I also met my husband there and 2 kids later we still love going here! Just not every weekend like before. Lol! Was there two weekends ago guys started to get crazy and the owners friend went up to them and walked them out and said they were done!! Love that they watch this place! Hate paying a babysitter to go out to deal with drama!!!!! And better yet they have free pool from 6-10 and a foosball table we love this!!!

Five stars for Medford. The only supper club in town worth going to. Great salmon and steaks. I haven't heard anyone I know say they've had a bad experience here!

A local treasure! Well worth the drive! Scenic drive as well! I ate: 1. Walley - best I ever had! Why? Select filet that was perfectly cooked, and more importantly for me - not oily!!! 2. Prime rib - WOW! After traveling all over the U.S., and trying prime rib, East to West, North to South, Turtle Club gets my vote for the tenderest, most flavorfull ever! Awesome! Great beer selection too with Spotted Cow! The owners and wait staff are awesome! Rating: normally I would reserve 5-stars for a top European style restaurant. For northern Wisconsin, the Turtle Club's food quality, presentation, pricing, on-lake location, and cleanslieness, I have to rate them at least 4.5 stars!
Great food, lake view & prices. It's a little off the beaten path but worth the drive from Medford. I learned that broasted chicken is a fried type chicken...crispy on the outside & juicy on the inside. Yummy! Fried pickle spears were hot & delicious. Staff were super friendly & wanted to make sure everything was perfect. Very nice visit.

Great coffee from Alakef roasters out of Duluth, MN (probably my second favorite only to Alterra). But wait...there's more! A friendly, cozy atmosphere. Think farmhouse meets arthouse. Awesome home made muffins. Tasty sandwiches on fresh baked bread for about the same price point you'd encounter at a sub chain. Oh, and they have occasional live music from regional and even national acts (generally bluesy or folky).
First off Wisconsin... WHAT THE ACTUAL H E double hockey sticks, don'tcha know, go Packers is going on at this place? Upon entering, my husband Olaf (known as Al to our friends) and my tween daughter Hillary were greeted by a topless hostess. Normally the sight of an attractive, large breasted female is right up the ally of my worthless husband. I was stunned when Olaf stopped dead in his tracks. I thought he had suffered some kind of stroke or seizure usually accompanied with his 'moments.' We had thought that this was a quaint country-style coffee house nestled in a hidden Midwestern Hamlet. Apparently the 'Uncommon Ground' features trans-gendered, bi-polar dancers that can't get work any where else. Because it was 7 in the morning and no other establishments were open locally, we decided to stay and be entertained by the 'she-male' dancing upon our table with nimble ankles and loads of practiced skill. I ordered the 'Hairy Nancy' off the menu and was greeted with a lifeless and tasteless pile of bread and organ meat. I wasn't sure why they had named it such a peculiar name, but upon biting into it and quickly discovering one pubic hair between my teeth I got the basic idea. Not family friendly folks. Caters to the sick fucks and weirdos who spend their morning gossiping about each other and swilling down cattle piss. Fetish place. Would have been nice for a bachelor party but not much else. Sorry guys.
Came here on vacation. Stopped to see my child hood friend who runs it. Sara is super friendly and has great customer service. I actually came here a couple times during the 5 day visit in Medford. The coffee is good and so was the hummus wrap. We forgot to take a selfie!

Breakfast menu was adequate. Enjoyed strawberry topped pancakes. Delicious! Farmers breakfast was usual scramble with cheese ham . Taste was good but nothing spectacular. The atmosphere was homey. Service was good .
On a cold, -10 degree day in Wisconsin, there is no better comfort food than scrambled eggs and hashbrowns, smothered in sausage gravy. While It's not on the menu at Medford Cafe... they were happy to oblige my request by adding gravy to their farmer's breakfast of eggs, potatoes, onions, green peppers and cheese. It was heaven and exactly what I needed after being stranded in Medford while I waited for my car to be serviced. The cafe offers free wifi and specialty coffee drinks in addition to a bottomless carafe 'coffee'. The Medford cafe offers a small menu that includes breakfast all day -- including biscuits and gravy (which may not appear on the afternoon menu). It also includes some unexpected items such as bourbon chicken and carrot cake bread pudding. I'm most intruiged by their offering of 'liver & onions' which I expect is good to retain its place on the menu. Service is friendly with newcomers and plenty of regulars. If you want to experience the best 'hometown feel' that Medford has to offer, this is a great place to stop for breakfast or lunch.
I enjoyed the food...especially the carmel apple bread pudding...I'll be going back here for primary/filling meals while I'm staying here in Medford. Easy access to the AmericInn which is virtually the same parking lot. Lots of "daily specials" variety too. Reasonable pricing, and the wait staff is attentive...

This place is dirty, dirty, dirty. Be careful when you walk on the floor, you might slip on the grease that they seem to mop their floors with. If they even mop. Over by the pop station you'll be fine as the floor has a nice thick layer of spilled pop on it for you to stick to. And if you're rally lucky like most people, they'll be out of chicken or you have to wait thirty minutes to get it. They wouldn't know how to fill a taco or burrito to save their lives. Not nearly the required amount of filling. According to gossip in town if you have the secret password at the drive-thru you can even buy drugs. The employees are obnoxious kids who cold care less about the customers and none of the, have a clue what they are doing there. One time we waiting in the drive thru for 15 minutes listening to the kid say "Ummmm.... Hold on." We finally just t.d him to forget it and we left without getting any food. And if you even think you'll get anywhere by writing the head office, forget it. Been there, done that, nothing changes. They don't even bother calling you back to find out what happened or t offer you something in return for wasting your time with the monkeys they employ. From the bottom all the way t the to this company has severe issues. I wish they would shut it down and open a Popeyes. Now THAT'S chicken!!

Stopped there for a quick meal before heading home after work. Got the burger n fries, hubby got chicken wings. My burger was formerly a hockey puck in their freezer which was in there far too long and tasted funny from freezer burn. The fries were extremely greasy. Hubby's wings tasted terrible he said and were greasy too. Won't be back there again.
