Thank you Yelp brethren. You score for me again. Coming back from the north woods. Wante stop to catch the Badgers - Buckeyes game. Found this place. Mean no disrespect, but with a name like Mikeys I did not expect what we found. Great cocktail list and of course Point and Oso beer. Pretty amazing menu reasonably priced. Having a Rosemary-honey gin drink. Very good. Apples n mushrooms in a interesting broth with green onion and goat cheese. Very accommodating service and excellent bartenders. Looking forward to the capellini with lobster, shrimp and scallops. Great place!
Love this place!!! Huge portions for a reasonable price. Staff is always welcoming and friendly! Great food!
Good food, great prices, fantastic beer

Paradise Bar & Grill

I had the steak and shrimp and it was incredible. Extremely tender with loads of grilled vegetables.
The Paradise is better characterized as a ' Diner & Restaurant' than a 'Bar & Grill.' This family-owned restaurant has no bar, but they serve drinks with meals. This is one of the friendliest restaurants in the Stevens Point area. The servers go out of their way to greet you and make sure you have a good dining experience. The Paradise menu, like many family restaurants, has too many food items to choose from. During our midday visit, I ordered a southern breakfast with eggs, hash browns, biscuits, and gravy. Everything was good. Breakfast portions were generous. We also ordered the 'Plover Burger' which came with fries and standard burger accompaniments: lettuce, tomato, pickles, onion, and a 100 island-style sauce. It was delicious. Fries were hot and crispy. The restaurant's diner-inspired decor is clean, casual, and quaint. The big draw at this restaurant is the outdoor deck. I have the feeling that this is a great place for a burger and cocktail combo during summer evenings. The restaurant also boasts good Gyro plates, ribs, and Friday fish. I hope to explore these options later in the year -- when I can dine outdoors on their deck.
Came here for lunch with high expectations from the 4.5 star rating on here, but was disappointed. I had the Monte Cristo sandwich. Instead of thick French toast as stated in the menu, the bread was pretty much just cooked eggs. Not crispy in the least, and I could taste a hint of powdered sugar but there was none visible. It tasted fine and they season their French fries which is nice. My friend had one of the daily specials, veal parmesan. Again, tasted okay but not what was expected. The veal was served already cut up and several stray fettucine noodles were mixed in with the spaghetti. I would expect this level of carelessness from a restaurant with an average of 2 or 3 stars, not almost 5. Maybe breakfast is different but for lunch this place is nothing special.

Don't be fooled by the outside - looks like just another Starbucks. Cleanest and friendliest Starbucks I've been to, with one of the best seating areas I've seen. Incredibly friendly and quick baristas. The ambience here is amazing.
Very slow. Two groups of people got their drinks before me and I ordered before all of them. I am used to quick service at Starbucks and Moka in La Crosse.
This location is awesome! Very friendly staff and surprisingly fast service even when it is packed. They are super knowledgable about their menu and are great at recommending new drinks to try.

This location is consistently good at getting your order right. As it's in Plover, it's not as busy as the Point locations. There was an occasion when we asked for "as many hot and fire sauces as Taco Bell is allowed to provide" and they really came through for us. Pretty pleased with expectations of Taco Bell!

Dunkin’ Donuts

Reviews:
Location is easy to get to: It's actually connected to the gas station. I am NOT your normal coffee addict but I love Dunkin Donut coffee because it's smooth and flavorful. My favorite: small caramel coffee with 2 sugar and 2 cream. It's just heavenly perfect. Service is friendly and fast. I prefer to go inside instead of doing the drive through. I've went through the drive through 3 times and I found that the people who order takes too long to decide what to get. They always have a variety of donuts and donut holes. It's nice and fluffy, not dense. My favorite has little gummy bears sleeping on it.
The drip coffee is one step ahead of hotel coffee. The latte came out of a machine and wasn't worth more than 2 sips. I gave it 2 stars I stead of 1 because the doughnut was decent. But I'm from the northwest, so maybe my coffee expectations are too high.
During my one week visit to Wisconsin, I somehow managed to make it to this Dunkin Donuts twice. Go figure! But can you really blame me? Having grown up in a Wisconsin devoid of them, DD are still a bit of a novelty. This location is conveniently located off the freeway and fairly easy to get to. The staff was super friendly and chatty during our visits. The donuts of course were delicious and so were the cold icy drinks. Sadly, I cannot have coffee, but from what I can recall, it's tasty and addictive! I'm so happy a Dunkin Donuts is close to home when I get a chance to visit. Definitely stop in and say hello!

