I don't go to Ripon often, but I will definitely be making this my first stop when I'm in town. The inside is brightly lit, and has an extensive bar with some really surprisingly varied beers in their selection. I haven't had Dogfish beer in ages, and they have it. That's worth a star right there. I ordered the Aloha sandwich, which was perfectly portioned and delicious. My friends all enjoyed their orders too, and nobody had a single complaint. We originally were going to stay just for a meal, but we ended up talking to the bartender and staying for hours. You just can't beat that kind of service and friendly attitude. Not only was he friendly and attentive, he offered to make us specials, and if we didn't like them, he'd make us something new, on him. We never were able to take him up on that offer, since everything he served up was fantastic. I never thought one of my favorite old fashions would be from a pizza/restaurant joint in Ripon Wisconsin, but life is strange sometimes. There's plenty of room for large groups, and an upstairs area with a bar as well, so no matter what you're intown for, a quick meal, or an event, they can cater to whatever you need. This is exactly the place to get a start on your night, and put you in a good mood before you go out. I'm not in town often, but I will be going back to Roadhouse when I am.

Roadhouse Pizza is reasonably priced and the staff all had smiles as well as being polite and friendly. The pizzas all arrived at the same time despite we ordered 6 different pizzas for 9 adults/kids. The upstairs bartender was very accommodating to refilling the kids drinks rather than waiting for a waiter/waitress. Place was packed yet the service was speedy and efficient.

I made a large carryout order at Roadhouse Pizza while visiting family in Ripon, so this review is focuses more on the food than the dining environment or the level of service. While the food quality had its high points and low points, portion sizes were generous and we fed our group of eight for less than $50. Since this is a pizza joint, let's talk 'za. If you enjoy a crispy crust, you definitely appreciate the crunchy cracker-thin crust served at Roadhouse. Despite an overly generous dose of tomato sauce, the crust in the interior of the pie maintained its crunch. The crust did not provide much flavor - it could have benefitted from a little more browning. The dull, thick tomato sauce slathered on the pizza overwhelmed the thin crust and toppings - there needs to be better balance between the sauce, crust and toppings. The sauce lacked an element of brightness, tasting more like heavily season tomato paste than fresh tomatoes. Roadhouse was a little stingy with the quantity of toppings with this order, with a light application of cheese and sausage. Unlike the sauce, the sausage needed a heavier hand with the seasoning. The cheese quality was above average from a flavor and stinginess standpoint. Though far from perfect, Roadhouse still provides the best pizza in town. Roadhouse is more than just pizza - they offer a full menu of appetizers, burgers and sandwiches. My sister-in-law enjoyed her juicy bacon cheeseburger on a lightly toasted bun. The only negative was the limp, thinly cut slice of bacon - a thick slice of crispy bacon would have made this burger truly special. The quality of my daughter's grilled cheese sandwich was disappointing with a slab of American cheese between a couple slices of grocery-store white bread. This is the heart of America's Dairyland; the kitchen can do better than this uninspired effort. The fried appetizers were typical freezer to fryer fare, but were well prepared. The mozzarella sticks had the right batter to cheese ratio and the broccoli bites, a breaded concoction of cheese whiz and broccoli, brought on a wave of nostalgia for my mom's broccoli casserole. Other than an error on my brother's grinder sandwich (it came with mushrooms instead of bacon he wanted), the ordering process went smoothly and our order was waiting for us when we arrived to pick it up. Despite the occasional misstep with their food quality, Roadhouse still offers a good value to its customers.

I adore this place. Pizza is always awesome, cheese curds are incredible. Their dipping sauce for the curds is pretty great too; it's some sort of barbecue sauce mix but it's delicious! We are so lucky to have this place in such a small town!

Roadhouse has been a staple of Ripon since the 80's, and has evolved in to much more than a pizza place in the last few years after it was renovated. Don't miss the Hoagie or salads, and enjoy the excellent bar with craft brews on tap. Great outside seating upstairs or out front.

Very good pizza. The atmosphere of Roadhouse is fun and open although the music can be a bit loud. They have just about more pizza options than any other place I have been to in the local area.

Been going here since I was little. Liked it better when it was smaller and homier before the remodel, but the food is still just as good, even with the new atmosphere. Hands down the best turkey bacon club sandwich I will ever have. Their pizzas are pretty darn good as well.

