We were camping at the Council Grounds State Park and it rained all weekend. We needed to eat some breakfast and found this little treasure while driving thru town. It has a very charming small town feel. There were many locals there as well as other campers looking for some good ole home style cooking, and that's exactly what we got! There were only 2 waitresses handling all of us, but never left us waiting for anything. Coffee cup was always full and always tried to converse with us anytime they had a free moment. As busy as they were, I wouldn't have held anything against them for not saying anything to us other than, "how's everything?" But they always went the extra mile. Wonderful service! As far as selection, very good. Many different skillets, omelets, pancakes, waffles, egg plate combos, steak and eggs, eggs Benedicts and many other options. All sounded tasty but only had one stomach so I could only order so much. I had a skillet and my wife had an omelet. Both were perfect. Like my own grandmother had made us breakfast. Any time I'm in this area, it will be the first choice. I recommend to all.

My wife and I had the cod dinner and it was really good -- not overly battered, flavorful, reasonably priced and prepared very much like you'd have at home. Great little restaurant we'd return to in the future.

Great breakfast. You must try their home made carved beef hash. It's a small dinner in a small town so don't expect lightening fast service. It's slow and pleasant like the life style here in Merrill.

Having ate at every restaurant in town, Skippers is one of the best. Very clean and always great service. Awesome Breakfest And A Great Lunch. It has the "Best Damn ham north of the Dam" there is a sign that says this and I have to agree the ham is great and I am not a big fan of having ham, but I really enjoy having it here.

Decent food at a reasonable price. Breakfast offers the tastiest options, in my opinion.
