Great spot hidden away in Saukville. Reasonable prices, large portions of good breakfast food and as unpretentious as it gets...

The food was good with the exception of the corned beef hash. I know some people like the canned corned beef thats mushy but it just doesn't do it for me. I prefer large chunks of corned beef in the hash with some nice crispy texture. Other than though the rest was great! I ordered my eggs over easy and they came out perfectly, cooked just enough that i could move them to my toast yet nice and golden runny yolk when taking that first bite. I always get a little in my beard but its sooo good lol. The bacon was delicious as well, nice thick cut that was crispy yet still juicy from the fat on it from a local source in port washington. The portions were hearty and the service was good. The cofee was really good too. A lot of regulars. I don't care for the only cash thing but if it helps to keep the prices down and fair so be it. Definitely will be back!

This place is great. I am from CT and was visiting new family in Wisconsin. It was a bit of a shock to see two eggs and hash browns (like a potato pancake) for $1.50. I live in NYC now and wish I could find a granola bar for that price. Anyway the food is awesome, some of the best breakfast I have ever had. The cook looked like one of the owners. She was very talented. She moved at a consistent pace and prepared every dish with precision. Over the course of three days, I tried the french toast, eggs, bacon, sausage, and the amazing hash browns. If you are in the area, this is a great place to grab breakfast. I was not able to eat lunch there, but I am sure it is good. My only complaint is the lack of a fresh fruit salad. The waitress actually laughed at me when I asked and said that it was too expensive to store fresh fruit. So 4 not 5 stars. Also, as I am not from the area, the local patrons immediately looked at me and my family when we entered. They gave us a look that said, "What are you doing here?" The folks are nice though and they make you feel at home. Make sure you have cash, but not too much because the place is dirt cheep.

Made the trip over for breakfast as the reviews look pretty good. Great local diner. Prices have gone up a bit from the earlier reviews but still reasonable. Bacon is from Bernies in Port Washington (excellent thick cut bacon, superbly smoked) berniesfinemeats.com . They have home made bread for toast and the hash browns were excellent. I ordered them crispy and they were perfectly cooked. I don't think they were frozen (pre-cooked perhaps). Note - my wife ordered a veggie omelet which I would rate 3 stars. Canned mushrooms and uncored tomatoes made it fairly average (nice size however). The pancakes and Eggs Benedict looked excellent at other tables. I'll try them next time. Coffee was good and service was excellent. Even though they left us a small pot of coffee, the server still came by a couple of times to check on us. Polite.. All in all a great example of a small town diner done right. A good solid 4 star breakfast stop. I'll be be back. Recommended for breakfast. As noted by other Yelpers, cash only, no credit cards.

the food was great and portions were generous, which I always appreciate! everybody was satisfied with their food. I just wished they used real cheese on their omelettes. you can tell it's the kraft/pasteurized kind. maybe, I'll try something else next time...although the omelette was yummy minus the kraft cheese.

Typical "greasy spoon" type of diner, but with good food. We have been there many times, but only for breakfast. Their bacon is really good along with their potato pancakes. Prices are decent. The service is friendly and they are kid friendly. My only knocks are: you better get there before 8:45am on the weekends or you'll be waiting since it is small, and they only take cash.

What a neat place!! Waitress was very friendly and felt quite welcome the moment I sat down. I ordered a patty melt & fries. Patty melt was juicy and well made, it was just served on a regular piece of bread, could of spruced it up a bit, but all of the flavors were there in the patty melt. Bunch of people around me were ordering Breakfast and it looked amazing. Great little diner.

Great selection, huge portions. The best eggs benedict around.
