Went in for brunch with my husband ! Let me tell ya this place is cute & cozy .. Staff is awesome made us feel like regulars ! Talked to us and joked with us ! Then our food came out . Again awesome i had the Italian breakfast ! Just great... My husband had an omelette he said was fabulous. Then we picked up some treats for later cannot wait to try them out ! Definitely will be coming back to this lil gem !!
Love the cozy, home style, food and atmosphere.-they even have Giuseppi's pizza! When you walk in, you feel like you're somewhere else. It's amazing to find a place like this in the middle of a Hales Corners strip mall. It has a small town, quaint, feel to it. The owner is so wonderful to her customers. There is sometimes only 1 person running the place at a time, so you have to sometimes be a little patient when waiting for your meal depending on what you order. I would put your full order in right away if you are short on time. However, you don't even mind waiting a little bit because the space is so warm and inviting. Such a great place!
Excellent cheesecake, hands down beats any other place in WI. I had the Raspberry Cheesecake and it was awesome. When I was there the owner walked past me with 2 plates of the Italian breakfast. As the smell hit me I realized this was one of those easy to miss great places. I gave it 4 stars because when I ordered 2 slices of different cheesecake I got home and had 2 slices of the same kind (Raspberry). Not too big of a deal when it tastes like it does. So forget Simma's (if you go too late they are sold out of everything you want), and forget the Cheesecake Factory (support local businesses people).

Noodles & Company

The people that work here are really nice and friendly. They always get my order right, make it fast and the food tastes great.
So, this is another business that popped up and I wasn't quite sure what it was. Noodles? Like mac and cheese, chicken noodle soup, spaghetti? I didn't get it. And what did the "& Company" mean? It left me intrigued, but since I didn't really know what it was, I wasn't about to go in on this alone. Then, I read reviews from other yelpers, not just for this location, but several others and kind of got a clue.... So, it's upscale fast food. Better quality and taste than, say, McD's, but still available for dine in or take out. Oh, and beer. Did I mention that they sell beer here? I saw Riverwest Stein, an IPA and 2 others. I pulled into the lot and it was packed. Now, granted, this restaurant shares the parking lot with a Chipotle and a Starbucks, but the vehicles were all clustered around N&C. I watched other people go in, so I could locate the door. It seemed, to me, to be in an odd place. Once inside, it was packed! I mean, every table full, about 6 people waiting for their food to go and about the same number of people in line ahead of me. I perused the menu and was quite surprised at the offerings. Mac and cheese? Of course! But there were also Italian pasta dishes, Thai, Indonesian annnnnnnnd sandwiches? Yep, sandwiches, with soup! I'll let you browse their menu (the link is on the right) to see the options, but I chose the Indonesian Peanut Saute with grilled chicken breast: spicy peanut sauce and rice noodle stir-fry, broccoli, carrots, cabbage, Asian sprouts, cilantro, crushed peanuts and lime. If you like spicy (I do!) then this is your dish. For fast food, it was pretty good. The portion was just right and because it was rice noodles, the dish wasn't as heavy as a spaghetti would have been. The price is not fast food-like at all and for that reason alone, I won't be eating here much. 43/2015/137
The service has always been alright. Some employees are more pleasant than others, but no one has ever been terrible. They follow a formula, so food from one store is the same as at another. If you're getting noodles, I recommend the mac'n'cheese with chili on top for a hearty meal. It seems (for me) that even though the name is "noodles" & company, the ratio of noodles vs. the company is too high. That being said, I love to go here after a workout. It's a chain restaurant. Don't expect the best meal of your life, but I'd still eat there!

I love their food and side options. It's very easy to eat and make lower calorie options that actually taste good. My go-to meal is the grilled chiken sandwich (which comes with lettuce, tomato, and pickle-it's good!), mashed potates w/gravy, and a bottled water. It's an awesome meal with A LOT less calories and has a whole lot of flavor. This location has friendly staff and great service. With the countless times I have been there, they only forgot to give me something once. They promptly offered to mail out a coupon or have us come back. We went back and they threw in a free shake for the trouble. They are such a great fast food restaurant.
Culver's is just the best"fast" food around. It is fresh, consistent, always good. They are very transparent with food allergy information. But more than that the food is just darn good. In today's food market Culver's is good and solid and when grabbing dinner before a meeting. after being in the office all day, it is just great to have good and solid. I am sort of addicted to the Deluxe Double, with fries and drink basket. Yummy, but the when I get the grilled chicken sandwich I usually leave the Mayo off and ask for a side of sweet and sou, it is a very suitable substitue for the burger when i want something a little lighter. Please go and keep our local Wisconsin begun chain in business. I mean for the price of a footlong at Subway. I get a sandwivh, drink and side order at Culvelrs and well it isn't subway LOL. Enjoy dining my friends.
A lot of my out of state friends coin this place the "in-n-out of the Midwest". It's not the best burger in town, but it will certainly do for something cheap and fast. The Sourdough Melt, though very greasy, is incredibly good. The custard is always great.

