Very friendly place. Opened early for us while we waited for friends to arrive. Fish fry was great!

Terrible service. Had a 7:00 reservation for 10 and weren't seated until 8:00 - which would have been fine if it was just that. But the waitress (who looked like Cruela Deville) was terrible. No explanations, no apologies. - and ultimately acted like we were bothering her for being there and order food. We weren't served our meal until 9:30, which happened to be just after we threatened to leave. Felt like we were intruding on them the entire time. Guess it's fine if your local and don't mind waiting. Unfortunately we won't be back.

Well finally 40 minutes later (they must have ground them fresh) our burgers arrived and beauties they were. ***sarcasm*** They were a nice gray color and appeared as if they were steamed with no grill or sear marks (they were probably frozen and cooked on a flat top with a lid over them). My wife's was adorned with a nice slice of American (Kraft Single style) cheese, one slice of bacon that they kindly tore in two and an onion ring which was also in two pieces (this looks nothing like onion strings or haystack etc.) my onion strings were the same way. My daughter's chicken strips were just your run of the mill frozen crap. So three bites into my burger and the roll has completely crumbled and split into pieces. Yes, literally in tiny pieces! The palms of my hands and my fingers were covered in sauce and I had to eat it with a knife and fork. Now at this point we are eagerly awaiting the waitress so we can voice our concern. But she never checked to see how we were doing. Finally I asked another waitress to find her and I explained why. She said "yeah, those surf and turf burgers usually fall apart hehe they're so big" and walked away. So no I'm sorry, let me get you a new bun, burger etc. and our waitress never came. Soon after, the owner comes out and is talking with the bartender who can't make a flipping old fashioned. They are chatting and looked directly at us several times with snide looks; to a point where I kept eye contact with the owner. At this point I had had enough and confronted the owner. His words were "sir, ever since you arrived, all you have done is complained", so I explained my complaints and he couldn't have cared less. I told him that we've heard such great things about this place and how it all turned into a giant disappointment. So instead of accepting accountability for anything, he tells us that maybe we shouldn't eat there anymore if it's so bad. I told him I couldn't agree with him more and we left. I didn't even finish my beer! Yeah, that bad LOL. While paying, the female bartender asked how it was and we explained the story to her. She was the nicest person there. She apologized up and down and cut our bill in half, yet not a care in the world from the waitress or owner himself. Never again will I go there. If you can't make a decent burger, how is your 30.00 steak going to be? If you are going to charge premium prices, the food better be top notch.

Stopped here by boat. Sat on the patio in the shade listening to live music. Ordered a burger and it was delicious.

It was my husband's birthday -- so we drove 5 hours to have a special celebratory meal at Jim & Linda's Supper Club. We fondly remembered a great dinner we ate there years ago. We arrived early (to beat the big crowd). Sadly -- the crowd never materialized And -- I think I know why.... The clam chowder (served in small cups) was watery and tasteless. The salad was a small serving of wet lettuce on a flat plate, with a single piece of rock hard tomato and one slice of cucumber. The breadbasket was three grocery store rolls...unremarkable in every way... YIKES... My husband ordered his prime rib medium rare. It arrived lukewarm yet strangely overcooked. Toughest piece of meat he ever chewed...and chewed...and chewed... His twice-baked potato looked like a frozen food product and it had no flavor. I ordered the BBQ ribs -- and they were stale and awful. Boiled (two days earlier) would be my best guess. Reheated in the microwave, the bottled sauce was poured on top -- but the bottom of the ribs was a very unappetizing gray color. I am sorry to say this must now go down as one of the WORST meals we ever ate....and, at $75...it was expensive as well as mostly inedible. Our waitress was a lovely young girl who couldn't have cared less that we were disappointed in the food. I sincerely doubt anybody connected with Jim & Linda's Supper Club will read this review. From the look of the place -- the outdated interior and the unkempt exterior -- it's been going downhill for quite awhile -- maybe nobody is really in charge any more. It's a pity...

Great experience! Wasn't too crowded and it was unique to order your food at the bar and then have a seat in the dining room when you're ready. When you have a seat, they start your order and bring you soup, salad, and bread (included with all meals). Ordered the tenderloin and stuffed shrimp. Shrimp was very tasty and my tenderloin was very tender! Twice baked potato was a bit overdone but everything else was great and the server was attentive. Others with me had the bacon wrapped pork tenderloin and the prime rib. They said their food was delish!

Great supper club with great views of lake Winnebago...when you walk in there is a horseshoe shaped bar where you have drinks and look at the menu. Your waitress will take your order at the bar and then when your table is ready it is waiting for you with the water glasses filled and soup/ appetizer already there... It's a nice touch.. The menu is diverse, portions good, with daily specials offered...walleye is on the menu and twice baked potatoes are offered.... Also unique, columbia county park is right there with a nice harbor and campground... I've used both and like the facilities... Enjoy!

Nice Lakefront atomsphere. Very pretty to walk around aftewards and see some of the boats the pull in. They do a mean prime rib on Saturday nights. Gets busy so get there early unless you don't mind the wait. Before you get you main course you get salad, soups, and pasta, be sure to save room for dinner. Really nice to go there in the summer time and sit outside. They have a nice seating area.

