They have a fair selection if you have no food restrictions. Otherwise, there are better places, better set up for breakfast in Menomonie. No decaf, no herbal teas, limited selection. Regular coffee is weak. 45 minute wait for eggs and potatoes when not busy. Bacon limp and cold Poached eggs cold, hard and fried sunny side up. Even took a pic of it to figure out how they messed up eggs so badly. Potatoes are ok and the only thing that came out right, not counting the toast which is hard to screw up. New to Menomonie and totally not impressed with my first time here.

First time here, and I know whenever we're in town visiting our college student we will be back. The Bloody Mary was spicy and the chaser was a local brew, Farmer's Daughter. All on point. The Jerk Burger was delicious, and I don't think I've ever eaten better fries. All in all a great dinner.

My jerk burger was very good. The service was also very good. The buffalo chicken wrap was to spicy for my daughter but good. The soup was good. The beer batter fries were awesome. Good beers on tap. I would highly recommend it to anyone.

Accidental find. Further off the highway than we wanted but glad we did. Burgers and caprese grilled cheese were great. Bartender is exactly what you want. Tentative, friendly and informative.

Good atmosphere and outdoor seating is available too. Food is pretty good and beer selection is better than most. Bloody Mary's have a lot of fixings. Not on the regular menu, but they make a good peanut butter burger and fish tacos if you ask. Service is usually pretty good.

Went here to try their breakfast the day after homecoming at 10:30 am with my family. Received our first plate at 12:00 and the rest of the plates 10 minutes later. We would have left but our server kept saying it was almost ready. She never refilled waters or coffee, and only offered 10% off our bill. Place was not busy, every worker looked hungover and the manager never came out to apologize. Food was not worth the hour plus wait and was very greasy and flavorless. Would have been better off going to Dennys.

A little pricey but good food. I suppose since the restaurant is so close to campus the prices were a little high. The atmosphere was good and the service was also good.

Log Jam is another great place to eat in Menomonie. They use a lot of local ingredients and the prices are pretty decent for the quality of the food. I love that you can get fresh fruit as a side and it's actually cut up fruit- not from a can like a lot of restaurants do. I love getting the Buffalo Chicken Wrap or the Salmon Sandwich. They have a patio out back that is great to sit at in the summer. The bar scene at Log Jam is alright. I personally don't think the specials are that great, but I usually go out on Saturdays when they have $4 Long Islands, which is decent if you like them (I'm not a fan). They do have a great selection of craft beer on tap. I recommend the Monk's Flemish Sour Ale if you're looking for something unique, although it is a pricier brew at $5 a glass.

I'm giving this place 5 stars based on the quality of their food, service, and location. If it was in the Twin Cities, it would be 4 stars because the "dining room" area could be prettier. But it's in Menomonie, WI, so you can't have super high expectations for anything. I digress. The food is fabulous. They take the simplest ingredients and make them wonderful. I don't know how they get their grilled chicken sandwich so perfect and juicy every single time. It's among the best grilled chicken sandwiches I've ever had, and it honestly just has grilled chicken, tomato, lettuce, and mayo on it. The buns they use are the best. Also, their fries are addictive, so if you're on a diet then beware. They offer the best drinks in Menom as well. Great beer selection and cocktails! The atmosphere is nice during peak hours, but a little dull during midafternoon when not many people are in. I definitely recommend this place!

The Log Jam is a pretty typical college-town sports bar that does their best to appeal to a wider audience. They have a varied and ample selection of craft beers and an above average bar menu. I have never been disappointed by a visit to the Log Jam. Order a flight of beer next time you're there, and try out some local craft beers or some beers that you have never tried before.

I was here last week for the first time. I had the wings. They had the perfect amount of spice and flavor. They were really good. I also had the English burger. The sauce that they they used was very good. The prices aren't bad either. I will be back soon hopefully to try other things on the menu!

My friend and I stopped in a few days ago after stopping by the Lucette Brewery. We only had a pint each...but liked the establishment and our server was attentive and well informed regarding the beers on tap. If I find myself in Menomonie again, I will certainly stop back in!

