One of Hartfords hidden gems. Angee serves up some delicious sandwiches and wraps as well as homemade soups. They decorate the walls with paintings by local artists. Always friendly workers. A definite step up from the sandwich chains that are around.

Subs are ok. Nice to have an option against Subway and Cousins. In the past, I was always surprised how expensive this place was. It seems that the prices have lowered a little bit. Stopped there today and was not impressed to find that my bun was hard--like tap your finger on it stale. I had pepperoni, colby cheese, roast beef, and bacon. They were slivers of slices for each. Extremely thin slices. So maybe they lowered the prices by decreasing the food. Not sure. Anyway, the hard stale bun, that's unacceptable.

Delicious soups!!!! And if you haven't tried their deserts -you should! I first thought they were a little pricey- but after trying them I know why. Great quality fresh & house made ! Yummy!

By far the best subs and soup from anywhere! Huge choice list. Made just right. Great service to boost.

Such a great local sandwich and soup place! I have been eating there for years, and the sandwiches are always great. The soups are excellent, as well. Angie B'z is a great alternative to the typical chain sandwich shops. Some of my favorites are the "Taste of Italy" sub and the Brie and mushrooms soup. Skip the chains and eat here!

Awesome awesome awesome! I cannot believe I never tried this place before! The looks from the outside are deceiving. Once you get inside, you see a clean, cozy cafe, with a huge chalkboard menu full of options for the whole family! I just got my tonsils out and was looking for soup. So I read previous Yelp reviews and Angee B'z did not disappoint. I ordered the Broccoli and Cheese soup and it was delicious. My husband ordered a panini that has my mouthwatering. I cannot wait to go back to try one of their crunchier items!

This has (had) always been one of my favorite sandwich places, LOVE the Italian bread. Like you can order what you want in addition add on to sandwich. My picture speaks volumes! A 6 inch cheese sandwich with 3 PAPER thin slices of cheese, a sliver of tomato and a half inner thin circle of red onion with no oil and vinegar. First time back in area in 5 months and identical sandwich. Love the bread but this place is cutting corners to extreme!

My favorite lunch place in Hartford. Everything on the menu is good and made to order. The even make their own bread and soups. Support local business and give this place a try...you won't be disappointed.

Great place to get a tasty sub. I've eaten there many times and they have never disappointed. Everything is always fresh and the bread is exceptional. My favorite is the sourdough! They also offer soups, salads, and deserts.

Let me preface this by stating that I work at a law firm in the same town as this independently owned and operated restaurant, so I've accumulated multiple experiences here. The last visit in will be my last. Several weeks ago I took my new co-employee out for lunch and was excited to show her my favorite little spot in town. Upon entering, I notice there is a line and several tables full. I believe it was the owners mother and another young lady that were up front taking orders. We waited in line, waited some more and then finally the older lady asked to take our order. We both ordered Panini's and 2 diet cokes. There were several open tables, we grabbed one and began another exhausting wait. While waiting, I looked up at the specials board- today's special: buy 1 panini get second 1/2 off. Huh. I paid full price and mind you, this place charges way too much in the first place. I paid $21.00 this day. So, I get back in line to ask why I wasn't made aware of this special and charged full price. Start another epic wait to get to the counter. The same lady that took my order asked if I needed anything while in line, I asked her about the special and she told me she would come out to my table. Our Panini's had STILL not come and our hour lunch was quickly disappearing. She comes over and places $3 and some change on the table offering me no explanation or apology. Whatever. Our food comes and we both just stare at each other in disbelief. Our hot "Panini's" are cold lifeless, disheveled disasters. Our bread is falling off the top, cold meat, no onion, and barely the work that I had come to love about this place. With 10 minutes left of our lunch we decide we have had enough, we enter the lunch line again to get a refund. Lunches in hand we finally are asked if there is a problem...ummm yeah and it visually speaks for itself. The older lady goes to get the owner and this is where Titanic sinks to the lowest depths. Angie irritatedly comes out and asks "Am I to assume that you don't want those?" I answer, "Correct assumption, can I please have a refund?". She then replies " We have been very busy and I am training a new person". No apology, no action of recourse. As if it is my fault and my problem. As if I should have known and ate my cold sad panini and been grateful because she, as a small local restaurant is busy and training. Isn't being busy a good thing? And further, why the hell are you snapping at me for your mistake. A simple I am sorry that this happened, why don't you let me personally re-make these for you two would have gone a long way. Throw in a cookie with a smile and we would have been fine. Instead, she says "Did you drink out of your sodas?" I respond yes. She refunds my card for only the sandwiches. Classy. With no time left for lunch we ran into Cousin's subs and for only $11 had phenomenal huge subs. Our firm gave Angie large amounts of business. I gave her business. What did Angie give me as a patron of her establishment? A clear road map to Cousin's subs. Mistakes happen, but bad manners and attitude should not.

I absolutely LOVE the food here. My husband and I consider it a treat when we are able to order. We usually get delivery (which is free) but sometimes eat in when we can. The atmosphere is super artsy and I love it! Featured artists change on the wall monthly. The food is and always has been EXCELLENT. Wide variety of sub sandwiches and home made soups. Also some fancy home baked desserts too!