Made the drive to Ripon to see Scott Nicol (Scottish musician/songwriter) play a small solo gig here. Caught him the other night at the Brink in Madison and wanted to see him before he flew back across the pond. + Great venue/space - very open and airy, bright + Plenty of seating - huge bar area, tons of tables and booths + Upstairs is available to rent out for private events (or so I'm told) + I believe the proper ordering protocol is to order at the front counter right when you walk-in, then they deliver it to the table of your choosing. We sat at the bar, where we ordered directly from one of the two friendly and helpful bartenders. + Fairly straightforward menu - heavy on appetizer options - Cheese puffs that I had read much about were nothing more than typical "brown bag pre-made" cheese curds + The curds were cooked well + Fried pickle spears were tasty, expertly breaded and perfectly fried + Spicy garlic chicken wings were crispy, nicely dressed, and tasty, if not a bit on the salty side. I suspect that's a consequence of the sauce and/or the presence of a brine(?) - I only had a few so I couldn't really tell - The ranch dipping sauce was quite gluey + Aloha pizza + tomatoes + jalapeño was decent. Featured a thicker, saltine-style crust with just a light char. Sauce was a bit acidic and fairly heavily seasoned - I liked it; others didn't quite as much as I did. Light cheese, fresh canadian bacon, and just the right amount of pineapple, cherry tomatoes, and jalapeños. It was a bargain at $12.77 for what was a very generously sized medium pie. + Decent drink selections - Tap lines tasted off; my Shiner Black Lager had a foul taste to it (perhaps dirty?) + Bottled beers were unique, reasonable, and tasty + Staff was excellent the entire time It's not artisan-style pizza, but for a small place in Ripon, it's pretty solid. If I were to revisit, I wouldn't hesitate to drop by again.

For a small town pizza joint this place had some interesting and out of the ordinary topping choices. We tried the Radiccio parmesan pizza that included parsnip (I did say out of the ordinary) and caramelized shallots. The crust was very crisp, which I really like. There was also balsamic in the pizza. Overall good flavor but the parmesan could have been more thinly shaved and the balsamic was a bit heavy. Drinks seemed crazy cheap and the bartender was on the ball with service. The atmosphere as casual, clean and I'm sure we will be back.

Great little downtown pizza joint..... Wonderful thin crust (with a crackly crunch!) and great service. Perfect for a family gathering or an intimate date. Xo

Everything is good. The sloppy Joe's are amazing. The chicken parm sub was awesome. The pizza looks great. It would be nice with the name of roadhouse that there could be a Patrick Swayze look-alike there that could kick people in the face if it ever got rowdy.

Recently had pizza from this place. It was very good. Right amount of sauce, delicious sausage, correctly done crust. I would have to try a few more of their pies to say that they are a five star but my guess is, they probably are. Our pie was 15 dollars which was cheap for what we got. Loved it. Went back. Have to lower them a star. Didn't care for some of the staff attitude. Somewhat detached. The crust was not as good as last time. Still ok. Toppings didn't have the awesome goodness of the last visit. Needed more quantity on the toppings. I think they have started to cut back.

Used to be smaller and more intimate. Now it's received a modern makeover and expansion. The prices have naturally inflated with the dollar so no complaint there. The quality of the original is still here.

This place underwent serious renovations, and looks like a totally different restaurant now. Luckily, the recipes for the food stayed the same. The new bar is great and carries a wide variety of beers. Great place to hang out.

I'm scared every time I walk in this place. No, the staff aren't horrific and the food is all good, but what is up with that messed up witch or troll painting!? Gives me the heebie-jeebies always. And the down stairs bathroom? I swear somebody is going to pop out of the stall wearing a scream mask and stab me into pieces! But I'm kind of a wuss, I'll admit. But even if you're a wuss like me you still need to eat here (or maybe just takeout?) for the food itself. This place is basically run by college students and has that appeal going for it. The pizza is thin crust and is fantastic -- oh, and make sure you get double cheese. The sandwiches are huge and just as good as the pizza, and the cheese puffs and sauce.. the best. Aside from the scary witch whom haunts my dreams and a bathroom reminiscent of a horror flick's opening killing scene, this place is absolutely top notch. Must go-to if you're in Ripon.

I've been making the Chicago, Green Lake trek since I was a kid with my family and we would stop and grab a bite to eat at the Roadhouse on our way in. Over the years we always looked forward to talking to the owners and seeing the craziest interior in a restaurant we've every seen. Regardless how this place used to look they always had some of the best pizza we've ever eaten. Roadhouse went thru some major changes with a new owner and face lift and it appears that they've kept the orginal pizza and sandwiches recipes which made us all very happy. I like that the new owner even found a way to incorporate the old troll artwork into the new and improved restaurant. Thumbs up all away around now that the new owner has actually invested money into the business. However I'll always remember the original Roadhouse with Larry and the black and red checkerboard drop ceiling and the downstairs bathrooms.

I love this place excellent Pizza and they have really good sandwiches. If you go to Ripon College and bring your student ID they give you a 10% discount. Defiantly check it out! The food is great and the staff is friendly!
