The Crimson Cafe was like an oasis in a desert of fast food joints, pizza places and bars. The menu had all delicious options, but you could just order a plain old grilled cheese too. Many vegetarian options which made us happy! The inside of the Cafe was super cute and the little store attached was nice to peruse through as you waited for your food. So grateful to have yelp and other people's reviews. Without them, we would have never found this local haunt.

I have been to the Crimson Cafe a couple times now, and it has been a good option for when I travel over to Rhinelander for shopping. There aren't very many cool places in town to eat, and this one certainly fills the bill for cool! I am very happy that there are some vegetarian options, I have had the veggie panini and today I had the hummus and red pepper wrap. It is a pretty small menu, but the food they serve is super fresh and tasty. I had the iced mocha, and it was perfectly garnished with whip and chocolate drizzle! We sat outside in their little courtyard in the back and it was a delightful experience. The inside is a series of small rooms where you will find the gift shop and the indoor restaurant seating. I had an excellent meal and very good service. I very much enjoyed the Crimson Cafe again!

I have driven by so many times; while in town today with my sis and bro in law, we stopped for lunch. Really cool house with a decent amount of indoor seating; also had maybe 5-6 outdoor tables in the back. My sis had the tuna pannini and my BIL and I had the chicken salad croissant. That chicken salad was some of the best I have ever had; lots of grapes, mandarin oranges and pineapple in it with a lovely lemon poppyseed dressing. $8 for a sandwich with chips not too hard on the budget. Iced tea had a raspberry flavor to it; would have liked to have informed of this before ordering. Parking also very minimal; we parked on one of the side streets and it was fine. Also has a small gift area. Give it a try!

Weary traveler coming through Rhinelander-which is quite the interesting town might I add-saw this place on yelp and decided to give it a shot. Really cool and quaint cafe, you'd think it was someone's house but they restored it to this beautiful cafe. The kitchen is now well the kitchen and the dining room is well the dining room. There's also an entertaining gift shop attached. Anyone coming through town ought to check this place out, very local and damn it is the food good.

I didn't get a chance to try the food...while I was waiting for our table one of the servers asked me to stay "tucked back" in the very crowded entry way (where they also have merchandise for sale). I told her I thought that was a rude thing to say. One of the other servers turned around, smiled and said "I'm sorry?" To which the server replied "she thinks it's a strange thing to ask" All I'm going to say is I'm not going to stand in the middle of their preciously small space and block people. And lastly, throw a "please" in there lady! We left.

This is a cozy, out of the beaten path cafe, serving a unique gourmet selection of soups, salads and sandwiches. We highly recommend their fig and honey with Black Forest ham sandwich, it is a quintessential culinary experience! Love coffee but want it healthy? Try the Paleo latte, made with coconut milk and organic honey!! And if you're more into yummy try the Toasted Marshmallow latte!!

This is THE place for a tasty lunch. Salads in summer are inventive and fresh. Soups in fall and winter are delicious. The atmosphere is cozy and warm and there's a little gift ship on site . Parking is a challenge

This is my favorite place to grab a latte in the morning. It's totally prosaic to say, but their pumpkin pie latte is delicious and definitely something to look forward to when the weather turns cold in the fall. They also have an excellent selection of fresh salads, sandwiches, and soups. It's my go-to lunch place for a satisfying and tasty meal made with fresh ingredients. If I had one gripe, it's that I wish they were open for dinner!

What a little gem! Adorable place with coffee and delicious and fresh food! We sat outside on their cute patio with the sunshine and some Italian soda. (I had the peach vanilla and it was SO refreshing) The turkey, apple and brie panini was on point!
