Tried this place for the first time today, and everything was amazing! Nice warm chips and a bigger bowl of salsa than I've seen at most places started us off. I had a rocks margarita, which was great. For my entree, I ordered the steak fajita burritos with refried beans and rice. The quality of the ingredients here is top notch, my new favorite Mexican restaurant in the area!

This little Quiznos in Oconomowoc has amazingly good subs even though the restaurant is a bit small it still manages to maintain good service. The smells inside are very good. Service is nice and fast. The combo meals are great. And it is very good quality. This is overall a very great place to go to for lunch if you need something quick and easy to eat. Keep up the good work Quiznos!

Mantra Indian Bistro

Reviews:
Excellent Indian Food in Oconomowoc! Funny thing is, who would expect to find that in Oconomowoc? They brought out a plate of chips and sauces which were all unique and got us ready to enjoy the upcoming food. We had the chicken tandoori and garlic naan. Both were better than expected and quite good. We did get it mild to get a feel for their spice levels and it was quite mild though flavorful. Next time we'll bump it up a notch. Wait staff was very attentive and kept drinks fresh. It was a good atmosphere and the inside is very nicely done which is surprising when you look at the outside. Overall, would definitely go back.
We ordered Lamb Biriyani, veg biriyani and Gobi Manchurian for our new year's party and everyone loved it. Chef Bhaskar did a great job and Ram is so customer friendly! You should also try the Mughlai Lamb.
The food is incredible at Mantra! Dishes are prepared to perfection. Very friendly and pleasant staff. This is yet another incredible restaurant that call Oconomowoc home! Best Indian in SE Wisconsin... Nothing even close in Madison or Milwaukee. We have dined in and out, from a table of 2-14, had the buffet, and dined with kids....everything the same, hot, fresh, and delectable. The only down side about mantra, yet it has not been issue for us yet, is that seating is limited, and the buffet is SO popular that they have a hard time keeping up with demand... But they do!

Stone Creek Coffee

Reviews:
If you happen to be in Oconomowoc, this is the place you go for an excellent cup of coffee. It's no secret--at least in my family--that Stone Creek delivers every time. All drinks that require the espresso bar are made with precision. Lattes are always the right temperature, and have good proportions whether you order it hot or iced. They also have a selection of alternative brewing methods that I'd like to try sometime. It's no joke when they boast "Coffee Science."
I have yet to have a bad coffee here. Soooo Very Good! The staff is knowledgeable and friendly. The atmosphere is warm and inviting and makes you want to take a seat and take it easy. I love that it's right next to the bookstore and has an adjoining door. My only complaint is that the counter area where you place your order is too cramped. It's situated right near one of their doors, in a corner area with tables nearby that get overwhelmed with people standing around them. The service is a little slower than you'd receive at your other typical coffeehouse so there tends to be more waiting with nowhere to wait at this location. Otherwise, all is good!
great almond milk latte. comfortable seating, good light, great prices, delicious-looking stuff in the pastry case if you're not gluten free, happy energy. free latte with the purchase of their fresh-roasted beans. plus: a bookstore and a bagel shop on either side. trifecta! I wish I could give them 4.5--I'm gluten free tho and a macaroon just doesn't cut it for breakfast. otherwise, love it here.

I've ordered take out here and have eaten in a few times each. The food has always been really good. The vegetables are fresh and the meat is good. The people working there are very friendly and attentive. My son thought that the sauce in his Szechuan chicken was really too thick, but otherwise good. I love the Singapore chow mei fun!
Not bad, not bad at all! Their pork egg foo young is pretty darn decent - I'm not overly crazy about their gravy, it could definitely use a bit more oyster sauce, which I was able to do at home. It's good enough though, good egg foo young seems to be hard to come by in this lovely state. Their egg rolls are typical average good and my husband's shrimp lo mein was pretty good. I didn't love their wonton soup at all - their dumplings are entirely too thick and the broth leaves a lot to be desired. All in all, I'm excited to try more from Feng's Kitchen!
For take out Chinese it was really good. I ordered online without any issue. It was easy and efficient. It said it would be ready in 20 min and it was pretty spot on. Didn't have to wait at all when I got there Veggies were fresh and crisp in the dishes that we had. The sauce in the dishes was nice and not over powering like a lot of places. The rice was a little on the mushy side. Overall I think that this is one of the better options in the area.

