Arby’s

Consistently good roast beef sandwiches. My husband stops there at least once a week. One caveat...eat the beef while it's hot. Once it cools, the superthin slices of beef dry out. Unfortunately, I am allergic to wheat, and there's very little on the menu that I can eat, so I don't eat there myself.
I probably have ordered from here at least twice a week since they opened back when I was in middle school. Hank Aaron owned the place when they first opened and his memorabilia was showcased in the dining area where you waited for your order. I usually get the Arby's mid sandwich which is just the right amount of meat. And a value size curly fries is usually enough to fill me up. Their Double Rueben, Philly cheese steak sandwich and when available fish sandwich are stellar as well.

Yummy Bones

Reviews:
Well, I have to tell you. I was expecting it to be decent, given the other reviews on here. But what I received for my carryout went above and beyond. I'm a retired chef, so I know a little bit about what food should be about when done correctly. I ordered a full rack of baby back ribs, one of my favorite things with which to treat myself. I ordered a full rack, because in most restaurants, baby back ribs consist of just meat between the bones, with very little if any on top. NOT HERE FOLKS! I was shocked. Not only was the full rack huge, but the meat over the bone on the loin side was about an inch and a half thick! Meaty, juicy, tender. Needless to say my take home meal turned into 2, with a snack still left over after that. I will never buy ribs at the grocery store again. It's actually cheaper, more convenient, and a whole lot faster from here. As was mentioned, sauce is on the side, which I really liked. Also, pretty darn tasty. There are so many restaurants that put so much on, I end up scraping a bunch off, usually to find that they're hiding an inferior product underneath. I can't wait to try some of their other items. Kudos! I'll be back.
OK I've been traveling for about 2.5 years for work, and have been using yelp to find the best restaurants the whole time, but have never written a review before now. I figured I'll start with this one. This is a relatively new restaurant in the PW downtown strip. I got the sampler platter which came with St. Louis style ribs, chicken wings, two sliders, and two sides. I got the jalapeño-cilantro cole slaw and the baked beans. All this for around 20$. The meat is served dry (how BBQ should be) and comes with sauce on the side. The coleslaw was more bland than I expected but still was OK. The beans were great. The food is delicious and the owners (?)/workers were very nice and pleasant to talk to. I will be coming back here with colleagues when we are back in town.
Wow, talk about the art of BBQ delivered into straight up perfection for you to savor while it lasts! We absolutely loved the ribs (St Louis and Baby Back) with a rub to cherish with just the right amount of char with tender juicy meat that falls off just right. The kids loved the burgers too and we agree with their delight with what they were willing to share. Sides are great too, loved the jalapeño cole slaw. Will be back every chance we are back in Port. Don't miss this hidden gem.

John’s Pizzaria

Reviews:
This is my absolute favorite pizza place in Port Washington! And, one of my favorite pizza places, in general. Hands down, I recommend their chismo - cheese, sausage, mushroom and onion. It is so so so good! And, there is no need for extra anything (cheese, toppings, sauce). They put just the right amount of everything on it. It's a thin crust. Not super thin, but definitely not a thick crust. Whether you are eating in or carrying out, be prepared to wait. I've carried out several times, and more often than not, it takes longer than they say. I'm not talking a couple minutes. I'm talking 15+ minutes. I have only eaten in once. However, there was a fairly long wait for the pizza. Much longer than other typical pizza place, from my past experience. Don't let the wait deter you from trying out this place. Just be prepared to wait for some awesomeness that is John's pizza.
If you are looking for a pizza in Port Washington, John's is the place to go. Their pizza is always amazing! My wife and I often order carry out, and have never had a bad pizza from John's. They also have a heart stopping garlic cheese bread that is top notch. I highly recommend a John's pizza to everyone!!
Best Pizza in town!! Locally owned. One of my personal favorites. I'm trying to think of my favorite but I've never had a bad one. The garlic bread is also outstanding. Give it a try, you won't be disappointed.