I hadn't been to Jim and Linda's for about five years, so I was excited to go back. I went with my aunt, who had been there many times while boating on Winnebago. We were served quickly at the bar and asked to be put on the list for dinner. We had planned to be at the bar for a bit, knowing that they were busy. The bar wasn't too packed and there were three bartenders, which should have been enough to adequately serve the number of people at the bar. My aunt waited for over 10 minutes to be offered a second drink (with an empty wine glass in front of her), and had to flag down one of the bartenders (turned out to be the owner) to get her drink. We then flagged down another bartender to make sure we were on the list for dinner, as we had seen four other couples come in after us and be seated. He told us we were on the list and came back a minute later to tell us our table was being set up - interesting, because the server hadn't come for our order yet (the servers come to take your order at the bar and then set your table for you, so that when you sit, your salad is waiting for you). We waited another 15 minutes while we finished our drinks and then asked the same bartender to close out our tab. He told us our table was being set up (again) and I asked him to close the tab as we were leaving. He seemed surprised and asked if we had ordered yet - I told him no, that we hadn't seen a server and that four couples had been seated before us (who came in after us). As we were leaving, we ran into the owner and my aunt told him that we were very disappointed. He also asked if we had been served and we said no, that we had been there for over an hour and hadn't seen a server. He said he'd get our table set up for us, and I told him that another bartender had told us it was being set up 15 minutes prior. He apologized, but didn't seem too concerned to be losing our business.

Don't you love it when you think you remember how good something used to be and when you go back it turns out to be better than you remembered? Oh, no, no, no, no I'm NOT referring to ex-boyfriends fellow Yelpers, rather Jim and Linda's Lakeview Club. It had been 7+ years since I'd made the opportunity to go there and voilá, past the lakeflies, don't worry they're only temporary, and the construction projects going on around Fond du Lac, we arrived, starved and anxious. Quaintly located on the luscious SE border of Lake Winnebago with a view the value of $1k a sq. ft., Jim and Linda's may be just a typical Wisconsin supper club in name, but it is an atypical Wisconsin supper club dining experience. My bf and I took the 'rents out for dinner. Knowing that this place has a normal wait of 1+ hour on weekends, we went a little later, arrived at 8:30pm and were seated immediately. Not only do they offer a Clam Chowder that competes with the likes of the offering at Glen's Diner in Chicago, they serve it in a bottomless bowl with an accompanying ladle for all to part-take in! The classic Friday night fish fry satiated my mom and bf, while the mini version of the sirloin was seared perfectly to my medium preference; overall, a great exemplary Wisconsin dining experience. Since no one actually chooses to go to Pipe, Wisconsin, if you happen to be in the area, ask around for Jim and Linda's and all the locals will know the direction to point you in. It's just over dere ya hey..........

Prime rib on a Saturday night sounds great, but if I were you I'd take a pass on Friday night Battered Cod. Reminded me of the Long John Silver Restaurant fisd (!), and was accompanied for me with a tasteless double-baked potato and water-logged salad ( my husband liked his french fries, however). The clam chowder, though, was fine.

I was born and raised in Fond du Lac and this place was always the best steakhouse in town. Every time that I go back to Wisconsin to visit family, I have to stop in here for a nice meal. They have some great steaks and prime rib as well as many other great items. The service is excellent as well and they are located right on Lake Winnebago so you get a great view of the lake while dining. This place is 1st class all the way.

I've been coming to Jim and Linda's for the last 20 years on each trip to Road America. I have not been in a few years but this year we made a special visit from Chicago to attend an event at the track and used it as a chance to introduce my family to my boyfriend's family. They live in northern Wisconsin, mine live in Michigan so after 6 years of being together this was a big event and wanted to have the introductory dinner at a place special to us so we chose Jim and Linda's. As I have been here many times I am familiar with the big crowds and long waits for a table so we called a couple weeks in advance and asked if we could make a reservation. As we only had a party of 6 they said they were unable to take a reservation for a party that small but suggested we arrive between 5 and 6 to get there before the crowds for a Friday night. We arrived at 5:30 and the place was 1/4 full so we were seated shortly. We ordered drinks, an appetizer, main course and dessert. Overall we enjoyed our meal but I think the quality has slipped somewhat (the perch is from Europe??). but the server was terrific and very attentive as a server. We had just paid our check and within a minute or two the owner Jim came by and asked if we got our check. I thought it was a little odd he asked that and not how was our meal. We responded that we had and as he walked away he muttered to himself something about people who don't wait to get seated take the longest time to leave and about people waiting. I sat there questioning if I had just heard what I thought he said - I really was stunned and shocked. He proceeded to clean the empty table behind us off and was glaring at our table then to himself but loudly said something about a table of 15 as he walked to another empty table near us. While he cleared the second table he slammed the dishes he was stacking so hard he broke a dish and continued to glare at us. Thankfully our parents are older and did not hear his nasty snide comments to himself but wanted us to hear so we would leave which of course we did, I decided to stop and talk to the owner and explain that we had come for a special occasion and made a special trip to visit after coming here for years and he really could not have cared less. His attitude was I got your money now get out. I have never experienced anything like this from an owner. I can understand if you have people waiting for tables that you could approach the table and ask how the meal was, thank them for coming and that we have people waiting for tables would you mind moving to the bar? Too much effort for Jim apparently. I might even understand if we sat at the table a half hour after we paid the check but we were out of there before 7 - just under an hour and a half for drinks, appetizer, dinner and dessert. Don't worry, we won't be wasting any more time at your restaurant again.
