Been going here since it was owned by people who cared about quality of food Not huge selection of food that's poor quality. It was a double wide trailer then, but the three best things were Fish fry, burgers, and assume chicken, now the new owner is more concerned about profits then food. It's really sad when this place was a complete dump the food was Assume, now it's bad!! Gene wake up!! Theirs nothing wrong with a smaller menu and focus on quality not quantity!!!

I had good experiences here in the past but was pretty disappointed after last weekend. Tried to take the shuttle to Trail's End but no one would answer the phone after repeated calls. My friends and I waited quite awhile for a table and then were told to get our own chair. After being seated, it was at least another 20 minutes before a waitress came and that only happened after we asked if we would be served soon. Everything took a long time to come out, at least a half hour for appetizers, and the appetizers were terrible. Definitely seemed to come out of a box and were not hot. The food was decent but took a long time. Never got asked if I wanted a second drink. Checks were all wrong and took a long time to sort out.

We visited Trails End while on our annual golf outing and will NEVER go back!!! We had a party of seven. Drinks were ordered at the bar. The male bartender had no interest in serving us. After we received our drink order, he did not acknowledge us for at least 15 minutes. There was one other person at the bar. We asked if we could eat at the bar. He said yes. Menus were never brought and after 15 minutes we caught a waitress to ask if we could sit at a table. She directed us to whatever table we wanted and brought us menus. After 15 minutes, she returned to take our order. We placed our food order and another drink order. 45 minutes later, some of our group received their food. Drinks had been delivered. The waitress said the balance of the food would be out shortly. The people that had received their meals were more than half-way through their meals when the rest of the food was delivered. At no time did the waitress acknowledge the slow service. In fact, she was a bit aloof! Upon finishing our meals, we departed. 2.5 hours to have two drinks and our meal. First and LAST time we will ever visit. Food was OK at best although the build a burgers came out plain and the waitress had to go back and get the balance of the toppings. The service was terrible! Would like to rate this a ZERO!

We tried Trails again and there has been improvement. The fish fry is back to cod, and they still have the best tarter sauce. Other menu items are generally good. Service can be really slow during busy times.

Trail's is one of our favorite places to go. My wife and I have enjoyed many good meals there. I only have had one bad experience out of probably 30 visits over the years. Service had always been top notch and friendly. My favorite is the cedar planked salmon with sweet potato fries and Gene' s Beans. I will have this 8 out of 10 times we go. They also have great wraps and salads. Will not have the prime rib again. In my opinion, one of the best in the area.

Not a bad place for this remote area of Wisconsin. The food was good and very fresh. We were in a large group and had pizzas and sandwiches and there wree no complaints. We also ordered a large "Cheese Fries" for the novelty, mainly because it said it had a pound of cheese on it. Turns out "Cheese Fries" means a cheese pizza without sauce so we were kind of dissapointed. Weird... The bar area was pretty nice and I think this would be a great place to knock down a few after work.

Our party of 10 adults arrived at 12:45 pm on a Saturday. They were busy, so they said our party would have to split up or wait, so we split up. We were in the bar area, with two different waitresses between our two parties. We received our drinks, and ordered our meals. They were out of ruebens...a little odd for a Saturday in the summer, but ok. Finally we all ordered and sat back and watched the dining room and bar clear out, new patrons arrive - and get their food BEFORE us, including parties of 6 (we were now a party of 4 and 6 at two different tables). At about the 30 minute mark from ordering, our waitress said "your order is just about up"...again, we watched as others were served who arrived after us - this is BAR FOOD, nothing fancy! As the bar area cleared, we flagged our "waitress" down to see if we could move to a table closer to the rest of her party. And I quote, this was her response: "No, that's another servers section, and we can't keep the orders straight if you move, so no, you can't move to another table." ...whaaat, you seriously can't keep orders staight and swap tables with another server - even Pizza Hut will work with you on making a move if desired. Not once did the waitress come back to ask if we'd like something more to drink. After one hour and twenty minutes, our food arrived. It was nothing spectacular, bar food - sandwiches and wraps. With our bill, the waitress said the drinks were on them b/c of the delay - I had WATER along w/ a few others in our party! Luckily my husbands beer was on the house, but it would have been nice to have been offered a drink earlier in our 1:30 wait! We won't be coming back...not one of the staff was remotely friendly or truely appologentic or offered a reason for the delay.

We've tried Trail's End a number of times hoping our experiences were just exceptions but every time we've had a similar, and not good, experience. The service is always poor and usually comes with an attitude. It is probably the only large and nicer place in the area, unfortunately. The live music in the summer seems nice however I can't look past the mediocre food and awful service and crazy long waits. If the food stood out, I'd at least come back for the food but it's not anything special and again, mediocre at best and some just gross. I wish I could like it as it is the most "upscale" place in the Lake Arrowhead area. We've taken it off our list of restaurants to visit or recommend up here due to the lackluster food, long waits, and awful service.

Great place for a cold beer, burger and listen to a band on their expansive patio! A Wisconsin supersized version of Cheers.

More than bar food is available - pizza, wraps, pasta. Service is usually good. Avoid holiday Fridays. $2.50 Point 16oz tapper - not bad.

This place is a great place to just hang out. Their Broasted Chicken is AMAZING and make sure to get fries because they are delicious as well. I've also had the "Rome Is Burning" pasta dish. BEWARE! I really is smokin' hot, but the flavor is amazing. Overall, I liked everything I have been served here and the waitress we had was very personable and homey. Nice small Wisconsin town tavern.
