Great little cafe with a limited, but very good menu. Breakfast was very yummy. The decor makes the place. It reminded me of a cowboy cafe you'd find out West. Very fun.

Chicken salad was tasty and served on a ciabatta bun----granddaughters scrambled eggs were ordinary but ok--ciabatta toast was a nice change---all drinks are self serve but coffee was better than most places! There was a case full of fresh looking backed goods that looked good enuf to warrant a return trip---we split a pc of apple pie ala mode that was as good as homemade this place will be on our list of places to revisit for sure!!

We were there for breakfast on a cold Saturday morning, The warmth and delicious smell of cinnamon made for a very nice welcome. Our sever was very nice and greeted us promptly and directed us towards the self-service beverage corner. The menu was small but offered the breakfast norms including biscuits and sausage gravy, small but not lacking any obvious items, one might say just right for such a small and unassuming little establishment. The building and decor reminded me of a log cabin style old west museum you might find along the highway in Oklahoma or Arizona complete with a mounted bison bust and black and white photos of infamous outlaws and famous lawmen. We tried to order a bit of everything, here's our impression of the meal. Bacon egg sandwich on a whole wheat chibata roll was basic but good, the pancakes were not bad but forgettable, the Belgium style waffles were crisp, sprinkled with powdered sugar and served with fresh fruit and a dollop of whipped cream on the side, they were perfectly flavored with the right amount of sugar and vanilla in the batter and were hands down the star of the show. The bacon was good, the home fries were cut on the larger side and season with rosemary, the flavor was good but were a bit dry. The biscuits and gravy were also good but forgettable, the gravy had ok flavor but seemed to be lacking hardly and dairy component and relied heavily on a what I assume to be cornstarch but had just the right amount of thyme. Not bad by any means but I would not order again. The scrambled eggs were cooked perfectly and served piping hot. The fountain soda featured coke products and was good (it never ceases to amaze me how bad fountain soda can be in smaller restaurants) and the coffee was smooth and well flavored. They seemed to have a good tea selection and also have a cooler full of bottled juices and milk. I especially liked having serve yourself drinks as I tend to drink a lot of coffee and hate to have an empty cup, no matter how diligent the server is I can usually drain my mug before the pot is brought around again. Up by the register they also offered sweet rolls and other pastries, we did not try any since we were stuffed but they looked amazing. At the end of our meal the server brought the check and spent a good amount of time showing my little girls around place, letting them touch all the knick knacks and even giving them home made headbands for their hair. The service was great and the food was good, all in all a nice way to spend your Saturday morning, but you probably won't be raving about the food to all your friends on Monday. And one more thing, the sign in the window clearly states no plastic accepted so be sure to bring your checkbook or some cash.

Really great food in a really awesome atmosphere. Small and quaint. Just one waitress, serve yourself drinks, two people in the kitchen and tax included in meal prices. Absolutely no doubt I'd recommend this place to anyone going nearby. We had breakfast (omelets and biscuits and gravy), but the included artisan ciabatta bread that all if their sandwiches are served on was a huge hit. Can't wait to get back to try a burger!

Mexican Cuisine

If you enjoy Taco Tuesday, then you have officially fallen in love with the Mexican Food. The main grain of Mexican cuisine is maize. Also known as corn, maize is grown for the past 9000 years after the crop was discovered by the people in Mayan civilization. Mexican empire flourished when they started growing beans, tomatoes, chili pepper, sweet potato and cactus. Till this date these ingredients are used in cooking authentic Mexican dishes and drinks.

Great use of spices, fresh chili pepper dishes like fajitas, tortilla chips, corn chips, salsa, chimichangas, burritos, nachos and quesadillas are invented in America. But when you are looking for authentic Mexican food then you must find a restaurant in the city that serves Rajas con Queso, Garbanzo in a Guajillo Chile Sauce, Pork Filled Chiles Rellenos, Chiles en Nogada, Molcajete Salsa, Pico de Gallo and Frijoles de la Olla. An eye-opening fact – Mexican don't like their food hot. They use fresh chili and other spices to create a flavor that lingers in your mouth.

Mexican food is great for those who are Gluten Intolerant as they use Corn instead of wheat in most of their dishes. Also, you can easily find many beans based Mexican dishes. Another dish which didn't get similar glory as tacos or nachos is the Mexican hot chocolate. If you love something hot on a chilly day, then go for Mexican Hot Chocolate. On merry days, you can enjoy the authentic Mexican Drinks like Tequila, Mezcal, Tecuí, Sotol, Bacanora, Charanda, Posh O Pox, Puebla and Pulque. Mexican Cuisine is for people who enjoy strong drinks and hearty meals.