Jimmy John’s

Reviews:
When your in Pinch Jimmy Johns is a cinch!. Just as fast as every other Jimmy Johns. Your order your sub and by the time your CC is swiped your order is in your hands. I love having JJs out in Oconomowoc as it reminds me of my college days when I lived off a bottle of olive oil and Jimmy Johns Day old bread.
This Jimmy John's location opened up a few months ago. As a Subway addict, some of my co-workers convinced me to go with them to get lunch here. I'm a convert. If you've been to any JJ's you know what to expect - the same sandwiches, prep, and speed of delivery - by the time you've finished paying, your sub is done. The crew at this location is fantastic - they're friendly, excited, and if you're a regular they'll often have your sandwich being made the second they see you walk in the front door!
It's a Jimmy John's, so you probably know the drill. After we ordered and paid for a drink we realized they only have raspberry tea, which I hate. But, unlike the one in Milwaukee on the Marquette campus, this one paid attention to my request for a #13 sandwich light on cheese. Plus, we were greeted right when we came in and acknowledged as we were leaving.

Whelan’s Coffee & Ice Cream

163 E Wisconsin Ave
Oconomowoc, 53066
Reviews:
Is there anything better than a locally owned business with the kind of customer service you just don't find in the chains that have taken over? That's exactly what you can expect at Whelan's. This morning my wife and I took our dog for a walk around Fowler Lake and decided to stop at Whelan's for an iced coffee and the best smoothie around (Rio Acai - delicious). I told the owner that I was picky about my iced coffee, and she insisted that I try a sample before committing to a whole cup. On top of that, every coffee drink comes with a tasty little ginger crisp cookie that is a perfect complement. When I asked for a cup of water for my dog, the owner not only filled a whole bowl, she also carried it out for me because I had my hands full. What?! Who does that?! Anyway, the coffee is good, the smoothies are amazing, and I also like the baked goods when I have a sweet tooth. I haven't tried the ice cream yet. Feel free to come in and lounge in this quaint little shop with free WiFi, books to read, and games to play, or chill out in the sidewalk under an umbrella and enjoy the breeze and people-watching on the downtown strip. You'll love it! My one complaint: the amazing smoothies are pricey. I can't justify making it a regular thing. And to be honest... sorry... but the atmosphere isn't awesome in their new location. :-(
Very cute place to sit down & have a cup of coffee...interior is great & connwcted to a store in the back selling pretty antique lights.
Cute local shop. Lots of variety, friendly staff and decent coffee.

If you are looking for a quiet, not so crowded place to get lake front seating in a relaxed outdoors no-frills place, this is for you. The food is actually really quite good- think bar food... Chicken wings and fries. It's really inexpensive as well. It's kid friendly - with an oversized Adirondack chair that the kids just can't get enough of. The patio furniture is very basic - some hard plastic and somewhat mismatched but you can't get any closer to the water.

Inn At Pine Terrace

351 E Lisbon Rd
Oconomowoc, 53066
Reviews:
Boo to the snarky owners who take no opportunity to create goodwill in a guest who could not, for weather-related emergencies, make it up to a reservation. No refund was requested, but a query into a possibility of any type of credit towards a next trip. The response read as an accusation that the guest was lying and/or asking too much. I will remember this when we book our next weekend trip and never come here, that's for sure.
I loved it here. Just wish I could've stayed longer. The historical rooms, decor, and ambience made it feel like I stepped back through time and lived in this rich palace. It'll make you feel like you've traveled back to an era without cellphones, television, or modern stresses. We stayed in the room with the bay tower windows, which gives it major points in book, I believe it was called Minnie Anhueser room. It was wonderful. If I can save up, I'd splurge again at this lovely B&B.
Run by personable innkeepers John and Ruth, the Inn at Pine Terrace was perfect for this weekend's visit to Oconomowoc. Housed in an impressive mid-19th century mansion, the Inn is a short walk to downtown and an equally short drive to German-American restaurant Schwefel's. The Inn and Schwefel's: two fine reasons to visit the "O".

The Chocolate Factory

Reviews:
Love The Chocolate Factory! They've got a huge variety of ice cream, plus lots of sandwiches to choose from. So, come for lunch, and stay for dessert! This place has been here forever. I moved away from Oconomowoc in 1988, and this was one of my favorite places to go when I was a kid. On both trips back since, I've made sure to stop in for a sandwich (stayed away from the ice cream this time). Staff is friendly, food is good, and the place has that warm, comfortable feeling you seem to find all over Oconomowoc. Love it!
Hard to beat the Chocolate factory, no matter what location or what town i'm in. If i ever move out of the Milwaukee Metro area The Chocolate Factory will be one of the biggest things i miss, perfect subs. I love the Phoenix and the club. The ice cream selections are great too.
I love this place. The warm sub buns are amazing. Nothing beats their turkey subs. Though they have several flavors of ice cream, they rarely have my favorite two....cotton candy and bubble gum....but what can you do?
