Best Chinese food in Kenosha, hands down. Staff is friendly, restaurant is clean, and you get a ton of food for the money.

We love this place. We've eaten there 3 times in the past 2 weeks. We've had the Sweet-sour chicken, the Moo Shoo Pork and the Pineapple chicken. Also fried rice. The staff are so nice and courteous. The place is small, but clean. Orders come pretty quickly, food is very hot, portions are quite large (enuf for 2). The favors are bright, crisp and delicious. The MooShoo was among the best I've ever had and I loved the plum sauce. The sweet-sour chicken was so yummy, big juicy pieces of chicken, no gristle or fat to contend with and great coating. The rice is always perfect here and very hot. I was a little disappointed in the pineapple chicken, but not because of taste, it tasted fine. Just a little boring nothing but chicken and pineapple over rice. You must eat here, soon!

Best in Kenosha definitely doesn't mean the best. Have tried several standards here and while it's all pretty decent Americanized Chinese style carryout fare, nothing has really stood out as being exceptional, which considering the proudly displayed status as #8 in the top 100 Chinese resteraunts was a bit surprising. If like most you've never had really exceptional and actually authentic Chinese food you'll probably love this place, they definitely serve the overly gloopy sweet oily goo covered dishes most Americans seem to crave and it seems to be of a pretty consistent quality so that's a plus. Overall I'd actually recommend them to most people, just not my cup of tea so to speak preferring someplace that serves a lot of chicken feet or congee with century eggs.

Plain and simple, this is the best Chinese in Kenosha. Fresh, clean, consistent... I always try something different and it's all good. Wish they delivered, but it's worth going to pick up. My personal favorite is the hot & spicy beef. So damn good!

Always consistent. Love the Hunan Combination minus the beef -- it's perfectly spicey with a nice variety of veggies. Definitely our "go to" meal at Chen's. Also have enjoyed the Singapore noodles and orange beef. Crab Rangoon are a must -- so good! Best Chinese in Ktown hands down.

Chen's is definately a frequent on our list. Generals chicken is definately a must. Very friendly and quick service. Can't go wrong here. Thx for Kit's suggestion, I tried the Singapore Mei and wow, was it incredible. Great suggestion. How I love Yelp and all your suggestions.....well, maybe not all. Lol. But Chen's rocks! You can't go wrong.

Chen's is wonderful! The staff is wonderful, the portions are massive and the food is fantastic. My wife and I have been going to Chen's since it opened a couple years back and have not had a single bad experience. I highly recommend the Hot/Sour Soup. Go for the quart as the left overs hold up very well. The only thing I wish is that my stupid metabolism could handle more visits.

Best Chinese food I've ever had and I'm not even from the area! If you are craving Chinese this should be the ONLY place you want to go to. Their crab rangoon is amazing and has actual crab in the mix! The General Tso's is delicious and the Singapore Mei is awesome. I cannot say it enough: EAT HERE!!!!

I'd never heard of this place til my GPS offered it as one of the local china joints in the area. I tried a couple other places before and was not impressed at all. I'm not a picky eater but decided to give this place a try. Very friendly staff, fresh, hot food and very flavorful. I believe that this is as good as it gets in this area until proven otherwise. I am fairly new to the area and this place did justice as far as catering to my tastebuds. I will visit again!

First time here, I pride myself on finding quality places to eat out and this is my new regular Chinese spot. Everything about the restaurant screams traditional Chinese takeout until you get your food, wow! Best orange chicken I have ever had, ever. I had the Singapore something in curry sauce and it was fantastic, will be trying multiple menu items, very friendly and damn good food I won't be trying any other place around here Im sold on this one.

I'd be very happy to have Chen's Bistro in my neighborhood as they are a nice local food establishment. However they are not in my neighborhood and I did not find the food good enough to make the drive again. My dining experience is one and done. The food was okay. I found the flavor profiles to be off from traditional Chinese food. This is not the McD's of Chinese food, you can tell they make everything right there and try hard. It was fresh, it just wasn't great. The place is primarily a carry out restaurant but they do treat you nicely for not having any wait staff. I also found the place to be very clean. There were banners showing off how some organization rated them to have 8th best Chinese food in the country and I just don't see how that could be possible.

I have Ben eating here since they first opened. The food is always good. The shrimp roll is awesome. I have been to many Chinese places over the years in k town but I mainly go to chens for the last couple years. Chens has never let me down unlike other places in k town.

First of all I want to say this is the third time I've eaten Chen's Bistro this week. Second, I almost had to cancel my order because of this snow emergency (I had no way to pick up my order). But the fantastic people at Chen's delivered my delicious General Tso's chicken for no extra charge!! These people know how to run a business! I grew up in the Chicago area, so along with having my pick of authentic Chinese food, I've also sampled some actual chinese food in Hong Kong. That said, I assure you, anything you get at Chen's will be delicious. I love you Chen's Bistro, I love you so hard. I ravingly reccommend the General Tso's chicken. If you are a fan of Pancit, try the Chicken Mei Fun.

