Wonderful drinks and a great daily changing menu! I have been stopping by the Checkered Churn for several years now and I still look forward to any opportunity to visit Merrill and stop in for their amazing rolls. Their rolls are homemade, fresh, and soft and really are my favorite thing about the Checkered Churn. The atmosphere is also great and a fun setting to be in while you wait for your food to come out. I recommend following them on Facebook or checking out their website to see what their menu is before you go in, because the menu changes daily.

Wife and I both had the odd Bagel'wich. The bagel itself was surprisingly good, but the sausage and scrambled egg on top were not. Indifferent small side of cranberry applesauce, and odd toast with cinnimon sugar that neither of us liked. My wife noted after that she'd rather have had an Egg McMuffin from McDonalds; never thought I'd hear her say the like.

Our lunch here was very yummy with reasonable prices and friendly, quick and casual service. I appreciate their menu that depends on what is fresh. Great coffee mugs - they look like gardening pots! Tasty too. Its chock full of country kitchen cutesiness. This is country knick knack heaven.

Drinks are great but menu items are sometimes a little strange. Make sure you check our their online menu since it changes daily! When I come here, I am always impressed and happy with what I receive. It's a lovely shop too!

This place is absolutely amazing! Its such a great, cozy place for a lunch date with your special someone or an afternoon coffee stop. They have a different lunch menu everyday and the best bread pudding (everyday) I've ever had. If you're ever in the Merrill area you most certainly need to visit this treasure!

This place is out of this world! By far one of the best coffee shops in the area and definitely the best in Merrill. This is a cozy place for a lunch date or a nice, relaxing place for coffee with the girls. Their lunch menu varies everyday, but everything I've ever had is delicious! Their homemade rolls melt in your mouth and their bread pudding (which they have everyday) is a must try, so be sure to save room for dessert!
