Probably one of the best meals I have had in a while. Service was awesome, staff was so friendly. We had a drink at the bar and then sat down for dinner. Broiled Walleye was great, shrimp and scallop Alfredo was amazing! Will definitely be back again!

We enjoyed a great meal! This is one of our new favorite places to come for dinner in the north woods. We all ordered different dishes and we all enjoyed them. Our favorites of the night were the lake perch and the pepper steak! We even had dessert and the cream puff was phenomenal.

It is so good to see fine dining at Timber Ridge! Chef Rene's is a rare find in the north woods. Outstanding service, wine list and food to please anyone. The wild mushroom soup was awesome and the lamb chops to die for. Saw deer going in and coming out. Hummingbirds fed outside our window. Can't wait to go back!

My table ordered the beef stroganoff, chicken breast sandwich and a grilled chicken salad. Everything was amazing, the salad was not on the menu however our server was willing to accommodate! Excellent service, food and drinks!

We've dined twice now and highly recommend Chef Rene. This qualifies as fine dining. We split a NY strip - the sauce and mushrooms made for a perfect combination. The Caesar salad had a lighter dressing than I am used to but change is nice!

Chef Renee's is located in a country club in Minoqua. It recently opened in May and is surrounded by the beautiful golf course and North Woods. We came here for dinner and sat on the patio which was nice because we were seated by the windows. The atmosphere of the restaurant and bar could be updated and made a little bit more inviting with more color and better decor for an upscale restaurant located in the woods. The food was amazing. We ordered the wild mushrooms with a pastry for an appetizer and I think they were the best mushrooms I've ever had. The textures of the mushrooms were so perfect and the sauce that accompanied it was delicious and was even good to dip our bread in. I ordered the Scallops Chipon as my entree which was scallops flavored with Cajun spices and a bunch of different herbs over a bed of linguini pasta. All of the different flavors in the dish mixed so well together it was perfect. The scallops were huge and cooked just right. The service was really good. The host, servers, and bartenders were all very friendly. I even found out that Chef Renee works the kitchen every day and you can really tell because all of our dishes came out spot on. They had so many specials as well so you can tell the chef is constantly creating new dishes. I really enjoyed this place and will come back again when I'm in this area.

The four dishes at our table were all richly flavored, each with its own unique combination of sauces, textures, and aromas. It was an exciting meal to enjoy, as everyone reached across the table to sample each other's plates. The restaurant enjoys a wonderful setting on a golf course in the woods, and with a porch table you get a nice relaxing view over a pond as the sun sets. While the interior needs some refinement to match the excellent cuisine, the food does enough to grab five stars for Chef Rene's newest culinary venture.

We went back on August 14 for fish fry again. As in the past it was terrific. We had Andy for our waiter and he's really good too. He will sing if you ask him too.

Excellent food, great service! Wife had a pasta dish with shrimp, was very good. I had the half duck, really, really good stuff. The soup was fantastic, as were the bacon wrapped dates we had for the app. Treated us to a free desert because it was our wedding anniversary. It could use some updating inside the restaurant itself, but with food this good it really doesn't matter. Overall a wonderful experience. Highly recommend Chef Rene's.
