Great coffee from Alakef roasters out of Duluth, MN (probably my second favorite only to Alterra). But wait...there's more! A friendly, cozy atmosphere. Think farmhouse meets arthouse. Awesome home made muffins. Tasty sandwiches on fresh baked bread for about the same price point you'd encounter at a sub chain. Oh, and they have occasional live music from regional and even national acts (generally bluesy or folky).

First off Wisconsin... WHAT THE ACTUAL H E double hockey sticks, don'tcha know, go Packers is going on at this place? Upon entering, my husband Olaf (known as Al to our friends) and my tween daughter Hillary were greeted by a topless hostess. Normally the sight of an attractive, large breasted female is right up the ally of my worthless husband. I was stunned when Olaf stopped dead in his tracks. I thought he had suffered some kind of stroke or seizure usually accompanied with his 'moments.' We had thought that this was a quaint country-style coffee house nestled in a hidden Midwestern Hamlet. Apparently the 'Uncommon Ground' features trans-gendered, bi-polar dancers that can't get work any where else. Because it was 7 in the morning and no other establishments were open locally, we decided to stay and be entertained by the 'she-male' dancing upon our table with nimble ankles and loads of practiced skill. I ordered the 'Hairy Nancy' off the menu and was greeted with a lifeless and tasteless pile of bread and organ meat. I wasn't sure why they had named it such a peculiar name, but upon biting into it and quickly discovering one pubic hair between my teeth I got the basic idea. Not family friendly folks. Caters to the sick fucks and weirdos who spend their morning gossiping about each other and swilling down cattle piss. Fetish place. Would have been nice for a bachelor party but not much else. Sorry guys.

Came here on vacation. Stopped to see my child hood friend who runs it. Sara is super friendly and has great customer service. I actually came here a couple times during the 5 day visit in Medford. The coffee is good and so was the hummus wrap. We forgot to take a selfie!

I enjoy coming here whenever I am in town. Great coffee selection with great service. I usually have lunch here with friends and their sandwiches are simple yet delicious. My favorite is the dill sandwich with ham and roast beef. Love the ambiance with artwork to eye and and outdoor back patio.

What is the purpose of living without a nice hot cup of 'Good Morning America' to start your day. While the 'ole percolator in your average kitchen does the job, a coffeeshop is more about the experience. It's like comparing McDonalds to a Steakhouse. Both of them will fill you up, but one is much more desirable. Uncommon Ground is certainly a more exciting place to draw yourself out of your morning grogginess. WiFi, relaxing music, soothing decor, and a friendly atmosphere. What more can a person ask for?
