When my significant other and I stopped by the new Capitol Brewery restaurant, we saw this place. We didn't stop in then because it hadn't been open at the time, but I wanted to go in and kind of forgot. Fast forward to today: I was coming back from a rally and saw this place. It's Valentine's Day and--well, shit. I'm a stereotypical girl that loves her chocolate something fierce. And they had a sign for chocolate covered strawberries. And I just couldn't cope with the idea of resisting. The man at the register (who I'm assuming is the owner) is extremely friendly. I was asking him about the strawberries and they had just come in from California and at oldest, were about 4 days old. So not bad! Clearly, it's not going to be local because it's not in season. The strawberries themselves were fantastic; the chocolate coating was just perfectly sweet and softly melted. It wasn't excessive, but it was good and the strawberries were very fresh considering the seasonality. I'd definitely like to come back. On my way out, I noticed there were chocolates I'd only seen in Costa Rica and Europe, so there are some worldwide gems here. It'll just have to be my excuse to come back!
