Diabetics at TGI Friday

If you're a diabetic, then you must be extra careful while dining at TGI Friday. Try the salad menu at TGI Friday to keep your sugar and sodium intake in check. Soups are great to keep you full and satisfied without munching on the unhealthy greased meat-based dishes on TGI Friday menu.

Foods to Avoid at TGI Friday for Diabetics:

OMG...what a horrid experience! Ate there a few days ago. Food was just so-so as usual. The vegetable of the day is always unappetizing giant hunks of overgrown soggy, woody carrots. The smelt was so small that I could not distinguish the pieces from the French fries. They used to have nice sized smelt. I think they are cutting them into thin strips now to make them look like more. The real kicker came when they served the bread. I buttered and ate a piece before discovering that the crust on the other pieces were BLUE....moldy! I ate moldy bread! How disgusting. No more Friendship House for me. We now have the Riverview, Tula's, and the Sportsman at the Claridge...along with the Chinese and Mexican places.

I've been here many times. The best meal when you are hungover haha. Friendship house is a great well priced meal. I've only had breakfast here and never had a bad experience. I have heard a few sketchy things about some of the wait staff from different reliable sources though.

I've eaten breakfast here twice, both times had delicious omelettes that were blessedly just eggs, without the addition of pancake batter or baking soda to fluff them up. The veggie omelette arrived with a delicious side of bacon cooked to perfection and yummy fresh fruit, all in just-right portions. Traditional neighborhood sort of place, will definitely be back next time I'm in town!

We had brunch here on 8-25-13, Most of us went with breakfast but when we saw the lunches coming out we almost wish we had gone with lunch. The only complaint was the potatoes. Everybody left them on the plate. Frozen or processed taste or bad cooking oil. The rest of the food was very good.

The food is pretty good, the menu is expansive but not ridiculously so, the staff is very attentive and friendly, and their prices are quite reasonable. My family and I particularly like this restaurant for their breakfast as local options are geared more toward the dinner crowd. My only real complaint was the lack of booster seats. They had high-chairs, but no boosters; at least the last time we went. Overall, it's good enough that I find myself thinking, why don't we go there more often?

This is by far my favorite restaurant in Rhinelander. The owner of this place is a genius. He waited until the bypass was finished to purchase the ex-wendys and when it opened it exploded. I will tell you about the 2nd time i visited this place. The owner (Tony) remembered we were there before. He said thanks for coming back and we informally met him. The next time we came in for breakfast Tony was pouring coffee and he saw us walk in and walked directly over to my family and shook our hands and recalled our names. This place is great, the staff is friendly the food is good. I literally have nothing bad to say about it. Breakfast is their best meal although they have a lot of really good specials for dinner such as AYCE ribs and chicken. The menu is enormous and i like that about it, most places in Rhinelander have a very weak menu.

Great food and excellent service. Had lunch here and had the chefs salad. Loaded with lots of turkey, ham, cheese and boiled eggs, with just enough of everything else you'd expect. Service was very good also, and we didn't have to wait too long for anything. The restaurant and restrooms are also kept very clean . I highly recommend it.

One word for this place......"community". I felt such a sense of family and community when I first came to this place three years ago. Since then, my family has made it a weekly tradition. It's just "thee place" to go when its your birthday and you want to be sung to, or if you are with a big group and everyone wants something different, or if you are entertaining out-of-town guests, or family, and you want to give them a sense of Northwoods community. The menu is huge and its all good. You won't ever have an empty coffee cup. The pancakes are super Yummy.

Great, what you always hope for when you are looking for breakfast on the road. Quality food, fast, we have been here twice and as impressed the second time as the first. Homemade biscuits and gravy, wonderful omelets, blintz, I mean how often do you see blintz on a menu these days? Prices are reasonable. Need to get a piece of pie!

Great Omelet, and my kids absolutely loved it. It was quite busy on a Saturday morning, but the wait is never too long and the food is worth it.

About TGI Friday

TGI Friday is a casual dining American restaurant chain founded in 1965. The term “TGI” is an acronym for Thank God It's and together the name of the restaurant is often announced as Thank God It's Friday. Over the years of its existence, the TV commercials and other advertisement streams have also twisted the phrase a bit and used it as Thank Goodness It's Friday. The founder of the restaurant Alan Stillman lived in a New York-based neighbourhood full of a young crowd, especially girls from the airline and fashion industry. He started the first TGI Friday restaurant in New York in the hope of meeting single women as there weren't any such public place for young men and women to meet. He invested $5000 on his own and borrowed another $5000 from his mother to buy a bar named The Good Tavern and renamed the premise to Thank God It's Friday, inspired from an expression during his time at Bucknell University.
