arancini and Supplì. Another item which Italians love to relish every morning is a good cup of Italian Coffee. Once you taste a freshly brewed cup of Italian Coffee, you might not visit Starbucks ever again. Authentic Italian food is made with heart and soul, so go find a restaurant where you can relish Italian cuisine in your city.
