The pizza we ate last night was the best pizza I've ever had. The toppings were delicious, and they don't skimp on the toppings. The crust was just as good. The pizza came hot from the oven. We'll be back.

I was visiting the area and discovered this little gem run an older couple (Tony & Maria). First of all you need to know this place doesn't look like much. Perhaps in a former life it was a gas station or something. Also it is super small which is fine since it is delivery or carry out only. The inside waiting area is only as big as a hotel elevator- with room for just a few people to come and go to pick up pizza. I ordered the smallest size (10 inch) sausage and green peppers on a Friday night and took it back to the hotel room. I was told 45 minutes and when arrived exactly 45 minutes later, it literally had just been pulled from the oven, cut and boxed. I should have used a little more care to keep it perfectly horizontal in the car because a bit of the 5 pounds of cheese had oozed off the side when I opened it up - but no tragedy. From the first bite it was love. I've had pizza in lots of cities around the world and for good American style pizza loaded with cheese and toppings, this place is hard to beat. Can't wait to get back to the area so I can order it again. One helpful suggestion - be sure to have lots of napkins on hand. In my case, it took a whole hotel towel to keep my hands clean as I removed the squares of gooey goodness one by one (sorry housekeeping!). A 10" could easily feed 2 people and was around $15 but with all the toppings it was a GREAT deal.

Excellent pizza.... Tons of cheese! Nice sized pieces of sausage too. Be warned though that the 19" pizza is HUGE!! We bought 2 pizzas for 7 people and 1 would have been enough. Price was $58 for the 2 pizzas plus 7 cans of 7-Up. We had our pizzas delivered to the Hampton Inn which was very convenient.

We have been eating at this mom and pop staple of Janesville Wisconsin since I was in grade school. Still the best, greasiest, cheesiest pizza ever 40 years later!

Terrible service. Ordered a pizza for delivery and waited an hour and a half, called to see where it was and they hadn't even made it yet. They did however charge my credit card immediately. Cancelled the order.

Not sure why the the reviewer, Greg L., said this place is closed. I ordered pizza here for the first time on 6/13/14 and it is OPEN! It's a take out only place and the pizza is very good and reasonably priced. I've had better pizza elsewhere, but paid much more for it. I recommend planning ahead and calling your order in ahead if time because it took them 40 minutes to make my delicious pizza. I'll definitely be back sometime!

This is a tiny family owned pizza place that is take-out or delivery only. And it is the best pizza that I have ever had. You will pay more then you will at the typical chain, and the wait will be longer....but when you take the first bite, you will realize you are getting what you paid for. They are very generous with the cheese and toppings, no need to ask for extra. The sauce is delicious and the put a seasoning on their crust that I can't quite identify, but I love it. Note that they are closed on Mondays!

After 20+ years of eating their pizzas, they've always remained one of the best Mom & Pop places ever. While the prices are higher compared to the normal $10 for anything pizzas that most places offer, the quality is top notch every time. Pizzas covered thick in cheese, sauce thin but just the right amount and toppings that are always tasteful, you can't go wrong. The crust is never hard and crunchy, but soft and chewable. Great for single servings (10" pizzas) and perfect for large groups (27" pizzas), you can never go wrong with a delicious pizza.

Price aside, Tony & Maria's Italian Pizzeria by far exceeds my expectations every time! They are worth every red cent! I strongly encourage anyone to try them out! Cheese lovers... No need to order extra cheese! A 14" will feed a family of 5 without a problem and you will probably still have leftovers.

I've had a lot of pizza in my life, and it is hard to believe, but the pizza I took for granted during my youth is hands down the BEST PIZZA I've had in my life. It's not cheap, but it is not that expensive either. You definitely don't ever need to order extra cheese, they load it on for you already. I try to get one any time I'm in Janesville.

Italian Cuisine

The immense popularity of Italian cuisine globally isn't unknown. You can find an Italian Pizzeria around every corner of almost every city in the United States. Not to forget that in every house, people enjoy mac and cheese as comfort food. But it would be wrong to believe that Italian food starts with pizza and ends with good pasta as this Mediterranean country has much more to offer other than these two dishes. In Italian Cuisine, there is a high use of fresh tomatoes, all kinds of herbs, great quality of cheese, all types of meat, seafood and fresh handmade pasta. Many find it hard to believe that Italians have been making noodles long back.

Italian and Greek cuisines are always mistaken to be same, but they are poles apart. The primary difference between the two cuisines is the use of cheese in most of the Italian dishes. Italians love to cultivate their own cheese and process them as per their food requirement. It is believed that some cheese is so expensive that cheese producers secure them in lockers.

If you are bored eating the same old pasta or pizza, you can try some of the authentic Italian dishes like Risotto, Polenta, Ribollita, Lasagna, Fiorentina Steak, Bottarga, Ossobuco, Carbonara, Focaccia, Arancini and Supplì. Another item which Italians love to relish every morning is a good cup of Italian Coffee. Once you taste a freshly brewed cup of Italian Coffee, you might not visit Starbucks ever again. Authentic Italian food is made with heart and soul, so go find a restaurant where you can relish Italian cuisine in your city.

Other than these famous meat options, Pizzas with veg toppings such as mushrooms, pepperonis, garlic, tomatoes, spinach, etc. are also famous in most restaurants in the United States.

Irrespective of your locality, you will find a variety of different restaurants in your cities offering pizzas of all different types. Pizza is hot favorite among people of all ages in the United States. A large size pizza is enough to feed a family of 3 or 4 at large. Pizza is also the most preferred food whenever a group of friends is hanging out together. Pizza gained popularity in the United States after the American soldiers stationed in Italy returned from World War II.

Over the years, different pizzerias in the United States have developed their own respective regional variations.