Spent three nights here in November on a family visit. The rooms are clean and all come with their own bathroom, which hasn't been my experience with all bed and breakfast places. The owners make a wonderful breakfast on the weekends and their weekday continental breakfast is also delicious. It's an older home, about 100 years old, I believe, so there's a lot of creaking floors and such, but I slept very soundly on a comfortable bed. I will definitely be staying here again.

Cousins Subs

Reviews:
They have great staff, I received a very lovely cashier. The food is wonderful with my favorite kind of bread.
If you are looking for subs that are a step or two above Subway, then I definitely recommend Cousins. This location is very nice. The inside is fairly spacious, usually pretty clean, and the staff is friendly. I like that Cousins offers online and fax ordering, as well as a drive thru. My husband and I utilized the drive thru on our last visit here and we received our food in a timely manner. There are many choices to choose from with the subs. Ham, turkey, chicken, tuna, Italian meats, meatball and more; there is something for pretty much any palate. You can customize your sub just the way you like it. I personally prefer mine without the lettuce and other veggies. They have never had a problem accommodating my request. Their bread is baked fresh daily and is delicious. Their soups are also very good.
Just wanted to say thanks to the friendly staff here this afternoon who were quick and efficient and very helpful - I needed a quick lunch and dashed in while on a looooong hold with my doctor's office. I apologized for being on my phone to the older gentleman at the register and explained why I was and he nodded his understanding - of course that's when the Dr's office picked up - the nice guy behind the register did the rest of our bit in pantomime and went out of his way to get me my lunch quickly and with a minimum of fuss. I hate being rude and going into my place on my phone, but sometimes it's unavoidable - I was on hold for more than 10 minutes, so go figure the timing would coincide here. I just wanted to give them props for not getting huffy with me and for getting me out the door efficiently. Maybe that should be status quo, but we all know it isn't, so thanks Cousins of Hales Corners for being a bright spot in my otherwise blag sort of day.

Starbucks

Reviews:
This is by far the best Starbucks location in Milwaukee if you ask me, and I'm not just saying that because it's the closest one to my house. The staff are friendly and entertaining and the store is always clean and crowded. But the drive is often crowded as well. I wouldn't say it's because the staff are slow - because they're not. There are just a ton of customers running through all day long. No matter what hour, what day, or the weather, cars are always lined up to get in here. The trick is to park and walk in. Even when I'm behind 5 other people, I can still get in and out with my order before the last car in the drive can get their order. I have ordered food here as well as drinks and never have I been disappointed. I'm not a big coffee drinker. I abhor the taste in fact. But I do like the chai tea hot or cold. I also like the peppermint mocha, but that's about 90% sugar anyway. Food has always tasted fresh and been served warm. I would recommend the blueberry oatmeal. Do you have gift cards and a smart phone? Download the app! You can load all the gift cards onto your smart phone so no more losing them or having to rummage around to find them. Chances are you're already holding your phone so you're halfway there. I would say there is only one downfall, and it's not their fault. Because of the location of this tiny strip and it's conjoined businesses - Chipotle and Noodles - the parking lot can get confusing and congested. All three are very busy all day long so there is a lot of traffic coming and going through the lot. Save yourself the headache and park in the lot nearest to Sherpers along the drive-thru. Or, you could park in the back which is the far end of the Pick 'n Save lot.
Very good service, always happy and very helpful. Drive thru is hard to access. Coffee is always made just right.
Had a very rushed morning. Went to my favorite Starbucks in Hills corners in the baristas took care of me and put a smile on my face. The time in line was very quick and they served my cup of coffee with a friendly smile. I really enjoy my Starbucks experience in the people make a big difference.

