    Went to Doc's last night and had a fantastic time! I knew it always gets busy so I made a reservation for my wife and I...also gave them my pizza order so they could get a head start. We arrived and the place quickly filled up...our pizza was ready about 15 minutes after we sat down and it was PERFECT! Large sausage, pepperoni and mushroom to be exact...atmosphere was a added bonus with it being located on Pewaukee Lake...my favorite pizza hands down! I highly recommend Doc's...so good.

    The best pizza around! A little dark and outdated inside and occasionally the perfume can be a little strong. But don't let that stop you from trying some of the best pizza trust me your mouth will be watering for more.

    OMG. My new Fav pizza! It's The Best!!! Bar tenders and servers are a little old school and slow but the pizza is worth the wait!

    The short: Some of the best thin crust pizza I've had anywhere - and definitely the most generously topped. The long: My friend and I decided to check this place out late last Tuesday night and almost bailed when informed that they were unusually busy and the wait for pizza was an hour. Since we weren't in a rush, we opted to stick it out and grabbed the only open table. We quickly put in an order (fried/battered mushrooms, a pair of East Side dark lagers, and a 16" super supreme pizza) and drifted into conversation while taking in the vibe of the place. I instantly fell for the simple dark wood architecture and the likelihood that our server may have also been an owner. You definitely get the feeling that this place hasn't changed much in the last couple decades, whether or not that's true, which I appreciate. The beers came out quickly and the mushrooms followed shortly thereafter. The mushrooms were crisp and hot and came with a side of ranch, which is basically saying they're exactly what you'd want and expect. My dining partner wasn't sold on the place until the pizza arrived, at which point our eyes widened and the conversation failed - we'd definitely underestimated how much food this was. Two pseudo-athletes that'd just spent 3+ hours climbing rock walls struggled to finish half of a 16" pie, but we loved every crispy, top-heavy bite of it. Well played, Doc's.

    When I think of Milwaukee Pizza, I think of thin crust, spicy Italian sausage, fresh mozzarella and tangy sauce. To me, this is like Mystic Pizza! This place was awesome. We ordered the supreme (cheese, sausage, mushroom and onion) and the super supreme (add peppers, olives and pepperoni). And, of course, when in Milwaukee, fried cheese curds are a must. Sooo delicious. I'm okay with the canned mushrooms. That's what we grew up on. This place gets crowded fast, and we arrived with a group of eight right as the place opened up. We were able to grab a table, but you may want to call ahead to reserve a table. When in Milwaukee, I'll make sure to stop by this place.

    Pizza, like art, is very subjective - everyone has their "favorite". Our first (and last) visit to Doc's was underwhelming. The small dining area is apparently only for friends of the waitress and all newbies are sent to the bar. We were also told it would be an hour for our pie and the friend that referred us had told me it was worth the wait. At about 90 minutes, and after seeing other couples that ordered after us get their pizzas, we spoke to the bartender. We were served a thin crusted pie with the edges clearly charred - either forgotten or shoved back in the oven when asked for. Nothing special here folks - certainly not worth the wait.

    Very good!! Appetizers of garlic bread w/ cheese and breaded cauliflower were so good! Toppings so plentiful and all the way to the edges! I love the plain cheese,thin and crispy...my favorite type of pizza!! Small place and a bit off the beaten path on the lake. Love it!!

    The best pizza I've ever had! Crispy thin crust and loaded with toppings. They have great beer specials as well. I always look forward to coming to this place when I come back into town.

    Went to Doc's on a Saturday night, called earlier in the day for a reservation as we were going to have 6 adults and 3 children with us. Table was ready to go, Staff was friendly and atmosphere was great! They do a great job managing with the space available (as it is small). I called to pre-order as suggested by the person on the phone. 10 minutes later, after I let them know to get our order in, our pizza was hot, fresh and ready for all of us to eat. Tons of toppings, crisp crust, and great beer prices. Can't ask for more at this great historical and local establishment. New ownership is really doing a great job! Hope to eat there again sooner than later!!

    Decent place for great thin crust for Milwaukee area standards. Their pepperoni seems to be spicier than most pizza joints. The Super Special is completely overloaded with toppings so much that you might make a complete disaster of your table. My spot at our booth looked like a kindergardener on speed pills spent the last year straight dining there. Definitely a must to call ahead for reservations or put your name on the list. The place is tiny and is way too popular with the local area.

    So while it was not the worst pizza I have eaten, it was by no means worth the hour wait. We went on a Sunday, and entered the restaurant at 4:15- 4:20. The place consists of a bar that seats 15-20 and a dining room with 4 booths and a table. There was 4 people in the dining room and maybe 8-10 people in the bar when we walked in. We were told by the waitress that we needed to order right away, since the kitchen was 45 minutes out already... ?? Excuse me?? there's 14 people in the place and you're 45 minutes out? Still, we had read the reviews, and were prepared for a wait. Our appetizer came out in about 15 minutes (Butter battered mushrooms) they were good, but nothing spectacular. It was literally an hour for our pizza to come out. I don't know if they make the crust to order, but that's the only reason I can think why it would take that long. The pizza was loaded with toppings I think we got the deluxe. The sausage is very full of cinnamon or allspice or something similar, I liked it OK, my wife did not care for it. The crust was a thin crust pizza, it was similar to other bar pizza's I've had, and nothing special. The woman behind us was exclaiming that it was the best crust she had ever had. I felt sorry for her, since even a frozen pizza gave this one a run for it's money. If I were you, rather than waiting a ridiculous amount of time for a mediocre pizza, do yourself a favor and hop in your car and drive into Milwaukee for Transfer's pizza. 8 years on the East Coast and I know my pizza. Transfer is thin, but with a chew to it. Their toppings are outstanding and they have a FAR better product than what you get at Doc's.