Best lamb I have ever had in my life, ive had lamb in different countries and presentations, this has to be the best Ive had! Highly recommend the Lamb Shank
I was pleasantly surprised! Our server, Linda, was delightful; very attentive and super nice! The French onion soup was some of the best we have ever had. delicious tapenade and bread were served before dinner and it was absolutely delicious. I would definitely recommend this restaurant! The only thing I would have changed was adding more flavor to the BBQ sauce on the ribs, otherwise fantastic!
Our first time at The Port Hotel. We loved it! The staff from check in to the restaurant was very friendly and helpful. The rooms are spacious, clean, and very nicely decorated. We had a room with the Kohler Water Haven shower which was very cool. We ate dinner at the restaurant. The food was excellent.

Dockside Deli

So I was in Port Washington for work, and noticed this little deli sitting in a strip mall right off the marina. The location could not be anymore picturesque. The interior is simple, pretty much exactly what you'd expect a deli to look like. The seating is good for singles and small groups. They're also seemed to be a basement area, but I have yet to explore it. The food was top notch. I've had a few sandwiches from there of the Italian heavy on the meat variety, and they've all been delicious. They're are plenty of sides (pasta, potato and another type of salad I've forgotten) and little snacks and desserts to go with your meal. The staff is friendly and respectful, and your food comes fast. This place is quickly becoming my go to lunch spot when in Port Washington.
The view was nice, the place was cute and clean. The food was ok. Ordered the turkey with harvatti and dill mayo. It just came with one thin price of lettuce and a heap of turkey and the cheese. The turkey seemed low end and the pickle was terrible...no chips or cole slaw. My bill was over $10.00 for the sandwich and a soda. Service was friendly but slow. The deserts looked yummy, perhaps that is what I should have ordered. On the bright side, I loved spending time with my friends!
This location is perfect for the view and patio. They have quite a variety of hot, cold, and grilled sandwiches along with soups and ice cream. The sourdough bread was really impressive. The turkey was good (and there was a generous portion) but the sandwich lacked anything else interesting. My sister was very happy with the chicken salad and my mother with her club sandwich (looked the best of the bunch.)

I know this place is a staple of downtown Port, but I can take it or leave it. The food isn't bad, but I could whip up something better at home in less time that I spent waiting for my food. It's a decent place to go if you don't feel like making breakfast. Really that's just it. It's not that I wouldn't recommend this place, it's just not the first place that would pop in my head when recommending this place to someone looking to go out to breakfast.
Good solid breakfast food. Definitely the kind of diner where the locals go and everyone knows each other. I'd come back!
Last time I visited Harry's I ordered the egg salad sandwich and was incredibly pleased. The restaurant is nothing fancy, but you can always expect a quality meal.

Schooner Pub

Reviews:
I hate leaving bad reviews. But this was such a negative experience and I needed to post. My fault for not reading the reviews before stepping foot inside. I flew in to Milwaukee and drove to Port Washington. I saw this charming pub and decided to give it a try. When I ordered the man working the bar was irritated and short. In mid-order he just turned around and walked away. A few minutes later he came back. The fried mushrooms and chicken nuggets were so overdone. I couldn't tell the difference between the two. Gross and disappointing. Never coming back again if I'm ever in town.
Perch Sandwich, Cheese Curds, Fries and a Beer! All taste great and cheap too! Grab a table on the patio or by the window and watch the boats come in! Great little places for lunch or dinner. Staff is extremely attentive.
There wasn't anything about Schooner's that blew me away. We walked in and the bartender immediately told us about that the daily special, which consisted of an 'awesome' chicken sandwich with chipotle sauce, chips, and a pickle. It sounded good so we pulled up a stool. Cut to the meal: the chicken sandwich tasted microwaved and the bartender proceeded to tell me that the chipotle sauce was from a good ole' Hellmann's. I have nothing against Hellmann's, but why couldn't he just let me pretend that the sauce was homemade at the bar? The chips that the sandwich came with were the same Jay's potato chips I've eaten at just about every barbeque throughout my existence. Everything tasted average at best, and I could have done better at home. This is disappointing when you drop $30 on two sandwiches and two beers. We ordered wings, which were surprisingly crispy...that was probably the best part of the meal. The only issue there was that the wings were an appetizer, but actually arrived after our sandwiches. There's another review on here about the service...I will say that the employees I encountered didn't have much of a filter. I really enjoy talking to local people behind the bar and love it when they're candid, but this experience just felt off. The beer selection was average at best too. There just wasn't anything memorable about Schooner's, as there are so many other places with better food for a better value. I won't return.