As a University of Wisconsin - Stout graduate (I've been out for 2 years) I have to say that I genuinely miss this bar. It's not only a bar but in my opinion has some of the best food in town. Their wraps are magnificent, but my two favorite items on the menu are the Salmon Sandwich and in the winter their chili and grilled cheese really hits the spot. Their nightly specials are pretty amazing as well. Mojito Monday's (and 2-for-1 Tuesdays) were my favorite nights of the week. They have a huge beer selection and have a "Run the Rail" offer, where you get a punch card and if you try each one of their tap beers you get a t shirt. Whenever I find myself back on UW-Stout's campus chances are I'll be making an appearance at Log Jam.

I'm a big fan of a broad selection of beer, and Logjam does not disappoint. Their food is pretty good too, so it's a great "dinner" joint, as well as a great bar. I've also had lunch there, as they have a good number of sandwiches. The ambience inside is also nice - lots of wood and a darkened feel throughout, with a long bar. Their patio in the back is actually quite nice - they've tried hard to make it enjoyable, while being in a back parking lot (think high fences, nice umbrellas, and lots of plants/flora). I had lunch there today, and ordered their "English Burger", which is supposedly award winning. I'm not sure why, as the only thing that was different on it than a normal burger was a "special sauce". Plus, the burger was unfortunately a bit dry. The fries were nice though - and they give you a choice of a few different types of fries (or even homemade chips or a fruit cup). I think this will continue to be one of my "go-to" places for bar food or a wide selection of beers.

Went for Fish Fry. Excellent Fish Fry; however, EXTREMELY SLOW Service, but the food is worth the wait. It is a typical college town restaurant/bar so don't expect much for décor.

Great selection of draft and bottled beer and excellent options for tasting all of them through samplers. Food was good too and the staff and owner were extremely friendly and helpful. Great outdoor seating area too. Went here with a large party for my brother's wedding. This is as good as it gets for Menomonie.

I love the large booths and the amount of room the bar has....during the Summer when the Stout Students are not there. If you're going on a Friday or Saturday night during the school year, be prepared for it to be packed.

This is the place in Menomonie for UW-Stout college students to see and be seen. And since most of their clientele is under 23 they also card everyone who walks in the door. That was the highlight of my time at this bar because I've noticed a marked decrease in the number of times I'm asked to present my license when I order an adult beverage. Do you feel sorry for me? I feel sorry for myself. How sad. Aside from being the place where everybody goes, it was nothing special. They had a pool table, dart machines, Big Buck Hunter and large booths that comfortably seated 6-8 people. No waitress service that I saw and inconsistent pours. My first drink was heavy on the rum; the second was heavy on the diet Coke. Their choice in music was also quite interesting and consisted mostly of pop-rap. I'm pretty sure they played at least 3 Eminem songs during the hour we were there. This bar also made me realize how much I've grown to appreciate smoking bans. Before we left, my head was spinning (and not from the alcohol) and my lungs were starting to seize up. Nicotine is an outdoor recreation. I'm officially convinced.

Recent visit for beers.....sat at bar for 15 minutes before even being acknowledged, and it was not busy. Once service was received it was delivered with wise-ass attitude. Bartender seemed to get a thrill from thowing bottles into the trash in order to make the loudest sound possible. This place used to have some of the best bartenders in town....now very unprofessional and unattentive....unfortunate because we used to like to stop in.

I've been to the Log Jam many times and I've never had a bad meal. The food is consistently flavorful and fresh. Their burgers and wraps are excellent and their salads--even just a simple side salad--are always fresh and nicely presented. The only thing that keeps me from giving them five stars is the service. The servers are not attentive and they are in no particular hurry to serve you. For example, we were there for lunch recently. The restaurant was about half full and it was more than adequately staffed. Yet it took ten minutes for us to get our drink order (sodas and water). After we had gotten our food, we didn't see our server again until we were on our last few bites. And it wasn't because she was busy; it was because she and the other servers were standing around talking. Nobody was tending to their customers, nobody was wiping tables or any of the other odd jobs you should be doing when you aren't busy with customers. If their service was as good as their food, the place would be a gold mine.
