Killer pizza, awesome Old Fashioneds, friendly bartenders... what more could you ask for in the heart of the northwoods/middle of freaking nowhere? Seriously. We spent the weekend camping but wanted to catch the Packers stomp the Seahawks, so off to the Sayner Pub we went this past Sunday night. Pleasantly surprised and then some with the decor and vibe of the place, the food, and the whole experience in general. Had a blast, ate some awesome 'za (sauce = somewhat sweet, totally dig!) and will definitely return, because I love it up there, you guys.

Wings were great. Atmosphere good inside. Druggies outside were a tad annoying. Especially the girl that was showing off her boobs in the parking lot. I'm not a prude but we could have done without that.

Their food is pretty good, and the service is almost always excellent. They have their Sayner Pub Ale, which is a great beer at a great price. If you like HOT Buffalo Wings, order the 10's...and several glasses of milk. These things are HOT!

Friendly people, good food, huge bloody Mary's. FYI- be careful of the hot scale on the wings! 5 is plenty hot!

Visited here twice during a recent stay in the area. Was there for taco night Tuesday night..they were huge and delicious. Friday night had their fish fry and was not let down. Great food..service could be a little friendlier.

Really good pizza, chicken and sandwiches. Service is good and restaurant is always clean. We ordered cheese pizza and some of the broiled chicken all of which were really good. Been coming here for years and the menu has a lot of variety so everyone will be happy.

This is a good choice while up north. My daughter loved their duck tenders. Their pizza is good although the sauce was a bit sweet. Good stop if you're in the area.

Interesting interesting little place... In the end of September I took my first trip to Wisconsin. Was there for a nice outdoor wedding in Wausau and then the following day headed north. After an amazing short bike ride through the changing leaves, my girlfriend, her mom and myself ended up at Sayner Pub. This is a quaint little town with deer in some of the local yards and Sayner Pub appeared the place to be. We stepped in and sat at the bar. Each ordered a few pints of Wisconsin's local ales and enjoyed some of the local artist work and various wildlife mounts inside the place. This was not a hopping afternoon for the pub, but everyone there was friendly and happy. I cant attest to the food, but it smelled good. If you find yourself in Sayner (camping or just a pit-stop), I'd suggest stopping in. After all, I hear its a pretty good site at the end of the trail to find first love...

We go camping in the area outside Sayner and usually save a trip there for a rainy evening for dinner. The Sayner Pub is our usual destination. The pizza is always good and the staff is very friendly and attentive. I've never had a bad or even so-so experience there. The food is mostly sandwiches and pizza so don't expect anything too fancy. That said, it will be hard to find something you and your whole family won't like.

This place WOW'd me!! We stopped in to watch the Packer game and I ordered up a Bloody Mary. The BM came in a 12" high glass mug loaded with, a meat Slim Jim, huge stalk of celery, pickled mushroom, Brussels sprout, pepperoncini, pickle. It was a meal in itself. The beer chaser came in a 3" tall shot glass. Take a look at the picture I uploaded and you can see what I mean. We also had a sampler plate of mushrooms, onion rings, cauliflower, chicken nuggets. It was awesome. The Packers kicked butt and it was a great experience to be there and enjoy the game with the crowd of locals. There must have been 8-48" TV's hanging on the wall, so it was easy from any location to view the game. We're going to try the pizza and/or a sandwich next time we stop in.

Great pub. Went twice -- once for pizza and once for Friday fish fry. Both meals were great. Atmosphere is exactly what you would expect in this neck of the woods. $5 a beer seemed a little steep, but I really enjoyed the $8 22oz bloody mary.

Came here for the first time after being up in the Northwoods for the past 10 years. Had one of the most memorable meals in a long time! Ordered the blackened fish, potato pancakes, cole slaw and also ordered the clam chowder. Everything was seasoned well and enjoyable. I also had a bourbon sweet old fashioned which was extremely tasty. One of the best I've had.

I had the cheese and pepperoni pizza here. Pretty delicious, but nothing too extraordinary. When I come back to Vilas County for vacation my family and I will probably return.

The Sayner Pub serves pub food (of course) and does a good job. Pizza is very good. Burgers combos are pricey but you will not leave hungry. Lots of seating if you don't want to sit at the bar. Famous for the bloody mary.

I stop in Sayner at least once a summer to shop; today was the first time I have had lunch here. Nice, Northwoodsy feel, 2 TV's and a nice bar area greet you on entry. We enjoyed pulled pork and chicken salad sandwiches along with yummy salad sides. Service was quick and friendly. I'll stop in here again for a meal; you should, too, if in the area.

This place is more than just great pizza (although the pizza is outstanding). We vacation up here once/year and eat here 3 times during the week. The bloody Marys are to die for and a total must. Best fish fry in the area! (I recommend the blackend) great atmosphere for kids too. A no-frills place with great food and fast service.