Wow I love this place! The bagels are so great and the smoothies are to die for! Try a Big Apple Club and a berry breeze smoothie YUM!
I went to Big Apple Bagels for the first time yesterday (4/20/15) and after the service I'm not sure I'll be going back... I went through the drive thru, the woman was very abrupt and unhelpful. It was rainy that day so the menu board was blurry and difficult to read. When I asked what the difference was between two sandwiches I was met with an abrasive tone and very curt answer, it felt like I was bothering the woman on the speaker. When I got to the window I saw that her name was Carie, she wasn't overly friendly in person either. The bagel sandwich I got was very good, the pickle in the plastic bag was barely edible, it had a very weird taste to it. It's too bad that Carie really rubbed me the wrong way, especially with it being my first time visiting this establishment. First impressions are important...I know they have great bagels, but I'm not sure I want to support this business after my encounter with a woman who treated me not like a customer but a nuisance.
Always a good meal. The smoothies are quite refreshing.

I had some sushi and a couple of rolls. I also had the tamest wasabi ever. It had absolutely no heat. The rolls tasted great, though, as did the sushi. I would come back but bring my own wasabi!
Websie says food made from scratch every day, reality is most of the buffet items tasted stale as if they were salvaged from previous day buffet. I didn't come to asian bistro to eat chicken nuggets, garlic bread and meat balls. Sushi was below average. Except for egg drop soup and noodles rest was bad. I really dont know how these guys are still in business with such low standard food. On the other side the ambiance, location and service was good. Would never return.
I wanted to eat Chinese one night. So I stopped into this place on a whim and ordered take out. What I got was VERY GOOD, I have been back there a number of times and will continue to go back.

First time customer for lunch today--A-OK is about right. I wasn't overly impressed, but it wasn't anything I couldn't get better anywhere else. Which is the one criteria that makes restaurants worthwhile for me. I had a chicken salad croissant, which turned out to be chicken curry. It would have been nice to know before I ordered that it was chicken curry, because I would have ordered something different. Nine dollars for a sandwich I wasn't thrilled about, a teeny bag of chips and a funky-tasting iced tea was my experience. I may come back and try something different, but this place doesn't get my overwhelming vote of confidence.

Chili’s Restaurant

It's sad to say, but this was the best restaurant that I ate at when I had the pleasure of staying in the Steven's Point area. Yes Chili's is a chain. There was nothing really special about this restaurant. The staff was friendly and there was a full bar. I was happy to find that they also offered a Allergen Menu and a gluten free menu was available. The food was decent and I left feeling full.
The good was horrible and the service was unfriendly. On top of it they gave us an Ipad to use at the table and we played a game on it. They did not inform us till the end that they add a 2 dollar charge for playing the game. I would never go back.
Awesome food and great service! I used to not like Chilis but my father in law loves it so when he was visiting my family and I in Plover we took him there. They added more items to their menu and the service was awesome. The atmosphere is really cool to.

I give it one star but it should get -2 stars this place is a dump it's a dive don't waste your time don't waste your money! We ate at their buffet if you could call it a buffet because there wasn't much to select from and their soups were nothing but broth honestly people this place should be condemned! I hope I don't get food poisoning!
Stopped on Monday when traveling thru the area shortly before noon. I'd looked at reviews beforehand to plan where to eat, plus viewed the only menu I could find on-line (which proved to be very outdated). Lunch buffet was only about $1 more than lunch specials (drink extra), so we opted for the buffet. Two vats of soup & two stations, one for a few pieces of sushi & some cold fruit & basic salads & deserts (none of which we tried), & the other for 15 "hot" dishes, most nearly empty (there were less than a dozen people there when we came, a few more when we left). All "hot" entries were lukewarm at best (when most dishes contain chicken, this is a concern for bacterial growth); when we told our server, her excuse was that they leave the air conditioning on overnight, so it takes awhile for the water bath to warm up. Come on - they were open nearly an hour - wouldn't the first thing to do is turn on the warmer when the person comes in to prep a lunch buffet ?? Plus the dishes were very bland or tasteless, most overcooked, & the sauces were very watery. However, as the pans were (very slowly) restocked, the food was hot coming out of the kitchen. Service was attentive (then again they were not busy). Restrooms were somewhat clean/ not filthy (should've been much better so close to opening). Outside of building not maintained at all (should've been a warning sign). It is very rare for us to not go back for seconds at a Chinese buffet!
Tempura House has a identity crisis. Is it a Chinese OR a Japanese restaurant? Is it both? Is it even Asian food? We entered with no one manning the front counter. The waiters walked passed us carrying food or menus but no one greeted us. 5 minutes in, we were ready to leave but someone from the kitchen came and asked what he could for get us. He asked if we wanted a Japanese or Chinese menu. I asked for both. The Japanese menu is basically a sushi menu. Food is mediocre. The service was slow even if the place was empty. They have a buffet but yeah, I probably will not return to know how it is.