The boys & I tried to go out to eat tonight since we had a rare night together and basically had NOwhere to go.. We did the grand tour around K-town and ended up eating in at Chen's. I finally talked them into doing up some real szechuan shrimp and not some (oh I better not make this too spicy for the whimpy American who claims to like it very spicy) version.. It was full on red pepper city. The fresh teriyaki chicken on a steek for appetizer was outstanding too!

The service was friendly, food was delicious, very generous portions. We are always looking for good Chinese/Asian food and this one is now at the top of our list. We had the Lemon Chicken, Happy Family, Gen Tso's Chicken along with the dumplings, both steamed and fried and last but not least the Crab Rangoon which I have to say was absolutely delicious. I normally do not care for the rangoon, it's definetly not the frozen rangoon you normally get, you could actually taste the crab and it had more than just a cream cheese taste. I highly recommend Chen's Bistro and look forward to trying other menu options in the future.

I used to order from New China since they delivered, but after moving closer to Chen's, I decided to check them out. Now they are my new favorite and ONLY place I go to get Chinese food. I am sure we all know that the food is pretty standard for a fast food takeout joint, but here's what set it apart as a business who should get your money: The food is very well worth the money. They load it with meat, vegetables and cooked all in a method that does not make you feel like crap afterward. They use fresh oil and make everything fresh and house-made when ordered . From their broth to the fried foods, it's all very light and satisfying. The staff is VERY friendly. Admit it, whenever you go into a Chinese place the first thing you normally hear is a bunch of yelling and you're rushed to make your order, wait forever and then get your food and leave. It's just not pleasant. But Chen's is personable and they WILL recognize you when you come in more than once and then treat you like family. It's quiet if you decide to eat in you don't have to feel uncomfortable about asking for your food to be a certain way or ask about what you want. Kenosha is FILLED with places to eat. Some good some bad, but the reasons I mentioned above is why I try to support their business after being disappointed so many times with other places. If you're in the area I highly recommend you give them a try. You'll be trading in 5 dollars for a delicious meal. :) TLDR; Eat here.

One of the better Chinese restaurants in Kenosha. Fresh ingredients and friendly service. My favorite entree from their menu is the General Tso chicken.

We have been coming here for take out since we moved from Hawaii about 3 years or so and can tell you that this place has the best Chinese food in Kenosha/Pleasant Prairie. In fact when at work my coworkers will order from local places in Illinois and it disappoints me so much that I get mad when eating and paying for sub-par food. Chens is so good, that no place I've been to can compare quality, quantity and flavour. Yes its Americanized cuisine but still very good for Kenosha County and Lake County IL area. The char-siu pork fried rice is awesome! It has a smoky flavour that I adore. The House soup is my favourite go to soup when I don't feel like cooking especially if I am sick I throw a couple of hot mustard packets in the broth and start feeling better immediately. I posted some pictures of my other favorites. The staff is always nice and will accommodate any new or special requests. They will even make my favorite dish that is a local dish in Hawaii Beef Choi sum with cake noodle in oyster sauce they said just let them know in advance and they are happy to do it. The only downfall is that when you come in for a dine in experience the dishes and utensils are all disposable throw away so that's why we always do takeout. Although they do have nice clean seating area.

I love the tables/decor in this place & of course the food.. It tastes so fresh and non greasy. You get alot of food in the combination platters. Their fried rice is soo different from other places, veggies always fresh, everything is just GOOD. The girl that answers the phone is fluent in english and always friendly. I switched to these people from New China and never looked back. The only set back is they don't deliver, but i don't mind picking up because i'm only a couple blocks away. It is definately worth it =)

Chinese Cuisine

The popularity of Chinese food in America can be adjudicated by the appearance of China Town in many major cities in the United State of America. The popular trend of ordering or opting for Chinese take away food isn't unknown in America. Chinese take away food comes to rescue when you're too tired from work or too exhausted to cook. No one can resist the temptation of eating spicy noodles, shrimp, chicken, beef or pork cooked in the sweet and spicy sauce. The cooking method of authentic Chinese food is a lot different compared to what is served in America.

Generally, Chinese use dark meat small bones and organs to cook dishes but this changes when you are eating American-Chinese fusion food prepared using white boneless meat cooked with broccoli, carrots and onions. Back in China, the food is less spicy and oily as they favor steaming and braising method for cooking the most popular dishes. So, if you have a taste for authentic Chinese food, then try finding a real Chinese restaurant in the city. You can also try the most popular fusion Chinese food like Pecking Duck, Chicken Feet, Hot Pot, Shrimp Dumpling Soup, Mapo Tofu, Wontons, Chop Suey, Egg Rolls and not to forget Fortune Cookies.

There are not many restaurants in America serving authentic Chinese food. A little research on Restaurant Listings directory can help you locate the best Chinese restaurants in the city. Chinese cuisine is continuously evolving, and you can find a variety of dishes categorized as the food for lactose intolerant, gluten intolerant, vegan, vegetarian, and diabetic friendly. So, if you have a group of friends with different taste patterns, save the hassle and visit the nearest Chinese restaurant in your city.
