I came here just to get a half pound of Antiqua, but I ended up staying for a hot cider. The interior is a bit worn out looking, but who cares? It's all about the Java, and they even roast their own. There are few coffee shops in the area, 2 in Racine and Kenosha combined, that don't say Starbucks. This one predates them all and is the only one who roasts the beans on site.

Traveling through Racine and very happy to find great Espresso, friendly and knowledgable Baristas and what appears to be a local hangout.

Undoubtedly, this place is a gem. They painstakingly roast their beans from the unique growing locations that span the globe. They roast in-shop, in view, and by hand (with the precise use of computer monitors and sensors to ensure proper temperature and the like, not to mention continual smelling of small samples taken from the machine as it roasts). I spoke with the roaster, and he told me about his personal relationship with one of the growers, where the grower gives him first dibs on the season's fresh crop. The bags of beans they sell are almost never more than a couple weeks old - you can often find beans that were roasted the day before, and usually you'll find beans that were roasted that week. I can't speak for the tea, but they offer great varieties. Their drip coffee on special is very rich and fresh. They also offer mostly any variety coffee you find for sale on the shelf to be freshly ground and brewed using a French press (if the full flavor and nuance of coffee is desired, this is probably my favorite route). They offer unique bakery items, which I suspect they make themselves. The candy and snacks they have for sale are very unique - they include things like imported candies and single-origin chocolates. If you need something relating to the manual brewing of coffee or tea, this is the place to go! They have it all. The staff is very friendly and accommodating and will recognize you as a regular.

Let's make this short and sweet so you can be sipping on your coffee sooner than you think. Wilson's Coffee & Tea is always hopping, but there's always a place to sit. Thankfully, there are communal tables, so if you don't mind making new friends, pull up a chair. When the weather is nice, they offer outdoor seating as well. Though there is always a place to sit, be conscious of the noise level. Wilson's has a friendly atmosphere, but it might not be your best bet for getting work done. If you are looking for a pastry, you can't go wrong with the Apricot Scone. Not to mention their Spice Apple Cider is literally to die for, just a whiff of it will make you weak in the knees.

If I lived here, this might be the only coffee shop I'd visit on the regular. I was drawn in by the 5 star average, its proximity to North Beach Park and the hours: open on a Sunday. Excellent find! I'd compare the quality of coffee to that of Hansa in Libertyville, and Wilson's chai is bar none, the best chai we (me and the hubs) have EVER had. They have their own blend, and bonus-- they sell it in jugs to take and make at home. We enjoyed our hot bevvies with a yummy orange chocolate chip scone, which they make there with an array of other desserts and pastries like cookies, muffins, cake and the like. There weren't many pics on Yelp so it looked smaller to me than it is. It's actually quite large and roomy, filled with tables and chairs throughout, as well as patio tables outside. You won't find plush couches or chairs but we were quite comfortable. And it's clean, I'd say immaculate. I don't want to go home to our smelly, hairy dogs, as a result. ;) It was quiet when we arrived, having just opened at 10:30, but within minutes, it was bustling and vibrant. The locals clearly know where the good stuff is. The staff was sweet as can be, very friendly, attentive and welcoming!

My go to for an Americano. My absolutely favorite is when they are roasting their beans. I love walking from my car to their front door on a cool day with the warm smell of beans roasting in the air. Stress level immediately plummets.

Great high quality coffee! I grew up in the area and always visit Wilson's coffee when I'm home. Nice atmosphere and wide variety of coffee. I try to keep my house on stock with Wilsons coffee.

Seriously one of the best coffeeshops I've ever been to, with the nicest people working there! I went there for the first time today (twice if I'm going to be honest!) and the second time I was there today, the guy behind the counter remembered me! Cannot recommend highly enough!

Wilson's is a local favorite. It's a cozy atmosphere with a laid back environment. It's a great place to go alone with a book or to meet with friends to chat. The drinks they serve are great and the staff are exceptionally nice! If they are busy, the service can take a bit longer than a Starbuck's, but then again they are a family owned, small business, so they rarely have more than 2 or 3 people working at a time. I really like this place and tend to stop in several times each month.

A great cozy coffeeshop in West Racine. There's few options in this area and their drinks and food are great. They also make their own chai blend, which is delicious. We've also purchased their hot chocolate for gifts before. They have bike racks in the front and there is street parking on Washington. The decor is a little boring and they close quite early (6pm on weekdays if I'm not mistaken) but in Racine you can't really have everything!

I seriously don't go to Wilson's enough. Every time I grab a mocha there, I am more then delighted. They are pure magic. They only place where I can find something as delicious would be in a coffee hut in the Pacific Northwest. Racine is truly lucky to have such an awesome coffee shop. They really know what they are doing and it shows.

Absolutely the best coffee! The customer service is always great. I usually get the black forest mocha with an extra sit if espresso. Definitely better than any other coffee shop including Starbucks!

Fave place -- comfy, friendly with great coffee and tea. It's a great place to chat with a friend, browse the tea equipment and see who's who in town. Love the free wi-fi too.