Ann’s Italian Restaurant

Reviews:
I have heard many good things about Ann's from friends over the years. So, on a recent Friday night, my husband and I decided that we were finally going to stop in for dinner. When we arrived, we were able to be seated immediately. Our server was very nice and took good care of us. The decor of the restaurant has both old fashioned and modern style. The building itself appears to have been a house at one time. They have an outdoor patio that's perfect for a lovely dinner in the summer. My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed the food. We started out with an appetizer of the mozzarella marinara. The sticks were a decent size. For my meal, I had the stuffed shrimp, which was delicious. The shrimp is butterflied and stuffed with crab meat, and is topped with a buttery glaze. It is served over garlic butter egg noodles and spinach fettuccini. They are generous with the portion sizes. I was not able to finish all of my meal. My husband had the chicken parmigiana, which he said was very good. I highly recommend getting an order of their garlic bread. It is very buttery and has just the right amount of crispiness to it (not too much and not too little). I have been told that the pizza here is fantastic. Therefore, I will have to make a return trip here and check it out :-)
Pizza is really good. The eggplant medallions are good too. That's about all I've ever had there. This place is like top 3 in Milwaukee area pizza in my opinion. Looks like they might have a decent wine selection if you're fancy enough for that kinda thing.
Enjoyed a glass of wine in the foyer as there is no bar. We didn't have a reservation. 20 minute wait at 7pm on a Friday. Not bad, but no bar? The marinara that accompanied the fried eggplant appetizer was delicious. Wife had lobster ravioli in a garlic butter sauce. Very good. For me, a big bowl of pasta with clams and calamari. Seafood was fresh but a little chewy. Tasty. The pizzas looked terrific. I'm pretty sure we will go back for one.

Big Apple Bagels

Hales Corner Shopping Center,5710 S 108th St
Hales Corners, 53130
Reviews:
Huge selection of bagels - probably 30+ different kinds of bagels with about 10+ different flavors of spread. Also, this place cheaper than Panera, especially if you want to order a dozen bagels.... and it certainly is far less busy than Panera. Love their breakfast sandwiches - my favorite is an Egg bagel, toasted with scrambled eggs and cheese on the bagel. They also have fantastic, huge muffins and a decent selection of coffee. If you're looking for a quick breakfast or to order a selection of bagels for the office, I'd highly recommend stopping at Big Apple Bagels.
I wish there were more Big Apple Bagels left in Milwaukee - yum! I stop in at this BAB when I am in need of comfort food at its best. The bagels are giant (Swiss Melt is my favorite!) and the abundance of cream cheese (salsa flavor rocks!) always hits the spot. It's certainly not healthy, but damn it's good! The owner of this location is friendly and always ready with a smile. The bagels and coffee are always hot and ready. In my opinion, it's worth going out of your way to make a visit to this BAB.
Service was fast and friendly, but the bagel left much to be desired. It's a regular bagel with not all that much flavor. It basically served as a device for which to sandwich the cream cheese. I went with the Cheddar Bagel and Cheddar Bacon Cream Cheese. I was kind of excited to find the Cheddar Bagel had bacon on it, too. Then, I realized it appeared to be artificial bacon, something along the lines of Bacos. The bacon sprinkles were on top the bagel and in the cream cheese. Such a bummer. The positive part is that the food is relatively cheap. It was a little over $6 for the bagel and cream cheese with a giant fancy pants Brewster's Coffee Caramel Decadence frappé drink that was surprisingly good. We split both and it kept us somewhat satisfied until dinner time. However, I don't think I would return because I much, much, much prefer Bruegger's Bagels.

It's old but great for sitting back and listening to the locals spin yarns about their days. The owners are great and I can't say enough kind words about them. It's meant for an older crowd, but I prefer that over the crazy busy sports pubs and specialty bars.
Never felt so unwelcome before anywhere before. Unless you are a regular I would go somewhere else. Over held someone say they where going out of businesses. I can see why. You are treated like you are not invited.
Fun old time cocktail lounge - very quiet - very clean - and best of all you don't have to worry about someone dragging their brats into your drinking hour! Makes a great old fashioned................ Lots of regulars - they have their own "seating" ......

CHIPOTLE MAKES ME THINK I'M JOEY CHESTNUT. I order a chicken burrito with guacamole pretty much each time I come to this Hales Corners location. They're super fast and have your food ready in what seems like 30 seconds. There's something about a Chipotle burrito that makes me think I have to eat it ALL in one sitting. HOURS: Mon-Sun 11am-10pm NEXT TO: Starbucks and Noodles & Company
Food always fresh .. customers always come first.. Friendly staff always looking to get customers involved with their food ill deff go back
I love chipotle. This one made my chicken burrito in about 30 seconds and it actually tasted better than most chipotles cuz she didn't clump all the sour cream in one spot so every bite had sour cream in it. Ill be back.
