Food is so fresh and honest! Excellent coffee. Look for bakery just out of the oven every morning. Crepes are one of our favs! Also has a cute porch for relaxing sipping when the weather is nice.

Ha, if you're in Portage, Wisconsin AND looking to Yelp for some guidance, then this place is hands-down your best bet. The food is good and somebody took the time to think about the menu. Most places in town order a bunch of crap from the distributor and heat it up. This place is not one of them. If you live in town and haven't been there yet, you should probably go soon before that D-bag Richard Lynn figures out a way to ruin it.

Was in town for business and was taken here by a local. Le Croissant was a very nice, quaint place. We are always looking for places like this and I was not disappointed. We ordered the Grilled Cheese. This is not your moms grilled cheese sandwich. You can get it with ham or turkey (I got ham) and it comes with avocado, onions, cheese, tomatoes and fantastically thick bread. The sandwich was great. It was not slathered in butter and had a great crisp to the crust. You might think it is a heavy sandwich but it wasn't. It also comes with a side salad with vinaigrette. Fries are not served here and I actually like that. The salad left me with a sense of healthy eating even though the sandwich may not have been. My only complaint was the water was tap water and you could tell. Small town, I don't expect anything else. This is a place I would take my wife for a nice lunch during the fall as they have outdoor seating and you can get a view of the nice small downtown of Portage.

We were hosting a bridal shower in Portage and needed a venue for a party of 20. The staff at Le Croissant Bakery and Restaurant helped us coordinate a great luncheon. We were able to host the shower just after usual closing hours on a Saturday afternoon, so we had the cafe to ourselves. The luncheon buffet was perfect with a vegetarian sandwich options, a delicious Spicy Turkey on Foccacia, a mixed green salad and fruit "pizza" (watermelon slices with berries and shredded white chocolate on top). Thank you to all the staff at Le Croissant who helped us put together such a lovely shower.

Pretty dang good breakfast. Not you typical run of the mill foods all very fresh and gourmet. Was a little $$$ 2 adults 2 kids was about $50 but worth it. To bad I live so far away otherwise I would be back.

A great cup of tea- real tea in a pot-with real hot water. A great egg scramble and homage bread that was outstanding. Friendly service. Absolutely would visit again.

I rarely put up 5 stars, but this place deserves it. Excellent food, great service. They're a breakfast through lunch restaurant. My crepes were just outstanding and the bite I was able to nab from my daughter's French toast was equally yummy. Way more than you'd ever imagine from a small town in the middle of WI. Do yourself a favor, bypass Kwik Trip and get your morning fix here.

Feels like being back in Paris. Excellent food, very pleasant hometown feel and clean/new atmosphere. We'll done Le Croissant! They will do well here. Big city quality with small town service. All in all an excellent package. I'd recommend the chocolate croissant but then there wouldn't be any left for me.

This place has the best breakfast! The Eggs benedict are to die for, the omelets are awesome! I had the salmon omelet and it is so good! Great food and an awesome find for our family. I am only giving it four stars because the food is awesome but the service is awful! I received curdled cream for my coffee. Which is fine, that can happen anywhere, the problem I had was that my waitress argued with me that the cream was ok, when clearly it was curdling in my coffee. She was horribly rude. She brought me more cream and that curdled too. I gave up ordering more, but I pointed out to her that the cream she was serving was bad. I was only met with more rudeness. Then I was charged for the coffee! Rude staff! Awesome food. Maybe next time we should carry out.

Food is great. Prices are high for Portage but you are getting quality. I love to come here for brunch with my girlfriends. The staff could be friendlier. Their coffee is usually like warm so I don't order it. come here for food and you will be happy.