Best coffee place in town. So much better than any chain place I have ever gone. Always 5 stars

Ooooo man that's some strong coffee. Hot me some at ten in the morning after having to get up at five and survive a meeting without it. But whut whut! This coffee was worth waiting for! Love the little 8 oz cup cos that's what I got and it gave me a buzz to last a while as well. Just with the single scoop of espresso. They have some funky coffee options, would love to come back and try the black forest coffee and the garden harvest coffee. The place is super cute with lots of space, outdoor seating and pastel green color on the walls. Cute big teapots too and they have a long list of cool and exploratory teas. I need to come back and check them out. Just took a bite out of my ham and pastrami sammie which isn't that great but would be solved with mustard- which they give for free- and some toasting.

I do not get to stop by Wilson's as often as I would like, which is a great disappointment to me. Their hot chocolate is to die for, and I would assume their coffee is no different. Whenever I step into Wilson's, I feel like I've walked into a place where the community comes together over good drinks, especially in the winter months. I only have happy memories of Wilson's, which has been a great place for me to go with my grandparents and others to enjoy some time to talk. I feel as though Wilson's is a place that everyone can appreciate, especially with the community atmosphere.

The way coffee shops should always be: a community hang out, free wifi, and yes, good coffee roasted on sight. I discovered Wilson's when I moved to Racine three years ago, and hadn't set up my Internet at home yet. I came for the wifi, but kept coming back to meet friends, write sermons, and even do Saturday office hours on occasion. I will miss it as I move to NY!

5 stars says it all. This places roasts there own coffee and does it right. Great gift ideas, friendly staff, community gathering place. If only they were located downtown and had a bit more décor or theme . . . but overall, this is as good as it gets.

My absolute favorite. I love local coffee shops, and this one is by far my favorite local shop, here or anywhere else for that matter. They roast their own beans, and they are exceptional at doing so. The pastries are good as well - I am particularly fond of the "Morning Glory" muffins. I wish they had a place to sit outside and smoke, but that certainly will not stop me from going there (I know we are a "dying" breed, us coffee drinkers who love a cigarette with a good cup of Joe!). They get nothing but the highest marks from me!

Despite the distance from the highway, or especially from Milwaukee, my wife and I occasionally make the trip in because the coffee beans here are so exceptional. I honestly haven't spent that much time in the café, but beans are absolutely amazing. If you haven't made the trip to try some... well, I dunno what but something bad.

I visited Wilson's on a Saturday morning. The staff was warm and friendly. The place was filled with people enjoying their favorite drinks. Seating was available inside as well as outside. There are two inside seating areas, one by the windows looking out on the street and a second further inside the shop. There is an interesting variety of merchandise as well as a wide selection of coffee beans available for sale. Fresh coffee beans are roasted on site. The women's bathroom was bright and clean. Imported chocolates, sandwiches and pastry are also available.I had an enjoyable visit and would recommend this shop to others looking for a delicious cup of coffee or tea or somewhere to meet a friend and just hang out for awhile!

I live in CA. I used to live in WI. I still haven't found anything even close to Wilson's. They are that amazing. Truly, they are the gem of Racine, WI. I live in Wilson's when I am back in town. I order my coffee from them when in CA. It's that good! Seriously, have the coffee. Then a muffin. In the afternoon, stick around for some cake or pie and another cup o' coffee. I'm so not joking. Also, the teas. Well picked and the staff (or somebody on staff) will know something about it. Really knowledgable and able to help. Wilson's is the finest cafe that I have ever been into. One of the finest places in the world, for staff, quality, pricing, general feel, ambiance, seating, care, and personality. Ownership is unlike anything I can describe, the Wilson family as a whole should be given the key to the city, if not the State. If you haven't been into Wilson's... go. If you have... go back. Nothing bad can be said about Wilson's; it is owned and run with pride.

I love Wilson's! I grew up in Racine, and I always look forward to drinking Wilson's Coffee when I come home to visit. Their coffee is so spectacular, that I have it sent to my house in CA. The staff is friendly and knowledgable about their products, and I highly recommend their pastries! The atmosphere is perfect for casual socializing, reading, or getting work done. Best café ever!

So much better than Starbucks! Historic building but no pretensions. Just good old-fashioned service with a smile and great coffee, tea, Italian soda and more. I will be back - hope to see you there in the ample seating.

Ugh, I haven't had coffee this good in a while. A friend and I were passing through Racine, and we wanted coffee. A quick search on Yelp! finds this place, with a flawless 5-star average. This place is definitely a local's sort of place. It's comfortable and friendly and warm, and there's a roasting machine in plain view. There's quite a variety of beans you can buy in bags, plus plenty of Bodum products (french presses, pour overs, etc.) for the coffee enthusiasts. I got what I like to call a "fortified" Americano (3 shots of espresso). My friend ordered a cup of Dutch Windmill Cookie (or something like that), which wasn't on their menu. The barista gladly found some beans, ground them, and put them in a french press and gave my buddy a timer set to three minutes. It's quite an experience getting to press and pour a special blend that they didn't have on the menu. The baristas were friendly and my caffe Americano was stellar. Definitely a place to revisit and a strong recommendation to anyone who enjoys coffee in a casual setting. An even stronger recommendation to any coffee aficionados/enthusiasts.