Reviews:
This place is terrible. I can assure you I will never be coming here again, and I suggest you do the same. It started out much as others have said with not being greeted or seated. We walk in, the bartender and 2 waitress who are sitting at the bar all blankly look at us. After a few seconds of this awkward stare down the bartender asks if she can help us. I said, "can we eat?" she said sure and sat us. Now the real fun begins. Our waitress was terrible. If there was a scale of bad waitress ratings, she would be below the worst one. I'm not going to call her out by name, but if anyone at The Patio cares enough to check, it was check #00253 on 4/24/15. She had no smile, no personality and appeared as if she was forced into service from the waitress slave trade. On top of that, she didn't know anything. The Patio has about 3 things on its menu. Burgers, wings, and pizza. You should pretty much be an expert at knowing that menu. Do the burgers come with fires? Simple question. One that should be known. She says "I don't know, I always have to check". Hmmm, as in you get this question often, yet still don't know? After waiting about 10 minutes for our drinks (and on a side note, this place was NOT busy) she said she dropped my straw and will be right back with another one... That took 10 more minutes. Finally we ordered our food. 2 burgers. One "Rodeo" medium well, and one "Chili" well. After what seemed like way to long to wait for a burger in a non crowded restaurant we got our food. The well chili burger was rare. Like mooing rare. We sent it back and had a new one made, which I will admit came out pretty fast. At that point I checked the Rodeo burger which did in fact look medium well. The more I ate into it though, the pinker it got. Half of it was rare. Say what you want about raw meat, it's not for me. I didn't even finish it. I couldn't. It was too disgusting. Being cooked probably wouldn't have helped however. The BBQ was like watery ketchup, rubber bacon, and greasy as can be. From what I hear about the Chili burger, it wasn't much better. So, go here, be your own judge. Just let me say I told you so.
This is a nice place. They have a large patio with ample seating and also a very large dining area which is good for crowds. The staff is friendly and the food and drinks are relatively inexpensive. Their food is ok, I've enjoyed everything I've ordered so far. However today, I went a little different route an ordered the Cajun Shrimp Wrap. It was the best thing I've had there yet! So delicious! And there was a lot of shrimp in the wrap! Definitely got your money's worth. I would recommend this place to anyone who is looking for a casual bite to eat. Mostly burgers and sandwiches. Some dinners available. Also pizzas and appetizers!
Great fish tacos and sweet potato fries on a fabulous summer evening. Highly recommended.

Love this place - in the summer on their patio listening to top rated bands is the place to be!
I was referred to this restaurant by our hotel Banquet Manager. He said that it was about 20 miles from our hotel. Now he did not have to refer us to a hotel that far away but he did. He knew we wanted to eat near Lake Michigan because our group had never seen the Lake. So off we went to Port Washington, the cutest little town. It reminded me of a city I spent my summers in. Anyways, back to the restaurant. It sits on the Lake Michigan Marina and is located so that you can see out to the marina and its beautiful lights and boat slips. The place is casual, the food is not pretentious. This place is just plain yummy seafood comfort food. As in my prior reviews I have to confess my distaste for seafood. One of my co-workers wanted a sea food restaurant since we were going to be on the lake. Several of my coworkers ordered the Bengali Shrimp. The shrimp were huge, bigger than Tiger Shrimp. They all raved about them. I had the French Onion soup which was absolutely freaking delicious. Then I had the pork medallions with Spatzle, but when my food arrived, they were not pork medallions. They were some sort of pork that shredded like a pot roast. They were delicious so I decided I didn't need to split hairs. The Spatzle was all buttery goodness. Our waitress was absolutely phenomenal and I had nothing to complain about. There were 7 of us and we all agreed that we loved this place.
Service was good and if you could sit outside it would have been nice. This was incredibly noisy and crowded inside . Terrible acoustics and tables shoved togethet and we could not see the view as bar was on the way! The perch sandwich was tasty Snd French fries were good. We had excellent service but I had Bengali shrimp that had no flavor and I only received 4 and gave one away as so bland . Cheese curds were fried too hard. Seafood chowder also lacked flavor tasted like chunky glue. My friend raved about his prime rib snd they did have horseradish. If you want to eat healthy ... Pick another restaurant! If you want to have conversation pick another restaurant . If you ate a 70 year old geezer sit at the bar and enjoy the drinks probably a good place for you