    Best pizza ever! We get the super special with pepperoni, sausage, onion, green peppers, black olives, and mushrooms. They really pile on the toppings. The crust is thin and crispy. It's a small place so what we do if we want a booth is call ahead and reserve one. The service is great and I can't recommend a better place for pizza.

    Best Pizza in Pewaukee! If you intend on sitting in a booth get there early or make reservation because it gets crowded fast! I usually sit at the bar as I find you get a good view of the lake & it's more lively. The pizza has always been excellent here. I always get a larger size pizza so I have left overs!

    Went again this past weekend. Walked in and it was packed but again found two seats at the bar right away. We ordered a sausage, pepperoni, peppers and onion and it was even better than the first time!! One thing I forgot to mention is that in their condiment carrier they offer garlic powder. I have never seen that before and how genius - it was awesome on the pizza! .

    Docs always has great pizza, just try to get there when it is not busy. The pizza is a fantastic thin crust, garlic bread is good too. Be patient and wait for what is a little homemade pizza place. If carrying out you can always grab a beer at the bar while you wait.

    Went here with some friends on a Saturday night about 6:00 PM. The place is hard to find and small inside - it's a bar with several booths. The place was packed and we were told our booth would be ready in about 30 minutes so we jammed in with the other customers for a beer at the bar. About an hour later we questioned how much longer and were told the next booth was ours and about 15 minutes later the group at the booth got up to leave and another group that was sitting at the bar (who came in 10 minutes earlier) snagged our booth. When we complained to the bartender we got a shoulder shrug and that was about it. We decided to eat at the bar since that was starting to filter out. We ordered our pizza and it took another 50 minutes for it to arrive. We did ask the bartender to check on the pizza since it was taking so long and she remarked that it was best not to rock the boat with the kitchen staff. (What the heck does that mean?) The food finally arrived. I was so hungry by this point I would have eaten the shingles off the roof with cheese on it. I'm a pizza junkie and this pizza was "so-so" in my opinion. We probably spent the better part of 2.5 hours here and that's way out of line for just getting a pizza. Hard to find, limited parking, long waits, indifferent staff, so-so food. Why come here? This place is way over rated in my opinion. There are plenty of pizza places in town with better atmosphere, better food and hardworking people that are friendly and want you to spend your money and time - support them.

    pizza was good, but it was like pulling teeth to get a cocktail, water or utensils. Grabbed our own napkins from another table.....no spatulas....asked for a knife and got one to share for 4 people.....quite pathetic service! Pizza is served on a to go round.....CHEAP CHEAP

    Absolutely the best pizza I have ever had! Can't wait to get back there all the way from Dallas Texas we go at least twice a year when we visit. Don't tell your friends it could screw the place up.

    Pizza was great! I actually really like canned mushrooms so I can't complain that they use them, but as good as their pizza is, I'm surprised they don't go the extra mile to use all fresh ingrediants and really knock it out of the ballpark. I'll definitely be going back! The place is very small...if there's no open table when u get there, expect to eat at the bar cuz they don't really offer u the option, they take your order right when u walk up to the bar and put plates in front of u...even if u don't have anyplace to sit at the bar yet lol. They must b used to regulars being in there and just knowing the drill...and that was ok, it actually added character to the experience. Reading other reviews and based on my experience it looks like " You're pizza will take 1 hour" is the theme...it was worth the hour, just know in advance u will have a wait :-)

    Sure, Doc's uses canned mushrooms and black olives...and the service can be painfully slow...but the pizza is consistently good, their crust is always thin and crunchy, and this place just screams "Wisconsin" in terms of the ambiance (and staff). If you expect quick, attentive service--go elsewhere. If you want a slow-paced meal with pizza and cocktails, give Doc's a whirl.

    Love Doc's for many years. It's a cool small out of the way pizza place. Specialty is thin crust which I love. Tons of toppings crispy crust. Try the loaded super special. Service is not exactly speedy as kitchen is small and they sell tons of pizza. Fine with me as I like a couple of beers when waiting. Bar is friendly nice place to wait. They have like 5 tables so if you want one get there early or be prepared to wait, have a beer. If you like thin crust pizza and an unusual atmosphere try to find Doc's, say hi to somebody at the bar.

    Doc's is the definition of a Wisconsin dive bar and is a hole in the wall, but you will be blown away by their thin crust pizza. The service can be terribly slow and you end up waiting almost an hour to sit and eat, but its worth it! Doc's is easily one of the best pizza joints in southeastern Wisconsin.
