Horrible experience. We were sitted, ignored and 20 minutes later I had to flag a waitress to take our ordered. Nine of our salad or soup came in time. The waitress forgot about them actually and I got on my phone to check their menu side dishes. They owed us an soup and salad!!! The waitress then apologized and got them out for us...after our main course came and we were already eating it. Please note, we waited for more than an hour before our food came while the other customers who cane after us they amazingly got their appetizers right away. It was really frustrating. Beware, they charge 18% gratuity so there is no way of escaping crappy service. It sure felt like the American customers got good service while we Asians sat and waited...didn't get out side dishes until the end. I also observe other Asian customers wasting for awhile but the American customers kept getting waited on!!! It really was horrible. I'm truly disappointed. They will only get my money this first and last time.

I always get the same things here, so I can't really comment on the whole menu. We always order Miso soup, Volcano Roll, and Dragon Roll with extra Wasabi, sometimes Hibachi. They are always willing to change ingredients in the rolls which is awesome, as some places will not so this for customers. The food and service is constantly the same which is a good level. I have had much better Japanese living out in Las Vegas, but for a place in Onalaska it's good. Plus the take out option is wonderful as well.

We ordered a meal of California roll, spicy California roll and tempura roll - it came with soup & salad. Service was prompt - multiple servers refilled drinks, cleared dishes, etcetera. Good food & service - clean tables/floors. We will be back!

Had a Valentines Day lunch here and we were very impressed. Really nice selection of sushi. We did the sushi thing not the hibachi but that looked good also. We started with chicken yakitori which was very good along with these tuna wasabi dumplings which were amazing even if you only get two for $8.95. Then we split a couple rolls of tuna stuff with crunchies and something that was wrapped in yellow paper with banana in it along with tuna and something else. Good service and they were nice enough to sell me a small cup of their awesome peanut ginger salad dressing to take home. Will for sure make this our new sushi go to in La Crosse.

We went back and this time it wasn't so good. I thought I ordered the appetizer tempura calamari but instead I received the squid teriyaki. The pork tonkatsu was dry and boring. The seaweed salad wasn't so fresh tasting. We were not asked if everything was okay or not during our visit. No asking if we wanted dessert or not. I felt like they were rushing people in and out.

Went with a party of 13 and had a wonderful time. Took a while to get our drinks but other than that the service was great and our hibachi chef Arnold made it a night to remember! We will definitely be returning!

Great atmosphere, food, staff, sushi fresh & tasty! We will be back! Now if only their social media was as good as everything else providing wonderful foodies with something to drool over...

Went for lunch with a friend. We went to have sushi and were blown away by the choices. We ordered a couple of sushi rolls. While we waited for our food, we saw some delicious looking plates carried out. We kept asking the waiter what they were. We asked for menus bs k and really looked at the menu. The possibilities are endless! Our rolls arrived and were fabulous. We then ordered sashimi, one of the plates we saw pass by to another table. It was also fabulous. Everything was presented visually pleasing. The waitstaff was attentive and informative. Decor was new with clean lines. It will take many trips back in order to try everything I want on the menu. I have to say it was cleaner and better than the other sushi restaurant that is nearby. 5 stars!

I have eaten lunch here a number of times. Each time I have had sushi at the sushi bar. The service has been excellent each time. The sushi selection is great and reasonably priced. The sushi chefs prepared my selection FAST and presentation was attractive. The fish quality is not the best I've ever had but we are in Wisconsin in a mid-priced establishment, after all. I have not had hibachi on any of my visits so I cannot comment. I did read an interesting 1-star review from a gentleman who complained that the bartender didn't know how to make a Mai Tai saying he didn't add grenadine or OJ. I laughed as neither is an ingredient in a proper Mai Tai. Rum, curacao, lime juice, orgeat and bar syrup, dude!

When you walk in and see the bubble fountain, and how clean it is, the staff great you, it gives the feeling that the place will be good, at it was. Our waitress was nice and friendly, we ordered and were brought our soups fast, they were very good, the salad was a little different from other places I've ate at but still good. We had some sushi, 3 types and all were fresh and delicious. The main course was started and out cook was funny and very good with his knife and spatula. All the food we ordered, chicken, shrimp and scallops were all very good and nicely seasoned. They have a wide variety of food and drinks, even a lunch menu which i was surprised the hibachi was open before 5pm but they were. Overall myself and family were happy and very full when we left.

Nice atmosphere, efficient service, and well run operation. We were very happy with the sushi - it was well prepared, thin, tender rice, soft and fresh fish. We've only had better sushi in a metro area like Chicago. We'll definitely be back.

So I go out to eat with 6 friends at show gun rest in onalasha. The prices were very high, the food was OK.we waited and waited for our bill. Soon as there was tip money laid out, the bill comes. Upon looking there was an 18% charge for a mandatory tip. There was 7 people at our table, with 4 seperate bills. I should make the decision on how much he should get tipped not him.slight conflict of interest. I don't recommended this place. I'll stick with hu hot

Food was good, but the service was TERRIBLE. Walked in with a rsvp. My wife got in a very long line to check in, while I went to the bar to grab a couple of drinks. Once the overworked and understaffed bar tender finally made it to me he didn't know how to make a mai tai. This is a habachi place, which are typically known for upscale drinks. This guy had to look it up on his phone, yet Still made it wrong....no oj, no grenadine, and no curacao. While I watched him fumble through it two drinks were returned to the bar for being wrong. This bar should have had two tenders or at least a bar back. Once we were seated we had the rudest waitress I have ever encountered. She was very unprofessional and expected patrons to do her work for her. We ordered rolls that did not show up until after soup and salad were served. The saving grace was the cook. He did a very good job and the food was prepared very well. The waitress expected folks to reach over the grill to receive their salads and soup, and expected folks to stack their plates and hand hand them to her over the grill versus her coming around to get them. There appeared to be no buss boys so wait staff was busy clearing and prepping tables when they should have been caring for their occupied tables to keep drinks and such fresh. The decor of the establishment was very nice. But the sound level was a little high, especially when the rediculous sound track started playing for the person who was there celebrating their birthday. Everyone literally stopped what they were doing and looked around in confusion as music blared over the sound system and disco lights started. Very odd. Overall I think the place has potential. It's nice decor and good food save it. But right now the poor service and non - welcoming atmosphere kill it. If they get a good mixologist behind the bar and adequate bar and buss staff with professional higher end experienced wait staff I think they would be a great evening out. But right now I will be avoiding coming back.

Not only the food and service, but hands down best restaurant I've been to. I travel all over the country for work and this place will always be number 1. Amazing.

It's brand new so obviously it's going to be very clean. I ordered soup as a starter and it was tepid at best. The sushi rice was overcooked and our rolls were falling apart, which was very disappointing. Even the normal rolls, like cucumber rolls that aren't over stuffed, were falling apart as well as the special rolls. Everything looks much prettier than it tastes. It's quite a shame because I have been looking forward to this place opening ever since I found out that it was coming to town.

Told the waitress that I have a severe avocado allergy. She was somewhat dismissive so I tried to clarify what that meant in terms of sushi prep, but she assured me that she would tell the chefs. Two bites into my rolls (which were fine but nothing special and the fish didn't taste top quality, had a spicy tuna with very few crunchy bits, and a salmon roll that was meh) (I'm also admittedly a sushi snob) my tongue swells up and my lips go numb. Called the waitress over, and she had the audacity to tell me that because my order didn't have avocado it was fine. Uh, no. Not fine. Got the bill, my sushi was taken off but not my beer (drank maybe a quarter of it but stopped because it doesn't mix well with antihistamines that I knew were coming once the tongue tingle set in) or other food, paid, and left for urgent care, where I got a nice shot of Benedryl in my ass. I think allergy accommodation is a sign of a good chef, and not being able to prevent cross contamination is a sign of bad chef habits (I've worked in kitchens before). Even Chipotle can accommodate my avocado allergy. So would not go back and would not trust their sushi even without possible food allergy.

Food was excellent and our waitress was somewhat attentive, but a long, long wait for the Habachi chef! It was a busy Friday night, so I would definitely go again!

Ordered NY strip teriyaki "well done" but was served medium rare. The restaurant was busy and waitstaff seemed to be struggling to keep up. It took the server quite a while to check to see how we liked our meals. So I asked for a box and told the server I'd cook it more at home. The server did offer a quiet "sorry," but nothing further to appease my dissatisfied palate. Not impressed tonight.

We enjoyed a Valentine's Day lunch here and had a great experience. Fantastic service, drinks and food. We have been waiting a long time for this place to open. We could no longer tolerate the filth of the other place in Onalaska. This is our new go-to place for sushi. In response to the 1 star rating claiming disregard based on race, we witnessed several tables of Asians that received the same courteous and speedy service as us. Next time, instead of throwing the racial card you may want to speak to the manager anytime you feel you are not receiving proper service.

Great sushi and ambiance. On par with a Las Vegas sushi place on the strip in both regards. Timely service. Really good value with prices. Clean

I was blown away tonight about how bad or service was. This is my is my 5th time there, first for hibachi there sushi is awesome. The hibachi staff seemed uninterested in serving us almost like it was a chore. We had a huge language barrier between us and the waitress. I ask for water for my children 3 times she never brought them. We ordered 4 entree's and I feel like we got skimped a little in the meat dept. we of course where sitting with other people being a hibachi they where defiantly taken care of WAY better than us. There is a older gentleman that works behind the bar his customer service is amazing he greeted us with a big smile came over and talked to my family and gave my 3 year old suckers. I wish everyone acted like him and the place would be amazing. Good service makes you forget about sub par food. I'll be going back to sushi side but never to hibachi. $150 for rice and noodles and a little meat is not worth it. The no water blew me away as well.

Went during the week so it was pretty slow. Seated at the hibachi right away. Ordered the sake martini and it took awhile to get but worth it. Had a sushi appetizer and it also took awhile to get, but worth it as well. The hibachi was great. Chef was funny and efficient. Overall great food and good service.

Was an enjoyable experience. Service was polite and quick to take my order. I ordered a 3 roll lunch (sushi). Salad came quickly and only a short wait for the sushi. Everything was great. Will eat here again!
